Suggestion about LineageOS with MicroG in X722. - LeEco Le Pro3 Questions & Answers

Is it possible make a custom rom with lineage OS and micro G for replace google services? I have seen that it is possible in other devices.
Thanks in advanced.

I'm interested in too.

Anything yet?

micro can be installed in any rom, the only needed are signature spoffig
im now using it with aosip
and there are a lineage fork with microg support
https://lineage.microg.org/

Thanks @Gonfebo
But on the lineage-microg web, I can only see "zl1" model, wich is LeEco X720, not X722 (zl0).
Does it work with LeEco X722 too? Is there any complication to install it?
PS: Can you share installation guide for AOSIP, please?

I'm using this on Validus Oreo. Works perfect. Easy and fast to flash. Chrom, Google Maps, Youtube and Mail works.

{GIUDE} HYDROGEN OS 3.0 [Oneplus 3/3T] Installation/ Quick guide

An update to the H2OS out after a long time. The alternative ROM for the OnePlus devices is now updated to the version 3.0. The Hydrogen OS is mostly designed for the Chinese variants of the Oneplus devices. However, the H2OS 3.0 can also be installed on a regular or international variant of the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T. The ROM brings many new features.
As the Hydrogen OS is a firmware for the Chinese variant, it doesn’t come with the Google Apps pre-installed. You will need to install it separately. Fortunately, we already have a Google play store installed APK which can easily install the Google Play Services onto your Android device.

Will all the US bands be enabled with Hydrogen OS?
Hi, can anyone using a US OnePlus 3T confirm whether the US version of OnePlus 3T with Hydrogen OS will have the exact same bands enabled as the US version using Oxygen OS? I want to be as Google-free as possible and starting with a manufacturer-supported Google-free ROM like H2OS sounds like a good way to go.
I'm open to other ways to accomplish this but simpler is better for me. Finally moving away from Windows Phone, and yes I know, why would you want Android if you don't want Google? Answer, pathetically trying to cling to ownership of my personal data and can't afford the next best OEM privacy option, the iPhone (which isn't a great privacy option either). Thx!

I've been down this path too many times. It's doable but not easy. First, scrap H2OS since Playstore is preinstalled. I'd go with either a lineage based Rom or Freedom OS (OOS with the option to leave all google and OP Apps out on Installation). Just don't flash Gapps after the Rom.
But thats really the easy part. The hard part is the setup. First, you'd need to sideload at least a browser. Get the browser apk of your choice from a reputable source (xda labs is great. It even manages Updates for you). Depending on the apps you need, you'll need some playstore alternative. Some things can be had through xda-labs. If Open Source is your thing, f-droid is great too. Just don't download apk's from somewhere on the web. Your privacy might be more at risk than with google on it.
Also, get a vcard backup of your contacts (or run your own carddav server). Finally, some apps simply won't run without google framework (that's why it's back on my phone). For example "Bring", a shopping list, won't run without google framework. Don't ask me why. But i need that app. Just be prepared for some major inconveniences, and having to find workarounds... :good:
Thanks for the great input domsch1988. You've given me exactly the tips I need to get started. One question though. You mentioned Playstore is preinstalled on H2OS. I was under the impression the main difference between H2OS and OOS was H2OS's removal of all Google specific stuff to meet China's Google restrictions. I assumed that included Playstore. Are you sure it's in there? I only ask because I'd rather start with a OnePlus supported ROM if I can but if that's not the case I'll take the leap and go with one of the ROMs you suggest. Can you recommend a lineage-based ROM I can start with? And, do you have an opinion on microG as a Play framework replacement? It seems like a good idea in theory but the way it's implemented gives me some security concerns.

OP stated that PlayStore APK is preinstalled. I have not tried h2os, so can't say for sure. You could give it a try. And with root you can always uninstall system apps.
I never tried microg myself. For me it was always no g at all or the pico Gapps package.
As a lineage based ROM, on my note 4 resurrection remix was great. On the 3t I'm on stock oos, so not sure.
Play store or anything Google is not installed on H2OS
i am using it currently tried to go without play store and other apps for one day but couldn't deal with all the Chinese apps so, installed OOS although everything could have been installed on H2OS also.
Ok
Moderator Information,

New LEX727 , I want as stock andoid as possible need advice.

Hi, I just got a new 727 eui 5.18.018S .
Since I'm uppgrading from MotoG3 and I really liked the moto ( unfortunatelly GPS quit on that phone ), I'd like to have a similiar "stokish" android on the new Lepro.
I assume that's possible ?
Looking through the threads I see many different roms for that phone, so I'd like some suggestions.
What do you recommend for me?
I'd like prettymuch everything to work and be as stable as possible, google services et all.
Also what unlocking method do you recommend ?
Really appreciate any help here.
I would suggest LineageOS 14.1 (Android Nougat) which is about as stock as you can get.
To unlock the phone's bootloader for loading LineageOS check out this thread: X727 (US Model) Persistent bootloader unlock from 5.8.019s
LineageOS 14.1 can be found in this thread: [ROM][X72X][7.1.X][OFFICIAL] LineageOS 14.1 for LeEco Le Pro3

I went straight from 18s to LOS 14.1
There is an extra step of flashing the 'aboot' sector in order to unlock the boot loader but otherwise it's quite simple if you gather all the needed files and prepare.
If you want to stay stock, this will get you to 21s

Thanks for the suggestion, I was talkin about stock as in "Stock android " without any EUI etc. like on Moto g's or nexuses.
But ....
After updating to 019S the eui sucks much less than before, so I may be tempted to update first to 021s to see if it can be liked at all.
One crucial question though, would I be able to unlock bootloader from 021s ?
From what I read on the forums experience varies?

Pixel Expérience 8.1.0 rom Unofficial

Hello,
I would like to know what doesn't work in this ROM package and how to install this ROM ? With thé cm firmware ?
Thanks for your answer.
Hello @Nathan2004 how are you, what happens is that you try to install a ROM that is not for this device. You must see if SCORPIO does not say you will not be able to install it. Also for the moment you should not touch anything or run the risk of a nice bootloop for what I see. First learn a little more thoroughly what is unlocking bootloader and how to do it. I hope I have been helpful.
Thanks for your answer but I have not install this ROM I wanted know first what doesn't work.

The build of lineage 15.1 and the new build of pixel expérience upload on the psyman Android files host are another test build ?

LeEco Coolpad Cool 1 C106 USB headphone not recognized after EUI 5.8 update

I have LeEco Coolpad Cool 1 C106. Cool 1 can use USB-C headphone at EUI 5.8 14S firmware. But as soon as I upgrade it to EUI 5.8 17S, it lost USB headphone support. EUI 5.9 26S does not support either.
How can I enable EUI 5.8 or EUI 5.9 to use USB-C headphone.
PS: I know Cool 1 does not support CDLA. But I don't want to have CDLA support. I just want to use USB-C headphone with android apps (music, video, chat etc). I know that CDLA is for GSM calls. And I know I cannot make phone calls with USB-C headphone with Cool 1. I just want to make with EUI 5.8 or EUI 5.9, whatever I can do with EUI 5.6.
Thanks

You have to work through the information on your own. Regarding USB audio, I can't give you an answer, unfortunately.
You can try flashing the 17s firmware. TWRP flashable version: https://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?s=&showtopic=776801&view=findpost&p=71427433
JUI is based on Android N. Right now there are two versions, that has been updated recently:

I own the C103 and currently use it as my daily driver. I haven't made the switch to JUI yet, but it seems stable the version from Machomotofan (based on the software from Coolpad Play6) https://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?s=&showtopic=776801&view=findpost&p=71764423 . I am using stock firmware. I used to have EUI 5.9 26S but I will try EUI 5.6 14S and EUI 5.8 17S to be able to use USB audio. I know 14S supports USB audio but 17S seems that does not support USB audio. If I can install GAPPS to 14S, I will try to use EUI 5.6 14S. Because it seems that only stock ROM that supports USB audio is 14S. I want to try some JUI firmwares too to see if they support USB audio and IR remote control.
Instead of doing all this just install a TPA named "Sound About". It will definitely help you.

Like.
I discovered that there is an option in Developer Options -> Select USB Configuration -> Audio Source.
I am not sure if it is working because I am already EUI 5.6 14S and USB audio is already working. If I will flash EUI 5.8 or EUI 5.9 again, I will test this feature.
On the other hand I have Chuwi Hi8 Pro tablet which has USB-C port which is running Android 5.1. I looked for this option but there wasn't this option inside Developer Options. Is this feature (Select USB Configuration) comes with Android 6.0?

I tried it with EUI 5.9 26S and Sound About did not help. Nothing has changed. On the other hand, I noticed that they remove Select USB Configuration option from Developer Options. So no luck for EUI 5.9. I'll downgrade to EUI 5.6. EUI 5.6 consumes less RAM, and may perform better than 5.9 and I wil have USB audio option.

GSI roms?

Hello everyone, has someone already tried to flash a GSI ROM on the k20/mi9t?
Yes, I'm running PHH's AOSP 9.0.
Two big issues:
• Popup camera pops at every reboot
- It only popup and retract with commands
- Doesn' work when you use any camera app
• You have to wake up the screen to use the fingerprint
Popup camera is almost fixed, someone with a Redmi K20 Pro is working on it and Phhusson is cleaning the code.

Yes, unless it's something specific for the Snapdragon 855, most of modifications should work in both devices.

A GSI rom Is a Generic System Image, in other words Is Simply an "Universal rom", you can literally flash It on every device compatible with project treble.
Standard Roms on the other side (like LOS) are made specifically for a single device
I dont know why peoples wants to install GSI ROM, ? half things doesnt work, better to wait for real ROMs for this device, if it will be once.

But axon 7 is not xiaomi, and dont have miui. dont know what firmware your axon come with. But if you use mi9t/k20 to use gsi for now i dont see reason. if on your k20 is chines firmware, unlock bootloader and flash global, or XEU rom. and if your mi9t is with global, unlock bootloader install chines or xeu, or any other miui rom. and wait for other normal custom roms, this gsi have non senses for this kind of phones. there is sense for gsi for devices as huawei as you cant unlock bootloader, so no aosp custom roms, just treble or gsi.

We flash GSI because the really stable custom ROMS will come out at least 2-3 months from now, so unless you can tolerate the MIUI it is the only way to flash and use a quite stable custom ROM since patches for GSIs will arrive very soon for our device
