VoLTE for Xperia Z & Xperia X series.

Hi Guys,
After many days of search and trials I have managed to enable VoLTE in Xperia Z2 & Z3 in Android 6.0.1.
But this Method should work on Newer Z & X series models(till 2018).
Only For Xperia Z & X series
Your carrier must support VoLTE service and it should not be locked to certain devices by your carrier.
This method Only works on stock roms.
Tested and working !
Operator- Idea, Reliance Jio [India]

Try at your own risk.
Always make a backup of system and data before doing this in case anything goes wrong
Follow these steps,
1. Root Access and Recovery are mandatory.
2. Download & flash VoLTE .zip via recovery(only for Xperia Z2 & Z3).
3. Find this line in /system/build.prop [ro.build.type=user] & change it to [ro.build.type=userdebug] then restart phone.
4. Then u have to find the modem switcher.
its in system/priv-app and its called CustomizationSelector.apk
> download Quick shortcut maker from play store
> open Quick shortcut maker to make a shortcut using the app then go to customisation Selector \ modem switcher
> open Customization Selector app and select modem according to your network operator.
> if u dont find your operator just select volte_base_operator_trials_tar.
> try other ims modems if any of these wont work.
> if it wont work even after then try another stock Android rom from xperifirm flashtool.
5.. After selecting modem, phone will restart and you are good to go.

Try to do all steps in correct way.
Carrier must support VoLTE or else it wont work.

Did u change overlay apps and set app permission to rwrr ??
Did u add line lines in build.prop ?
Try to switch another modem and then again switch to VoLTE modem. It works.

Now agin switch back to VoLTE based trial modem.
If it wont work then your carrier doesnt support VoLTE..

VoLTE is a Carrier dependent service. if ur carrier not supports u wont get anything other than the toggle in settings
VoLTE is one of the coolest services comes with 4G
im waiting with the toggle until my carrier launch the service Lol

I did all, and started launching the customization settings app but it opens and close right after and can enter to the modem settings somehow

Yes, tried all, but app opens, screens is blue for milliseconds but then it close without any forceclose pop up or else, just open and right after close

It seems not to work for me too. All settings are made exactly like in the description. Modem selected and use volte option is enabled in settings too. Carrier is Telekom_de which supports volte also volte option is enabled in contract.

Your carrier locked VoLTE to certain xperia model.
Cant help with that.
In your case VoLTE access is restricted from network side.
Remaining settings are correct by these method

If in your contact VoLTE enabled then do these steps again
1. Select any other modem
2. then again select VoLTE base trial modem.

Lenovo K4 note volte in s219 build

Hey everyone. After rooting s219, by changing some lines in build prop we can see volte feature in network settings.
But no volte symbol in status bar
Paste these lines in build prop. I can't see volte symbol may be due Vodafone. Those who has jio please let me know if it works in s219 with root.

So by adding these line you don't have volte enable option in network setting. ? or it just changes from 4g to H+ when calling?
I have attached 3 more files which are extracted from s208 ota, add them in system/bin/ and give permissions like rwxr-xr-x with ex file explorer. these files were missing in s219 update. i am not sure about the permissions. sad part is that i am not getting jio sim for testing. that's why i need your helps.

With default dailer calls are not going. Calls ends automatically.

Oh, not had this problem, probably add those files and see if you can make calls and restart phone. because i thought only editing build prop will enable volte. seems those files also needed.
I added them along with changing build prop lines. and i was able to make call too.

And you are making volte calls with Vodafone?

No, Vodafone doesn't support volte at the moment in India seems. I called customer care. Don't know that guy knows about volte or not.. So I am not sure whether it's working or not. I can make Normal calls.

can you try this apn settings once?

Volte feature in k4 note does not have to do anything in system partition. Its relevent files and settings are somewhere in data or some other partition.
I am saying this because I am using s208 build which supports volte but if I wipe data and internal storage, volte stops working. So, it has to do something with partition other than system.

After rooting Row S219? Is there a root for S219 i tried the guides in rooting my s219 k4 note I end up with bootloop.

Follow this link. One of best guide. Easily understandable. Let me know if it helps. First flash s219 build properly with sp tools before beginning the rooting procedure.

this guide is to enable call recording on non-chinees version for Mate 9 MHA-L29
first you need to be rooted I used this toutrial to root with SuperSU

first take a copy from HwCallRecorder folder and paste it to following directions
(if you didn't find any below directions make them)
/data/dataapp
/system/app
/hw_init/cust/hw/**Your region code**/app/
For me it's like this
/hw_init/cust/hw/meafnaf/app/
then go to /system/build.prop and add these lines to the end of the file
ro.config.hw_voicerecord=true
ro.config.callrecord.enabled=1
then go to this folder cust-hw-region-xml and copy all files to this direction
/cust/hw/**your region**/xml
then go to this folder hw_oem-xml and copy all files to this direction
/hw_oem/xml
apply merge replace if it asks
then make a reboot
now test it if it work (maybe it will give you an error, if so make a reset from settings and DO NOT check Erase internal storage)
I will upload a video as a prove it's working

MHA-AL00 has Call Recording out-of-box.

How to make this run automatically? I remember in b190 it has this function but now I come to b198 and there is no call recorder in my phone setting anymore.

Universal VoLTE Patch

can be instaled on MM and N roms
Xiaomi Red Mi2 and Moto G has the same harware(allmost)
How the OP of the thread say, that's patch's will work only on modems wich suport VoLTE
i tested them but my modem dont support VoLTE
so anyone else is free to test it
Make first a backup of your working rom before install the PATCH
in case of some problems you will be abble to restore the phone

Actually I tried it also and the phone started fc and network fluctuating with no sim card.

This is a volte patch for redmi note 3 .. Different chipset but the process matters. For testing volte related things one need to have Indian modem. Firmware can be different I guess.

This is about Moto g3 2015... Samne specs as j5. If we could get a working rom with option of using enhanced voice call feature we can flash the modem to see if it works.
We need to change sone vale in framework res.apk.

Moto g3 2015 miui 8 roms ported and they support volte. There are many custom roma in their forum which support volte . Maybe you can take a look at their miui 8 to fix remaining bugs and add volte!!?

download the patch, opend or extract it and search the simmilar files in simmilar location how you see in "patch/system/....."

I tried copy of file is not possible
In stock, csc file containing all volte files but in Nouget Roms there is no csc folder.
Even though I have created the folder & give permission but it doesn't work.

No need of csc files..i told ims file and volte naming files from that two directory only.i know about csc files i have used to fix volte for a5ux rom and as well as perforlite.but here no need of that...currently i dnt hv my j5.so,i cant test for fix.

Aosp implementation of volte is different from Samsung's TouchWiz. Just like in the aosp we have bootimage.zip for bootlogo in samsung we have a completey different extension. So i don't think it would work as those files will not be present. If they are well and good.:laugh:

Yeah i knw that.but i have seen with volte support for n roms like aosp with only that files and as well as boot.img should need to be one volte file under ramdisk name as volte.rc .if they add this file along with ims as i told volte ll be enable.

That is Yu's phone has all those files at the same location. So if we add all these filea along with the xml ones. And change bool.xml in framework res.apk by changing volte's value to true, we get a working volte!! I can't do it now as I fried my pc(I think, not turning on) and I have to study

Yess..this is correct implementation.i have sold my j5 and shifted to s8.i cant do that cz i dnt hv any j5 roms and all in my pc,i have deleted all j5 data. but i will help if anyone interested.

i cant find any working custom recovery for my M8 8.0 everyone i install have problem with encryption i try every method but no luck
and magisk i patched my ramdisk.img but after i flash it phone wont boot i used my stock ramdisk

i've got a TWRP mod from a local forum, works perfectly on my AL10. u can change the language to english by using the settings button on the upper right corner
decryption should be in the advanced sector, i think it would format ur phone

one of the sim slots is dead, i think it's a bug with the openkirin ROM
nothing wrong with magisk, i'm even using Edxposed modules with few problem

try using magisk hide to hide magisk and flash the magiskhide props config module
i'm not clear about this, google is restricted here so i dozed the framework all the time
