I am on Oreo stable 8.0.0.322 but the rom is very buggy and a battery hog.
I would like to revert to Nougat. Would this method work for me as well?
Also, why do I need to flash recovery, wouldn't the existing recovery work?

Sorry, the link I had for Indian version is no longer active, try firmware finder or ask someone on hihonor forum [every region has different firmware, don't flash the rom of other region]. Btw, I got rid of the phone, you should too.

@ValKyre i'm already downloaded latest firmware, but should i'm proceed to unroot my phone first to apply update? Is it safe to update directly to version 6 without downgrade/reflash it first to version 5?

No, u needn't unroot....
In my way use recovery for update to android 6.0
U needn't reflash to 5.0.....
Only coppy firmware to sd card and flash via recovery
(Remember just wait it to finish.... dont shutdown or do anything)

@ValKyre don't teach anything that you actually didn't know.
1. reflash latest LL stock firmware (to unroot)
2. boot once (until you can see the lockscreen)
3. flash MM firmware
4. boot once (until you can see the lockscreen)
5. (if needed) follow the root guide to get root back.
note: flash firmware in stcok recovery, install root in twrp.

that's why you don't know.
if he use OTA to upgrade the rooted device, device can't pass the file system check.
but if you use the the firmware that download from ASUS support site, he can directly upgrade to 6.0.
in the end, @tarzq28 seems to get something wrong.
for safety, recommend he restore the device file system is a good choice.
or, you do have responsibility for his device?

Fastboot file for kenzo?
hi,
I have an unlocked (bootloader) RN3 running MIUI 7.5.3.
Can i download the OTA update you mentioned in the link and update my RN3 to MIUI 8 8.0.1.0 using the build it updater application ?
Will it wipe all my data ?
Thanks
@farhantahir
Hi,
I have few questions please answer.
I am on global stable 7.5.3 with office unlocked bootloader and twrp installed. The phone is rooted and xposed installed as well.
1) should I update full recovery rom via twrp? with wiping all data?
2) does this rom re-lock the bootloader? if yes, can i again unlock it via mi unlock tool easily?
3) after flashing full rom do i also need to flash universal patch.img or lazy flasher to avoid bootloop?
4) superSU and xposed will work?
5) is the VOLTE support there in this rom?
thanks for your support
thanks
Thanks a lot bro.

1-Ya u can flash full recovery rom via cofface twrp.
2- No bootloader is not locked again.
3-No need to flash patched boot.img if u use cofface.
4- Root and xposed will be disabled but flashing zips again restores modules to same state.
5- its official rom so i guess there will be volte support.

First you need to downgrade. You can do this by flashing this (http://consumer.huawei.com/nz/support/products/downloads/detail/huawei-p8lite-nz.htm?id=81666) file via sdcard. Then download this (https://goo.gl/zUPd1A) file. It has two folder. dload and dload2. First put dload folder in sdcard and upgrade. Then put second folder "dload2" rename it to dload and upgrade.
After this you may upgrade to B574.

Sorry, but the links you send me here was for a Rollback to Android 5.0 ?!?!?
I have Android 6.0 !!
And the second link goes to a pfd toolkit download, no dload
OK, i understand. It was an Rollback to Version 5 and after this i can upgrade to Version 6. Right? Now i had B170 installed, and then? There were only one dload folder in ervery downlod , correct? Also i have no "vendor package UPDATE.APP" which i can use.
But where get i the B574 für Marshmallow Upgrade?

Is your balong bug problem solved? Or it appeared again after updating to B574?
Do you have this option?

Yes. You can convert single sim into dual sim. I personally don't know the method. But I know there is a thread this.
Thanks, first i hope that i downgrade correctly, and after that i'll update with the versions we talk about. If there i get a DUAL-SIM phone it will be fine. But a SINGLE-SIM were also right. I'll be happy if i got a fine Build Version and can update in future.
Was it needed to workreset after every update ?
Also i doesn't know should i use the update.zip files into the dload folder or should i extract it before.
Hi, i'm be happy to 50% behause my build-version was now ALE-L21C900B500 and i can use the Dual-Sim-Button, yeahh i've now Dual-SIM. Tho phone works correctly and the security-version was "Mai 2016" and Android 6.0 .
Yesterday i try to update to B564-update-OTA version, but it doesn't work, it break shortly after the EMUI-Update-process. Must i update First on an other Version?
Was it strictly to use the update.zip file into the dload folder or only the update.app from the extracted zip-file ? At second step do i need a vendor file?
I also not know use the huawei extractor or an winzip tool?
Is there a way to come to B574 ?
Best regards
Chris

If balong bug reappear after flashing b170 don't worry it's normal. After flashing vendor file it will fix permanently.
