I have an unlocked sprint lg g6 that I'm using outside US. I can connect to mobile data and I'm able of browse and check the email but never shows any icon (E, H, 3G,...) indicating that is connected. Any ideas how can I solve this? Is really anoying. Thanks.

Just got my Xperia Play, and it's not rooted or anything (don't plan on it yet)
and my phone shows an icon all the time that when the status bar is pulled down, it says "data traffic is disabled" and it only goes when my 3G data is on, even when I'm on wi-fi already!
Anything I'm doing wrong?

Its normal. Its just a indication of your service provider data 2g or 3g. When u turn your operator data on, it will be gone. Nothing to do with wifi

Hi My problem is whenever i enable data it does not show "E" on the notification bar as it Use to show before I could only see GSM inside a small circle when ever i activate net there is no "E" at all. All the problems started when I updated the cell via OTA update initially when I got the cell it was ZV7, now after the update its ZVA and not able to Use net since then. Please find the attached screen shot about the GSM showing up when i enable data. And my net doesn't work at all even after enabling data all i see is the GSM written in notification.

I have LG G2 D802, mobile internet works nice but it only show H or E icon when mobile internet is turn on, it newer show 3G or LTE icon.
Try to change locations finding better signal but it is still the same.
Also i was been in LTE area and it won't connect to that type of network.
Do i have to set new firmware on device or something else?

I need help for my lg v20. So the issue is i m not able to select 3g or 4g for my network basically when i go to mobile networks there is no option to change from 4g to 3g. Another major issue is that my mobile data is not starting as the mobile data toggle has an message saying connection not allowed.
Any help will be appreciated

Anybody found out a way to remove or hide the cell phone carrier name from status / notification bar?
I do not see any setting anywhere in settings. I have a carrier unlocked AT&T LG G6 (H871) on Cricket. Having carrier name (Cricket) on the status bar is annoying and is not adding any utility really.
you can flash the US997 kdz thru LGUP. I'm running the latest version and I have no carrier info in status bar. downside is stock LG firmware also has pretty lame network icon next to the signal bars. can't tell if I'm connected to LTE or regular 4G. Doesn't really matter because t-mobile is really LTE in most areas
