Best way to upgrade to Nougat from systemless xposed root?

Hi all, let me explain my situation.
I have a Motorola G4+ XT1641 with stock MM 6.0.1 (build number ending in 139-23.1)
I'm on systemless root, with systemless Xposed and TWRP
Which is the best/fastest way to upgrade to Nougat?
I'm willing to install custom roms such as CM, or stock roms like the Lenovo soak test or AOSP

Miui 9 Magisk Systemless Xposed?

Required correct magisk version of xposed for our Miui 9 MM base.
Anyone succeed in magisk xposed?

ROM compatible with Magisk and GravityBox

I'm desperately looking for a custom ROM compatible with Magisk and the xposed module GravityBox.
Reason is that I need to install fbind or ts-binds (both Magisk modules) and I'm now used to enjoy the features that GravityBox (xposed/Magisk module) offers. Unfortunately nor EMUI 5 neither EMUI 8 are compatible with GravityBox.
I would need an AOSP rom based on Nougat or Oreo (not Pie). Any suggestion ?
