[Q] verizon droid pro activation in uk and another few things.

Hi there
Im usually quite good with all things rooting etc but this has me stumped.
I bought a droid pro off ebay from the US and recived it all working fine - bar no cell connection. My intention was to update the radio root custom rom and done.
I downloaded boot strap to get it all installed with recovery and noticed the owner had left his gmail account on there. Being the nice guy I am I thought......factory reset to clear the account.
Did this and not the phone is stuck at the activation call to verizon.
I dont have a verizon sim is there anyway to get round this to install the bootstrap apk?
I know they have an encrypted bootloader so the usual vol down and power on wont work. can you force it to adb or fastboot to push files across?
Any help and advise appreciated as Ive never had the issue with phone activation in this way in the UK.
Many thanks
Gurry

[Q] Samasung Galaxy S4 SGH-S970G Help Plz!!!!

Ok, so first off I rooted my previous phone (a Verizon Motorola Droid X2) without any problems ever. I dropped Verizon as my carrier and switched to Straight Talk and I bought the Samsung Galaxy S4, after a few months of having it I decided to look for a way to root it. After a few days of browsing and reading about I found and root option that worked. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2565758) This saferoot worked and i had superuser and was able to do everything i wanted to.
I then went on the Google play store and installed apps that I previously had on my old device for rooted phones. Well I installed chainfire3D and opened it up and clicked install the drives (which then requires a reboot) after a sort time I noticed my phone was stuck on the loading screen and I can't get past it.
I then start looking for a unroot/unbrick option in order to restore my phone to default firmware and factory settings to get it to work again.
Now here is the dilemma...
Like it says in the title, the phone model is SGH-S970G and for the life of me I can't find this model's firmware anywhere.
plz help me asap!!!!
Thank you in advance for any useful information to help point me in the right direction or give me a solution!

If you get your phone fixed, I suggest you skip reinstalling Chainfire 3D. It specifically says it's not for Jelly Bean devices.

[Q] Cant sync with Google Play

Hi there.
Some months ago Google Play stopped working on my system (Huawei U8800).
Don't know what I did although I had rooted the device around that time - I didnt connect the dots. Im not even sure it rooted correctly. I have since found Root Checker which I must have downloaded before the crash cos I was recently able to install it on the U8800. It does tell me in Root Info that Root Access - no access. So now Im deeper in the, err, mud.
Bottom line is I cant download anything and I really need it back.
Id really appreciate some advice here. Thx

[Q] [HELP] Android RAZR M (XT907) 182.46.15 Unlock + Root

I've been looking around XDA and the rest of the internet for hours trying to get a root and unlock for my device, but everything I find is from back in September 2014 when people were ticked if they got the 182.46.15 update and couldnt root because of it.
Has anything changed?
I found a couple threads about being able to do it with TowelRoot, and I tried entering new strings (tap on "welcome to v3" 3 times to enter string) like it told me to do for my device, but I can't either figure out what string should be used or its just not possible.
Is there anybody who can help me with this? I'd appreciate it.

[GUIDE] Root access on Republic Wireless 4.4.4 Kitkat Moto X

I finally found a root method for the moto x on republic wireless running 4.4.4, I used a chinese app called Kingroot(app is in english). It works pretty well, although if it doesn't work for you, reboot. A few times for me it didn't work but rebooting fixed it.
To use it, just open it up, follow what it says and your rooted.
Note, that in order for it to root it needs WiFi or a data connection so it can get a list of root methods.
You can download Kingroot from multiple sources, I can't put in a link though because I am a new member. Just search it up.

Has anyone else tried this?
Wow cool. I can confirm it worked for me on my XT1060 on Verizon. I've got an unlocked bootloader so I really didn't need this to root but it is pretty easy and should work the same on a locked bootloader
Sent from my XT1060 using Tapatalk
It works, but you have to re-root every time you restart the phone...
Also Avast lights this thing up like a Christmas tree. I think I had to "ignore" 4 windows before rooting and 4 more after rooting.
I just used the Kingo app with similar success on my Republic Wireless Moto X running 4.4.4. Not sure which is better kingroot or kingo, but I was able to find more information seeming to back up kingo as being legitimate.
This also works on lollipop.
