(fake?) Y1, want watch faces - Other SmartWatches

Bought a cheap Chinese smartwatch over the Internet, seemed a Y1 but now I think it's a fake.
Used code *#8375# to get some info, which look as follows:
[VERSION]: K13-COB-Y1- IPS7789BOE-BDYD-ZH-V06.563- 20180507 [BRANCH]: 11CUMEOX_61D_BT_11C
I think it has the Mediatek MTK6261D chip.
The pedometer seems fake as well and counts 7 steps every 7 seconds. The screen waking gesture doesn't work.
Inserted a 16G spare microSD card I had, and confirmed the watch is able to read it.
Tried to install some other watch face with the Mediatek SmartDevice Android app. The app recognizes the watch as a Y1 but I can't install any watch face.
Any help available? Thanks

Can you upload FULL_FLASH Backup please?

I have to get comfortable before with all these tools to download and upload watch firmwares, plus, I don't have a Windows computer (just virtualized Windows XP and Linux Mint on a MacBook).

I had this same question
[VERSION] K13-COB-Y1-IPS7789HSD-QCY-KS-V.1429-20180522[BRANCH]:11CUMEOX61D_BT_11CBUILD:_NO SERIAL#:[BUILD TIME]2018/05/22 12:25[MRE VERSION]3100HAL_VERNO:
Thank you.

If everything goes well, I receive a Y1 watch today.
Is it difficult to make a backup of the firmware?
Cause if it is not too difficult, I would try to make it and share the rom with you. It would be nice to install additional faces to this watch.

OK I got
1) FlashTool_v5.1516.00
2) mtk drivers v1.1032.1
3) Readback Extractor mtk 2.4
I'll try to run them on a XP virtualbox istance in my Mac.
Could anybody please point me to a guide to backup the original firmware, so that I can upload it here?
Thanks.

Zeblaze Thor Pro 3G Smartwatch - Original stock firmware

Hello board... first time poster but LONG TIME user. This board has helped me for years with my last 4-5 smartphones and several tablets... The least I can do is pay back. I went to the other "round" site with my issue, due to the fact that I could find an answer here. To be honest..... I wasn't real pleased with the moderator's tone and responses to me... when I was simply trying to help others. So here I am after erasing all this info at the other site...ha!
So I was playing around with my Zeblaze Thor Pro 3g and trying to flash different firmware. I actually bricked my watch flashing it as a Thor S and had to wait 4 days for the battery to run out to re-flash it again. I searched and searched and searched for the stock rom... to no avail. I reached out to Zeblaze directly and after a few days got results.... YES!!!
Ok now so I've had success installing the original Thor Pro 3G rom.... yes!
It is easy to do using SP Flash Tool and following the PowerPoint Instructions.
Dropbox folder with all Zeblaze Pro 3G files:
www.dropbox.com/sh/iz6lcrgewwcorhp/AABGV6ii6PM66KmspateRXgva?dl=0
Here you will find:
* PowerPoint with Instruction on flashing
* Drivers for Windows
* SP Flash Tool Version v5.1652
* Stock Zeblaze Pro 3G ZIP file (with scatter file)
I have flashed it now, it is working great and this is what my watch says:
Model Number: Thor Pro
Android Version: 5.1
Kernel Version: 3.10.72 Sat May 12 12:55:06
Build Number: XY_C5_X300_KY16_V1.4_20180512
On another note: I have turned off auto wrist wake up, wifi and the Play Store auto update. I am using Wiiwatch and BT calling. I am now getting great battery life. It has been over 30 hours and I am still at 69%. I haven't spent much time on it though... mainly checking time and messages.
BEST OF LUCK EVERYONE!

Jebbs, This is for the Zeblaze Thor Pro....... not the S version.
What did not work? Did you follow the instructions in the Powerpoint exactly?
Did you make sure your watch was turned off prior to plugging it in to your PC?
It worked fine on mine...

Hello..
Yep, doesn't work. The display still in a real black darkness. I think that, the problem is on the "video" configuration, because the smartwatch started, but withou any image in the display. Thats the problem..
Hmmm... that is weird. I had bricked mine with a black screen too. I was trying to flash a Thor S on my Thor Pro.... didn't work. It acted just like yours. I could connect it to my PC and it would show up, just had a black screen. I figured it must be because the Thor s wasn't compatible with my Thor Pro. I had to wait 4 days for the battery to run completely down to re-flash with the one I provided above. Like I said, it worked fine for me but I had to wait 4 days until the battery completely ran down. I would check it each day by holding down both buttons and feeling a vibration. If I felt the vibration, I knew it still had battery life in it and was still "on". I even tried to remove the back to disable the battery to no avail. Just wait a few days and try it again after the battery goes dead.
In my Dropbox there are the windows drivers, the SP flash tool (version v5.1652), the instruction PowerPoint and the ZIP file. I just realized that when I did mine, used the SP flash tool version v5.1744. I wonder if that would make a difference for you. I uploaded a newer version of the SP Flash Tool V5.1744 to the same link above. Just in case you want to try that one too. Hope this helps
you dont need to wait for battery just opened the watch, its easy just carefull, you maybe install something wrong,i did have too black with a grey in the middle, your PC recognize the watch,if it is ok you are good to go, get the stock firmware V1.4, its weird,it says the thor S,but is the one,use SP flash tool, format and download everything again and see what happen. good luck, you can even use the TWRP recovery, expanse for the OpenWatch project for the thor pro,go and read it.

Hold in your top button for a few secs.... you will get a screen that says power off-reboot-power save-recent task. look above that line and you will see your watch (probably says full- screen). Tap that and it will change to a squared screen. Then you can access the full screen in squared mode. Just hit the button on the keyboard for non Chinese (CN/EN). Good luck!
Thanks maaaan....that helped alot...btw..how to use gboard???
Where to find latest FW for this watch?
Also, is it good for running?

Tenfifteen F1 or similar MTK2503 Smartwatch firmware

Hi all,
Does anyone have the stock firmware for a Tenfifteen F1 or similar Smartwatch based on the MTK2503 SoC? Like an idiot I reflashed mine with the firmware from a Microwear L1 (which mostly works but has stopped the heart rate sensor working), without backing the original up.
Thanks!

Yoga Smart Tab

Hello,
So I got a Lenovo Smart Tab (yt-x703f) and really want to flash TWRP to it, so I can flash LineageOS rom, but it seems like there's no support for it, or even a subthread on XDA.
(I tried various twrp images)
Anyone got some experience with that tablet and have something working?
Cheers
For some reason this device gets the silent treatment on all fora. I can't figure out why, this could be a great multimedia device with some adjustments. batt life is great as is the sound. Screen is ok ish and the speed needs to be tweaked, but no one is willing to tweak
You can root the device and even flash a GSI on it. Tested myself and everything is working
Yoga Smart Tab - Iron GreyPart Number: ZA3V0005US
Not sure if we are talking about the same device but lenovo does not support their mid tier devices with OS updates and would like to install a bloatless OS also pie is really dated and wondering if i will run in to issues with app compatibility. There is also that issue where it won't run HD in netflix because netflix is a static app and can not be removed and reinstalled. Hence bloatware and would love a clean google experience.

Flashing a GSI might help if the device supports Project Treble. Basically any device launched with Android 8 and above should support Project Treble.
Hi, I have a Lenovo Yoga smart tab (YT-X705L) and I want to install a new rom on it. I’m not an IT wizard so I need help with that. Would you find anyone who can give step-by-step instructions from start to finish with download links.
And if you can find experiences on how anything works (which is GSI). Thanks in advance.

[WIP][DEV][GNU/Linux] PostmarketOS development thread for Ticwatch Pro

postmarketOS is a Touch-Optimized Linux Distro for Smartphones and Tablets.

postmarketOS CAN actually in fact run on watches, as seen in this example. So I thought to myself (after failing another device's port), what would it be like to walk on the street running Linux on my watch? So it hit me, it hit me to do this.
Disclaimer
Code:
This is a WIP project, as it is not even booting.
So I am NOT responsible for any bricked watches,
or your house burnt down because of this.
Current status
The device only has one thing working, that is Flashing.
Once you try to boot it, it just kicks you back to fastboot.
Interesting observations
It responses with:
Code:
Booting FAILED (remote: 'dtb not found')
when I try to boot it, flashing works great, but booting it directly is not. So I think it is missing dts in the APKBUILD file or something.
What need help
Booting it, at least make it stuck on splash screen forever, that is still a sign that the kernel booted.
Also, I would want to see a mainline kernel for APQ8009w, msm8916-mainline, I am waiting for you.

What do you think is the easiest way to get Linux on the Tickwatch Pro, Postmarket OS?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sm...linux-android-wear-ticwatch-pro-2020-t4166623
Hi, I've been successful in booting PostmarketOS on my phone, and I'd love to take a shot at porting to this device.
One thing's holding me back - were you able to go back to Wear OS after attempting this?
Here is a Ticwatch Pro Custom Rom Tutorial [2020] how to install a custom ROM on the Ticwatch Pro:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVcu8fEJ0pU
The PineTime could not convince me. I m looking for a watch which runs Linux. Ticwatch Pro with Postmarket OS is the only candidate Linux watch I could find. I hope someone is successful in installing PostmarketOS on the Tickwatch Pro soon. There would be much more options than with a PineTime.
One problem of PostmarkedOS is how to resize the apps to fit the watch screen. Here is descibed how this is done for the PinePhone:
https://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=11552
Is there a reason you did choose PostmarkedOS? Is it not better to choose Ubuntu touch? Is Ubuntu touch not more widespead and better supported than PostmarkedOS?
PostmarkedOS also runs on the LG watch R:
https://wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/LG_G_Watch_R_(lg-lenok))
It is the first time I saw a picture of a PostmarkedOS texteditor on a smartwatch, really impressive. That's how good things start.
PostmarketOS on smartwatches is rare to find. Here a picture which even better: text editor with text typing on PostmarketOS LG G Watch R:
https://www.reddit.com/r/postmarket...os_on_a_smart_watch_its_an_invasion/?sort=old
but is PostmarkedOS on smartwatches not the future? I'm very interested in Linux smartwatches, but I need one with Bluetooth low enegy and WIFI working.
The only one I could find to fullfill these requirements is LG watch Urbane or R with Linux AsteroidOS 1.0. Since I found out that this setup should run for two days, the Linux Pinephone only runs two hours, I became a fan of this setup.
Has someone a better suggestion?
---------- Post added at 08:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:10 PM ----------
