I noticed that most of Mi Max 2 users here dont seem to be aware of the complete list of stock & custom roms available to our beloved Mi Max 2 (Oxygen), so I thought I would provide a list here and raise awareness

Many users will think that this thread is useless.
But let them know that when the custom ROMs starts development then all of them will try to find index from here only.

i for one had no idea about globe rom and xiaomi.eu, for example, until i did some research about miui custom roms. just so happens that not every custom rom available for the mi max 2 has its own thread here on xda!
btw, there is another miui based custom rom called epic rom:
http://www.epicrom.pro/
however, its not available (yet?) for the mi max 2, but a range of other xiaomi devices. maybe a dev would be interested to port it, based on a similarly specced xiaomi phone

As for reverting to MIUI stock rom, I can recommend the Xiaomi Tool: https://xiaomitool.com/
Otherwise, just make a complete TWRP backup of your current rom! Then, if you want to revert back to it, just restore within TWRP and youre good to go

yep, i saw that the second link is the whole archive. however, i found a direct link on the website of MultiRom that leads to the rom section specifically for Mi Max 2, so i thought that was probably easier to link to

Antoine running miui? Switched from slimroms to latest xiaomi.eu yesterday. So far so good. Even if I was satisfied with slimroms (best custom ROM for me). Can feel that miui is better optimized for our device (better battery, camera etc)

[Santoni] Flashable Vulkan API
This is a flashable zip with Vulkan API files for Redmi 4x custom roms which don't have it originally, ported from latest Mi A1 rom and tested/working on Xperience 12 (Oreo) rom. I tried to flash other zips, but they kept on giving me bootloops, so I made this one. Alright, we all know there are many ROMs for Titan, but only a few are actively developed and supported. I'm now asking you guys for help to make a list of roms ACTIVELY DEVELOPED (no need to be officials), in other words, ROMs that you can download now, that have regular builds and will have updates in a predictable future. I know there's a current list of ROMs for Titan, but many of them had their last build 2 years ago. Click to collapse Never got mokee to work properly here, and it starts opening Chinese webpages from nothing. But it's maintained, so, I'll add it to the list. The unnoficial cm builds are rarely updated, so I won't consider them here.
We still have AEX. The dev won't build because it's still alpha/beta stage. Once it's stable we'll have that. ViperOS is still there. The dev of cosmicOS tried building one for Titan but it didn't workout. But he's still in the game. But I think we can sure only after all the ROM moves from beta to stable stage.

Click to collapse We hope so... As soon as there are regular builds again I'll add AEX, Viper and Cosmic to the list. Last builds are 3 months old! At least they could have updated security patches! Edit: Since Luk7337 became a machine of ROM delivering, I added LOS 15.1 to the list. A Build almost every day. Damn, the guy is working hard! Edit 2: I've just discovered that Lineage OS has moved to AOSP/CAF in February' 17... Adjusted OP.
Xperience is being developed again, Oreo builds coming this year, so I'm adding it to the list. Nice ROM, BTW, substratum support and some LineageOs toppings on a CAF based ROM.
Edit: DotOs has no mantainer anymore (dev sold his Titan), so, it's out of the list. Feel free to comment and add more stuff!

Click to collapse If you think that way then every ROM is based on AOSP. Lineage builds using AOSP base and other ROM like RR or AOKP takes the lineage source and builds on that. So their source is lineage.

So their source is lineage. Click to expand... Click to collapse Right, AOSP is the common ancestor. But if you based you ROM on Lineage, it's based on Lineage (second-degree-linked to AOSP). CAF is based on AOSP, but with specific optimizations for Qualcomm chipsets. Lineage uses it on evey Qualcomm based device, so it runs optimally on them. Pretty neat, actually, perhaps that's why I always end up going back to Lineage... LOL
Lineage never turned well on my titan, which made me give it up. But in fact the titan is staying out. Seriously weighing in to exchange my titan for a falcom and continue to experience a good range of roms.

It would be interesting to count the ROMs that are really dead for titan, so the focus would be on projects in progress. Many get stuck in a particular ROM and waiting for an update that will not happen.

DotOS without maintainer? there it was the only rom that runs 100% smooth on my device. Returning the stock until the oreo builds are stable.

It is not possible to make oxygen os stable for any device other than oneplus because oxygen os is closed source and no one wants a sh***ty ROM which is full of bugs. So just don't ask..
