Well, if it is a virus you should try to the bottom of this thing and uninstall it asap.

Would it be at all possible to remove or uninstall all or some of the stock applications which are completely useless to me?

No, without a root you won't be able to uninstall stock programs!

Root is not the answer. Certain apps cannot be removed root or no root.

List of safe system apps to remove

Does anyone have an list over safe system applications to remove? Thank you. I have searched around the internet, but I wanted a nexus 4 specific list. I am currently using CyanogenMod.

If you modify/remove a system app, updates will fail during the install process.

Security app causes force close for settings

So guys, basically my problem is that when I try to enter into the security app in settings it causes the whole settings app to force close. Im rooted with the towelroot method and deleted some apps like Google music, newspapers etc. Could the deleting of some of this apps couldve caused the problem? Thanks for your help and time

If it doesn't work, you have to go back to an older version of lbe. I'm with 5.4.7928.

I'm with 5.4.8044. Tried to freeze the process, had partial success, it worked after a restart till I switched again my WiFi on -> settings FCs again.

Disable updates in settings.
Why not just install the update as it's already downloaded?
Flashfire will automatically find it and install it with root.

I deleted fota agent before i stopped automatic updates, so i can't access software update section anymore, where are update files stored so i can delete them, if you know?
edit: i found fota folder where downloaded ota update file was stored and deleted it

Can I root my phone with this?

Claims to be a root version of my a20 version (s205dl).
i can't really root because i have no oem unlock in developer options.
i would appreciate it if someone checked it out.
