Android experience relies heavily on Google's Play Services. The microG project creates an alternative to installing Gapps, which install and execute closed-source blobs on our phones. MicroG however requires a patch called "signature spoofing", which allows microG's apps to spoof themselves as Google Apps. LineageOS currently does not include the patch due to different opinions among the developers. (further information can be found here)
This makes microG installation difficult on LineageOS and other ROMs. Our ROM is a fork of LineageOS with just the necessary changes to have microG built-in. We ship weekly builds for all the LineageOS supported devices..

Is this the thread mentioned in the FAQ where one can request builds for other devices supported by LineageOS?
If so, I'd love to see a build for the LG G5 (aka h850), which is currently the only high-end device by a known manufacturer with a removable battery and high repairability (8/10 from Ifixit).
It's fully supported by LineageOS (https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/h850) and I'd be willing to report any possible problems and help debug it if necessary.

Microg.me is a really wonderful project , I have been using it for 3 days, but there are some things that annoy me. In particular, is it really necessary to implement it in every single build ?? I use an application with the same signature, so at each ota it is replaced by the fakestore and that's annoying . Also one ota per day is pretty excessive I think, especially for daily usage. Why not release an update at the same time as the official lineage ?

Same feature-set as LineageOS. If LOS supports substratum, we are supporting this aswell.

Unfortunately we wont remove FakeStore since our goal is to provide a Google free ROM with a fully working ecosystem which requires having FakeStore installed. Sorry for that. What you could do is to write a script for OTA survival / - or removal and put it in the /system/addon.d directory. But we're not going to support this in any way.
Otherwise we can invite you to not use Play Store, but a replacement like Yalp Store.
We like to build as often as we can. Its up to you and your free choice. If you dont want to update on a daily basis, just dont do it

There are several methods to get microg. Maybe you should start reading there https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/index-list-custom-roms-offering-t3557047
My preferred method have been nanomod patcher and shadow53's zip.

Hey there! I have an old first-gen Moto X as my main android device (ghost) and I'd love to take advantage of your awesome project! I tried to get the docker image up and running myself, but I keep getting random DNS failures in docker, which seem to get silently passed, which results in the build claiming to be successful, yet no builds show up in my "zips" folder when it completes. Only thing that I think needs changed from the default is the lineageOS branch (cm-13.0). Would it be too much trouble to add 'ghost' to your list of builds?

Instructions:
BOOT TO THE RECOVERY/TWRP
WIPE DATA, SYSTEM AND THE CACHES
FLASH A AOSP OS/ROM/FIRMWARE/KERNEL
GO TO THE REBOOT MENU AND SELECT RECOVERY
FLASH THE PATCH BEFORE BOOTING INTO THE SYSTEM
REBOOT TO THE SYSTEM NOW. THE FIRST START MAY TAKE SOME TIME
And that's it! If You don't want to flash a new ROM, just choose the Clean or Full Wipe within the Patch. But avoid to flash a new Patch over a old One. Each Version is a own Thing, not just an Update.

good to see you are back. And thanks for your Lights Patch! I'm running it on my Axon 7 (A2017 4/128), DarkRom, Magisk, for months now. It's stable, super smooth with Sot up to 5 hrs, which is great, as I'm using 2 Sim cards, BT and wifi all the time.
I can confirm that the (muted speaker) call bug is back with Light Patch 1.6. It was solved beginning with version 1.2. Toggling speaker on/off doesn't help, WhatsApp calls have muted speaker too, Skype is working ok. Strange!
Please let know, if you need some logs. I will wait and check LP 1.7 anyway.

I've read the comments on the Axon 7 AICP and Linage Threads. I told them that i can fix it without the Patch but they prefer ignorance and trolling over fixing lol The Problem will be fixed with the next Patch. Need to find the fix step by step again since i've added a lot of new Audio Stuff...
Some Clean Logs could also Help If You want to make some! Thanks for Your Feedback anways!

8.0 is supported but not sure about 8.1. I would appreciate any feedback about it!

The most of it is based on Qualcomm Tech and Ports. I'm not advanced with Mediatek but know that there are "similar" Techs available for them. I would prefer to let that others do, but i'm willed to help porting it if someone has interest on making a second Light Patch for Mediatek exclusively... What i never would support is Exyons, which is the biggest trash ever in My Eyes. Hardly closed sourced and not as much advanced as i want it to...
I'm btw. working recently on the next Patch System (V4). There will come a lot of changes, keep an eye on the Changelog if You like Spoilers :angel:

So much work left... But i'm satisfied about the new Layout and Options. Much more to choose from besides some cool new Ideas which where long enough in My Backhead since some Version. I'm also working on ROM/OS injection Support and a One Click Option which flashs the Patch like i use it without the need to fight thru the whole Setup.
The OS Injection will be a Option and runs automatically on the One Click Installer, the first Release of it needs a unpacked/repacked OS which needs to be copy and pasted into the root of the Patch (Or just a ZIP inside the Patch, dunno yet). My Scripts are doing the Rest. Planned is a Injection Method of external Zip Files for the next Releases. I need to find a Solution for that and the Handling of ROM/OS Scripts in the Patch. Complex stuff but i think this could be a big Thing at all...
Any Help with it would be much appreciated!

Hello Miu im looking your thread and cheking it often and waiting the new version i didn`t flash 1.6 because you mentioned you gona release new one and i read the changelog and i get even more excited about that. Im not So big at development patches but i have few questions and or maybe a suggestion.
In the Changelog i read about the Audio Optimization and thanks to AndroidBoy So i guess one of the echancment is pushing the SnapDragon DAC in Performance Mode? is this correct im interested in what kind of Audio Exhancment the Patch will inlude im a HTC 10 Owner now im set with Sauron.
Also what will be beneficial to ecchange the Snapdragons to the posible ever VIDEO/Image i mean the Best Posible quality watching Video, Pictures or whatever related to media this will be really beneficial for everyone.
Also before in the past years when we was still roling older Android build everyone know the tricks with build.props editing and so on in case to make something better or just to improve.
Now is a litle more different with the new Androids version and i think the things become much more advanced will be beneficial to have improvement of the SIGNAL WIFI Network if you want whatever all related things to the Chipset.
I wish if you have it already a link to read more detailed changelog for example how something is acomplishing and will have an idea whats really going on with the device applying that patch.

Guys why there is no developer here working on a treble project enable tool to our phone
Since we have a stable oreo rom and have all the libs and files in vendor to make oreo boot successfully without bugs there is a possible way to make our klte project treble i'm sure >
but i can't lonely make this project alive we need to work with our devs to make this happens
since the creation of vendor partition is not that hard thing but i'm didn't know anything about editing the kernel and the device tree to boot from new vendor partition.

treble is not only bound to partitioning , its also a kernel version as well which we not even near it , the required kernel version is 3.18 (as the bare-minimum ) and up , the S5 is stuck at 3.4.113 so no treble for the S5.

I am opening this thread to start a discussion about LineageOS and the recently announced Project Mainline to put together a Q&A list (I will summarize the interesting questions and answers in this first post).
1. In general: will Project Mainline still work when you switch from your manufacturers stock ROM to LineageOS..? Or may there some restrictions for non-official ROMs through the Play Store?
2. Will LineageOS be able to support Project Mainline for devices that support Project Mainline in their stock ROM?
3. Will LineageOS be able to support Project Mainline for older devices? Or do old Linux kernels prevent this? Are kernel refreshs for old devices even technically feasible or is it far too much effort and too buggy in most cases?
4. These are the 14 components Project Mainline is able to update via the Play Store:
• Security: Media Codecs, Media Framework Components, DNS Resolver, Conscrypt
• Privacy: Documents UI, Permission Controller, ExtServices
• Consistency: Timezone data, ANGLE (developers opt-in), Module Metadata, Networking components, Captive Portal Login, Network Permission Configuration
I assume this doesn't cover all "components" in Android, or does it? What parts are left out and why - does anybody know?
