"Stuff like that"? No, there is no one-click root for 4.3 yet. If you can unlock your bootloader, there's a dev thread on how to root 4.3.

Towelroot works for Z2

Just confirm Geohot's towelroot works on Z2 Android version 4.4.2.
Here is how
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2784900
However, you can't install supersu directly from play store, You need to download supersu apk from http://download.chainfire.eu/396/SuperSU/

You have to search a bit before opening new thread.
We all know that easy root, towel and community...
You can easily run easy root and root it via towel root.
No need for any special steps.
That info you said, that you can't use supersu from market is old news...
Supersu id updated to 2.0 and it's working without any problems directly from market...

So you mean, from now on installing SuperSU manually by downloading it on http://download.chainfire.eu/396/SuperSU/ and just going on Google Play and installing SuperSU from there are the same thing? I remember there was some issues between these two methods.
And another question; going on towelroot.com and installing tr.apk manually has the same effect with using Easy Root Tool?
Thank you.

Yes and yes...
Supersu wasn't updated that was all...
Nothing major, there's v2.0 now (or even higher) and it's working...
Easy root have a script that downloads same file (towelroot) from same source so yes, it's absolutely the same...

Hello,
So to clarify a little bit this method.
You have to install the SuperSu from Google Play Market and that's it, you can have ROOT on your Xperia Z2?
And if I don't want anymore to have ROOT on my Z2, simply remove the apk and you are without ROOT?
Thank you in advance!
Problem with Super SU
Hi everybody,
I did the following:
Downloaded tr.apk from towelroot.com
Installed and started it
Got "you got root" message
Went to Play-store and installed SuperSU
Started it and got error-message: "Could not install SU-file"
Updated with apk from chainfire
Stated SuperSU again and still got the error again
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance
Georg

Yesterday zxz0O0 uploaded a new version Easyrootool V8, but after that Geohot changed the tr.apk. Now the easyrootool is not working ...
Seems zxz0O0 is on holiday ...
:crying:
Got the new Z2.
Have rooted my phone with tr. And it's really good that rooting Z2 under 4.4.2 is so easy.
Thanks developers for the TR.

I rooted my phone yesterday and I belivered I dl the newest version of supersu but It failed to update the binary.

I just rooted my z2 similar to how you describe using easyroot v8 however as you said because tr was updated it no longer worked, couldnt recognise it.
i found this link in another thread http://www.mediafire.com/download/hath2562jyxipo3/tr.apk. once downloaded, put this tr apk in the files directory of the extracted easyroot, click on the install.bat file, follow the prompts etc and you'll fine it will work (well it did for me), then of course install supersu etc

No, you have to unlock the bootloader. I wouldn't touch kingroot for money.
