Hello, newb here.
I have a p10 lite that won't see the 5ghz Wi-Fi network though it sees the regular network? How can I fix this?
My real issue is that it won't see the DJI SPARK 's network either and that's my biggest frustration right now.
... desperate cry for help ?.
Reseting the DJI's wifi worked though the 5ghz home wifi still doesn't show up even after reseting it.

After the upgrade to Lollipop on my Yoga 2 830, I'm noticing that the wifi gets no internet access even while connected every so often. I have to turn off and turn back on the wifi for it to reconnect. Is anyone else having this issue? I don't have any issues w/ any of my other devices connected to wifi.
I'm not on static IP, no issues with the router. I didn't have any issues on kitkat. Please share if you also have this issue. Thanks.

Did you try connecting your device to another wifi network to see if the problem persists?
I have noticed something similar happening with my Xperia Z ultra after it upgraded to lollipop. I realised that it was happening only on the older wifi routers (I use an ancient Linksys WRT54G), but seems to have no problem with the newer ones.
Changing the channel of your wifi router might help alleviate the problem. I am not certain if it would work in your case, but if you do not have another router handy, this just might do the trick. If you are looking to change the channel, an easy guide is available here.

I've got a Netgear AC1900 nighthawk with a netgear ex6200 range extender. The tablet is primarily connected to the 5ghz band on the nighthawk. I do have other routers but they are older. I might have to try to take it to work and see if I lose internet access.
I've changed the bands around and it does help. I've rebooted the router, rebooted the tablet, forgotten the wifi and so on. It's still happening after some time. By the looks of it, there are others that have experienced this on other devices. I haven't done a factory reset. I would prefer not have to go through the setup again.
Hi i have huawei p8 lite ALE dual sim , my problem is that the phone is suddenly does not join any WiFi network and said ( network access denied ) and i didn't do any thing to it before no roms no root nothing just the last official update the company send to me from about 3 months and after that the phone was working perfectly nothing just from a couple of days it cant join any WiFi network but Bluetooth and 3g are working normally note that the phone doesn't fallen or something like that and thanks
That happens due to the issue with router not with phone.
In general if many users are connected to same router and it cant handle anymore new connections then such error occurs.
Just restart your router it will solve your issue.

Even i have same problem its not problem with router . i was trying to connect to google public wifi and my phone didnt get connect but people who came after me gor their phone connected . (i had same issue with many times)

I have Nokia 6 with Android version 7.1.1 and ever since the first use in July I found the Wi-Fi hotspot very unstable: when connecting my laptop to the Wi-Fi hotspot run on the phone, it's often that laptop connectivity hangs, it doesn't matter i use 5GHz or 2.4GHz. In the area I live there's full signal and same location and same SIM card using old crap Huawei has been working just fine. Has anybody hit the same issue? I read a bit around this may have something to do with Android 7 version.

i have brought the nokia 6 two times, with same issue, nokia 6 hotspot is not turning on properly, its says error, i tried to reset it, but problem persists, i bought 3 device with same issue, after a restart it get fixs, but two days later, it happens again, anyone have any idea, please share. need to fix it soon.

First of all thanks a lot that this great Forum exist. When I have Problems with my phone the first step is to search in this Forum.
Now I have a Problem that I can't solve alone.
For my FPV Cam i Need the 5.8GHz Wifi Network on Channel 149.
When I use a IPhone I can connect the phone with the Copter Cam.
At my Huawei I can't find this Network.
Is it possible to open the channels?
I tryed it as follows:
* I changed the wifi Region Code to US (with root)
* tryed to do the WIFI County Code fix (from your Forum)
* I tryed to edit the wpa_supplicant file to Change the wifi Network to an external wifi OTG Stick which reach this channel
But nothing worked well.
Hopefully anyone can help me.

Some P10 Lites can't use 5GhZ wifi.
Depends what model you have. My TL10 can't use it.

As the title states the 5ghz wifi hotspot doesn't work. It may show that is enabled and all the relevant icons appear but no device ever is able to find the network. 2.4ghz works fine. I have the phone for about 2 years now and I really can't remember a point when it worked. In the meantime I have changed to miui.eu (the phone came with miui global) and it still doesn't work.
Could the wifi chip be faulty from the beginning? Do you guys have a similar problem? It's not really a huge deal but I'm just curious about what may have caused this problem.
