I find (this being my first oled) that it should be able to go darker. Maybe it would mess with pixel response times but nonetheless my opinion.

You can always use a Screen Filter app that will allow you to go as dim as you want.

I found it quite a bit brighter than my s5 I've had before this one stays relativly bright.

I haven't noticed any problem. It may be slightly brighter than Nexus 6P was at darkest setting, but that display is always dim and totally worthless in bright sun.
For att total darkness I would still prefer to combine with some kind of blue filter, like Twillight

Still somewhat bright at minimum brightness when you're in a pitch black room (of course the black parts are entirely dark).
Slap a screen filter app onto it and push it much, much lower without problems.

Dimming is really satisfying, even has a night mode and invert colors by default.

I am not satisfied with the dimming. Its extremely bright inspite being at lowest level ?? i wish it could have better display brightness levels. My old redmi note 5 pro gets way dimmer and was comfortable to use in a dark room. This phone sucks and hurt the eyes ??

This device can basically go extremely extremely dark when on the lowest brightness, to the point where it's even difficult to see indoors with the lights on.
Yes, coming from a Samsung phone.. I'm having issue finding the correct dimmed color temperature for night reading. It's actually hurting and straining my eyes. Any setting I should be aware of? I have turned on eye comfort mode to the warmest.

I personally do not like the brightness level on the Galaxy S6. I typically use a third-party app (Night Mode) to get the brightness to be lower. The stock brightness doesn't do it for me.
Wrong thread sorry
