You can flash any ftf firmware with flashtool. The bootloader does not get unlocked if you flash a firmware.

Thanks for your upload..I doanloaded the 3 parts and put them into the firmeware folder and I went flashingmode but the flashmode seems not to see them...so is it normal to have 3 parts? Sorry to ask..this is my first Sony and I find it quite hard to root the phone...I have a TELEKOM_DE branded phone but simfree, please let me know if I can install your tft and how?
I uploaded a screenshot as well.
You need to unpack the three parts with 7zip, the output will be a single ftf file which should go to the firmware folder.
I had to split it into 3 parts due to upload restrictions (max 500MB per file)
BTW: flashing this rom will not root your phone.

I've got Clockworkmod stuck on my phone from the seller I bought it from and didn't tell me. If I flash one these ROMs, will it kill Clockwork and put the stock Sony recovery tool back (which is the goal)?

What files to use?
Hi, just picking up on this - I also want to root my Xperia Z1c wihtout unlocking BL. DE Firmware would be optimal, so I found this message but I am wondering which files to use in steps 9 and 12 instead of the ones described in the guide.
For starters, I currently am at Model D5503, Build 14.3.A.0.757 stock, unrooted, locked BL.

If your on CM you will have to flash 4.4.2 firmware through flashtool
Then root it and install NUT's Dual recovery.
Then once rooted you can restore your TA back up (will restore DRM key and lock boot loader).
Then if you want rooted lollipop install the pre-rooted lollipop zip through recovery OR if you don,t want root use flash tool to flash the lollipop FTF

Ftf with TA partition

Hi! I want to restore DRM function on my xperia z1 (6903), but don't find a link to download FULL complete 14.3.A.0.757 ftf with TA partition. I tried many roms, but dont have TA partition. Link
Xperia z1 C6903, rooted, XZDR, UB.
You cant restore DRM functions on your phone if you haven't backed them up .
Trying to restore another TA partition will brick your phone

Any helpful tutorial for the dump files? Is it a normal flashtool process or should there be something specific to do?
Thanks

The dumpfiles are for mod developers to use. If you want to flash them, you'll need to add updater scripts and flash it via TWRP.
I recommend you just update via Sony's PC Companion if you're really unsure
The firmware has been checked for its file integrity and correct firmware number. There shouldn't be any problem on my end. If there any other issues you find, feel free to update me here.

Yes of course it is compatible !!
this firmware is particularly for your Z5 model E6683, and which version of Android you are currently running has nothing to do with FTF flashing.
DSDS stands for dual sim dual standby , its a variant marker used by Sony.
Just download the flashtool (google it) and flash the FTF first then the kernel .
before that keep backup of your staffs .

for that please do some googling in general ...........
