P10 Lite Performance issues - Huawei P10 Lite Questions & Answers

Hey Guys
I really dont know why but my P10 Lite is really struggling with some apps.
Its lagging everywhere even though its supposed to be able to run them smothly.
For example my old broken Nexus 5 is able to run most of the apps better than my P10
Any suggestions ? Maybe there are some settings i need to change

Google cardboard on P8 lite with android 6.0?

Hi!
Does anyone know if google cardboard will work on p8 lite with marshmallow?
Because P8 lite has no gyroscope but i heard that it could be replaced by software.
Thanks.
It would be great!...

Tried this already but its a bit delayed. It's moving a bit when the phone is sitting steady. But good thing we have virtual gyro.

my signal always turning off on my p9lite?

I have the latest emui of huawei, still the bug is there a little. Compared when not updated. Do anybody experience this too?
My P8 had this issue, especially when I was linked up to WiFi. My p9 lite doesn't have this issue it seems. I must say a loss of connectivity never seemed to effect my p8. But I must say that on both phones watching a video on twitter was an issue, always pauses it seems.

Switching to a P9 lite

Hi guys,
I'm hoping to switch to a p9 lite. So need ideas from all of you; the best people i can count on who has the experience with P9 lite.
Are there any issues with the phone or is my decision good? Please help.
Thanks in advance
hardware is good...i like it, no problems here... software sucks... with emui 5.0 it will be better i hope
Your decision good! If you dont like EMUI4 replace standard launcher with nova.
But mind that P9l not has gyroscope as required.

saying that your should use Nova if you don't like emui is like saying to wear makeup to hide that you are stupid...i don't like emui because of a lot of reasons...i came from a Nexus so for me emui is killing the Android... it's not just about the looks... it has a task killer for God's sake... Android with task killer in a 2gb device... plain stupid
Your right. Nova is spoilage. But even so smart spoilage.
yeah.
. nevertheless Nova is great
Don't buy 2GB version. Just don't.

What do you mean? Is it freezing or not reaching the expectations or just the ui sucks?

For me,it works fine.
Sure, due to the fact that it has 2GB of ram, some apps which would possibly stay in the background on the 3GB of ram will be killed on 2GB. Other than that,it is working fine,I don't even multitask that much, and the phone is snappy even while the 2 cores of the first cluster are disabled(DIY 6-core setup,it saves up the battery life a bit)

P9 Lite, the J7 is trash at screen resolution and CPU performance. And it probably won't have custom ROMs in the future, while the P9 Lite already has "usable"-ish CM13.
And even the stock ROM is snappy.

Unfortunately no otg USB support... And I don't know how to fix it.. Otherwise this phone has everything and good though

Enable Camera2 API? (791 Blade Spark)

I picked up a blade spark for my daughter, and I'm quite impressed with it for the price aside from the camera. I've been spoiled by the Google HDR+ app and how much it improved the camera experience on my Moto G5 Plus, so I've been curious about getting it to work on this hardware as well.
I think I just need to enable the Camera2 API, which is not currently present in the stock OS. I believe that much like the Axon 7, this thing can probably be enabled via editing the Build.prop to have the HAL3=enabled line added (I had to do this on the Moto as well). But since there is no root method available for this device, editing the build.prop isn't so simple.
Has anyone tried editing build.prop by using ADB commands? I've seen this done on non-rooted phones before, but I don't have enough experience with this to know if I'm missing something integral here or not. Would this work? Has anyone tried it or anything similar?
My daughter would be pretty upset if I bricked her phone a couple of days after getting it so I want to ask before I jump in.
