[Solved] Lag issues in 8.1.0 custome roms. - Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus Guides, News, & Discussion

So i have used aicp, pixel exp and RR as well as of now. Animation lag is a common problem for my device. So if any of you guys experience any lag issues in the rom even after restarting the device several times ,then follow this--
1. Turn the Live Display off.
2. Go to recovery and wipe dalvik.
3. Reboot.
Lag will surely be fixed. I have it fixed on my phone.

Thanks man will surely try this and get back to you

It could be a hardware issue, a faulty device.Have you tried a full factory reset, return to stock and see if the issue still persists:

[Q] CM 11 - Performance tab question/help

Hello xda.
I installed Cyanogenmod on my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 today with no problems at all, however I've found something that seems a bit weird. (I know there is supposed to be bugs in nightlies, of course, but I thought i'd ask anyway.)
In the performance settings of the tab, it keeps the minimum CPU frequency to 1190mhz. If I put it to 300mhz, it will work, but as soon as I exit out of the performance tab, it goes back to 1190mhz. I figured that my phone was quite hot when I didn't use it, and that's how I found out.
Have anyone seen this on the latest CM11 nightly for the Note 3? I hope somebody out there know how I can fix it.
Many thanks.

Thanks a lot for your reply.
I've heard a little about kernels. The thing is, that this is the first time I've ever put a custom rom on an android device, so I'm not really 100% familiar with all this yet, however if the custom kernel won't be able to brick my phone, I sure would give that a try.
Should I go with the "stable" version or the beta version of the kernel?

Thank you a lot
I'm taking the beta version then!
- So... I just tried to flash it with Odin, but as it is a .zip file and not .tar, I can't do that.
I do have TWRP on my device, so I can use that, I am not very sure on how to do that though?
I'm sorry for the noobish questions. First time I installed a custom rom

I installed the kernel and everything looks fine, however the performance tab is still acting weird. I think I will install a CPU app.
So this is it? There is no new settings I need to check or anything?

Yes because when custom roms started all of them were 100% stable right?!
Please don't debbie down the guy. I was actually hoping that MIUI would come to the Note 4, and so are others. It may currently on be 70% stable but it can be worked on to make it as close to 100% stable as possible. It's better than nothing.
I have to say aside from data connectivity issues the rom ran quite amazing when infested it a few days ago. Here and there things were in Chimeese or Japanese, which ever the ROM is in, but aside from that I actually had no FCs. Wifif was great. I did have data at one point yet in for get exactly how I had got it to run 3g. I tend to experiment with ROMs and flash odd ball fixes not quite developed for certain ROMs or devices. I did flash something and data worked yet in was having various FCs so it was unusable as a daily. I'll have to revisit and see where I can take it and report.

Might be your unit have some fault in it. You can go to service center if you are under warranty. If you don't care about warranty you may install TWRP recovery in your phone and flash CM 12 by Nick Verse. CM 12 is the best Rom for J5. No lags at all. But you will Void your warranty if you install TWRP and CM 12. So do it on your own risk. Hope it will help you. Best of luck.

I will try that maybe tomorrow and tell tou the results
Another thing i noticed is that sluggish scrolling accures when the page is heavy with pics and material if it is only text page there are no lags or whatever what might be causing that
I didnt try to instal the cm12 but another thing i tried was to do a factory reset and install a fresh stock os and remove the scree protection but none of that seemed to help so i dont think that the cm12 will help but i will try none the less

Solved. Animation lag issues in 8.1 roms

I have it fixed on my own g4 plus.
