Happy Downgrading !

do you have 41.2.A.7.76 for xzs dual?

It is not possible for me to use the single SIM version because Flashtool does not detect it. I have tried changing its name to .ftf because it comes as a .rar . It did not help. Extracting it doesn't help because there are so many files and I do not know if everything ends up right if I try to make it a .ftf through flashtool. I do not dare trying it.
Is there anything to do to get it to work?

I can get the Customized DE firmware for the E6653, which is generic, but I can't upload the file, it's too large (2GB+)
No clue how to use a mac so can't help there.
You got somewhere for me to upload the ftf file if I create it?
Have you considered running Windows in a VM on your Mac? This is how I use XperiFirm... Parallels Desktop works great.

I believe it's strictly down to some regional apps, not carrier based but locale based.
Here's a link to XPERIA Z5 E6653, 32.0.A.5.12 firmware for anyone still searching.

Tutorial for flashing here: http://xperiafirmware.com/8-firmware/123-sony-xperia-z5-e6653
It stalled for about 5 minutes on "system.sin" but it eventually finished. Be patient and don't panic while flashing!

Just to be sure, flashing a generic rom on a carrier one don't wipe the DRM keys ?

Just a word on etiquette: the thread you're replying to has nothing to do with your problem. You should make your own thread in this case.
I believe I used the Sony drivers to make flashtool work.

Hello, .209 does not support fingerprint scanner.
And about the drivers, they are located inside the flashtool folder.
Eh. Anyone have the EU generic ones?. The links are broken

[FIRMWARE REQUEST] E5823 Customized UK 32.0.A.6.200 FTF

Now my warranty has expired I'd like to root my Z5 compact using the guide here to make a TA partition backup.
First I need to downgrade. Does anyone have a link to the Customized UK 32.0.A.6.200 firmware?
I believe the full file should be: E5823_Customized UK_1298-5497_32.0.A.6.200_R11B.ftf, but I can't find it anywhere!
You should be able to use a different 32.0.A.6.200 Customized rom. 'Customized NL' is at .200, for example.
If this is the case I'll go ahead with that one. I just want to be careful. Thanks!

Upgrade stock 34.3.A.0.252 to Oreo or downgrade it to root

Hi guys,
I just received my xperia X compact and i would like to root it, I saw one thread explaining how to root it from Oreo (https://forum.xda-developers.com/x-compact/how-to/stock-8-0-root-recovery-t3747479) but unfortunately my phone CDA is 1305-2001 (Generic LAM) and the Oreo upgrade is not available i'm stuck in 34.3.A.0.252 (checked on XperiFirm and software upgrade)
What's the best way to root my phone ?
I was wondering if i can directly flash the Oreo firmware (https://forum.xda-developers.com/x-compact/how-to/android-8-0-0-oreo-released-xperia-x-t3745129) then root it ? Would it work ? (I don't have TA backup)
Or maybe use this guide (https://forum.xda-developers.com/x-compact/how-to/guide-root-custom-kernel-clean-rom-ta-x-t3583183) to downgrade my phone (again shall i just flash an old firmware from stock ?) and made a TA backup ?
Thanks a lot !

you can pretty much take your pick. If it was me, I would flash an ftf from Flashtool of latest version, (even if not the region you want), then root with rootkernel method. Having a different region fw shouldn't affect anything.

Unlocking - xperia xa1 - rebrand

XA1 - REBRANDING
Some xperia devices have problem becuase bootloader unlock = no ...
Some xperia is possible to unlock after rebrand !!
How to rebrand device :
If we have xperia xa1 we can change rom to other - dedicated for other region !!
How to do that :
1.Download rom for G3112 (must be CIS) (you can have other variant of your xperia , G3123 etc.)
2.After build rom via flashtool find folder with ftf file
3.Go to meta inf
4.Edit manifest file
5.Change variant to your wariant (Rom have G3112 , if you have G3123 change to G3123)
6.save and close 7zip after save
7.Flash new rom - wipe all but don't wipe data if you don't must !!
8.Unlock bootloader (warranty is not void after unlock !!)
If you have problem write to me pm !! .
My phone was unlocked after rebrand , to rebrand moment unlock bootloader is impossbile if bootloader say no in service settings !!
My phone photo is attached (look down and click on picture !! )
This is last method for unlock , some devices after rebrand you can unlock .
