rooting and then upgrading Android version - Lenovo K5 Note Questions & Answers

Hi guys, this is regarding the lenovo k5 note.
It is currently running on mm. As most of you know that it is nearly impossible to root it in mm but possible in lollopop. I just want to know if I downgrade it to lollipop, then root it, and then upgrade it back to mm, will i retain the root access finally? Or in other words, what effect does upgrading Android version has on the root access?

Request
Any information on above question please??

I not sure if this has been posted before. I just wanted to know if there is a method to root this phone now or is there anyway I can downgrade to 4.4.2 and root the phone. I am currently stuck with the stock rom and I would like to root my phone and make the performance better and battery better.
No to each of your questions - no root on 4.4.4 and no downgrade.

how to unlock the bootloader and then root an ASUS_T00P running lollipopWW_12.4.5.58?

Hi, is this even possible on an ASUS_T00P running Lollipop WW_12.4.5.58 ? I've seen threads where you need to downgrade it to Kitkat first before you can unload the bootloader and then root it. Was wondering if it was possible doing it straight from Lollipop. All the other threads which say you can do this seem to mention a different version of firmware on the phone. Thanks.

Sprint S7 on Nougat "QAA". Can I downgrade for Xposed?

I'd really like Xposed, which means downgrading to Marshmallow. I just purchased the device and unfortunately it was Android 7.0 out of the box.
So can I downgrade to Marshmallow safely? Looks like I'd need to downgrade to "PE1".
What if I can't get to MM? What's the preferred route for root on Nougat? The "U" firmware?
Thanks all!

You'd need to downgrade to PL6 via Odin.
Root on marshmallow is a little unstable and I'm not sure it is worth the downgrade. What do you need root/ xposed for? Some modules put the phone in a boot loop because of the root method we have.

What root method are you using? I've been running a rooted MM s7 for about 8 months with very few issues (with occasional flashing of other firmwares in an attempt to root them). It's rock solid, and very few modules are incompatible, and that's due to the nature of our rom, not our root method. (Android N-Ify builds past v 0.2.0 for example).
