My Phone Got Stuck on the Boot Screen. - Lenovo A6000/Plus Questions & Answers

Hello, I own a Lenovo A6010, I recently tried to install a custom rom from a forum in this website, as i am newbie to all this, I think i screwed somewhere. Now my phone is stuck on boot screen. I cannot even start my phone in recovery mode or the menu that takes you to recovery mode.
Before flashing i had taken a backup of the dalvik cache and system and data and all those options available in the backup option in twrp which kept on my pc. Now i dont have any idea what do.
I even downloaded the stock rom of my phone from some website, but it was available in a rar file.
When I connect my phone with a cable while pressing the volume down button the same boot screen pops up and my computer starts to install device drivers. I think my phone can be brought back to normal, but i don't know how.
can someone please help me with some suggestions on what to do with my brick.
Thanks in Advance...
Warm regards

Do you have twrp installed? And by what method exactly did you try to install the custom rom?
Edit: Nevermind. Didn't realise this was a year old thread

Urgent help!

Hi, cut a long story short, I have no ROM downloaded on my phone and I am in recovery. When I boot to system it displays my phone is not rooted and then gets stuck at the boot screen.
This has happened because I factory resetted my phone, then wiped EVERYTHING within recovery, and obviously I wasn't thinking that I would be left without a rom.
What should I do please? How can I get a ROM on to my phone?
Thanks.

Hi,
First check if you can go to download mode.
turn off device. then wait few seconds. then press volume down button and plug the usb to your pc. if you see download mode you are good to go. i am waiting for your answer.
or, if my memory serves me well, you can ADB push the ROM, the .zip file over and flash it from recovery.
thanks for your replies guys, I entered download mode and flashed a stock kdz file, this had worked successfully I am now back to lg g2 stock with no root! my phone is amazingly faster but ahh cant survive without root
cheers.
U can root it now. Go ahead

Stuck on LG Logo (Stock recovery, No DL Mode)

Hi all
First of all sorry for asking this question but after search for hours I have come across no answers.
My device wont boot, it gets stuck on the LG logo. I also cant seem to boot in Download mode to restore back to stock. The device in a G2 International and is unlocked. I have installed PC drivers etc but will not work. I turn off device completely, even tried disconnecting battery on mother board, and pressed up to boot in DL mode but it will not work just boot into LG logo again. Now i CAN get in the restore hard reset screen by pressing power and V down but it stays on the device restore screen after I have pressed power button a couple of times. Also PC will now see device when in this mode either.
Any help or pointing in the right direction would be a lot of help.

You didn't specify if you were using a Windows PC, or a Linux OS. A Linux operating system could see the device even when Windows doesn't. Using Linux and the ADB toolkit - I would push a custom recovery to the device and then reboot into the new recovery. After that it should be easy to mount the device and install a new ROM.
Ah! Reading again, I see "installed drivers", so you must be using Windows. Try using Linux.
Thanks, so I tired the unbrick method of short circuiting the mother board and then using linux to see the partions push aboot, boot and laf img this allowed me to boot into download mode and then using flash tool to flash a UK based 4.2.2 ROM the device is now working perfectly. Thanks for you help. MOD you can close this thread now.
Link for method I used here.

New/Stock Oneplus Two, unable to boot into recovery

Hey all, completely new to this forum and my Oneplus Two that I've had for a little over two weeks.
I recently got a OTA update for Oxygen 2.2.0 but I can't seem to install it. Everytime I download it and click the "install" option, the phone reboots (probably to go to recovery) but after a very brief splash screen and a vibration, it vibrates again and displays the standard boot splash screen, boots into the OS and offers me to download the update again.
I've done a little troubleshooting in the past two-three days and from what I understand, the phone doesn't seem to be able to boot into recovery or fastboot. I've enabled the advanced options in the "reboot" menu and when selecting "recovery" the phone reboots and does the same behavior described above. I tried powering off the phone and booting with the volume up button pressed (while pressing power) and the phone boots and displays a "Fastboot Mode" splash screen but it seems to hang there forever until I actually shut it off again and power it back on. Also, I've tried booting it into recovery from ADB, connected to my PC and I get the same behavior: brief splash screen with a vibrate and then the phone seems to reboot again normally.
I haven't tampered with the phone yet, it is brand new out of the box, not rooted and nothing other than simply installing a few games, Nova Launcher, changing the wallpaper and using it as you would normally use your phone.
Anyone has an idea how I could actually get the Recovery functioning on this phone?
Best regards and thanks in advance for any help!

That is the norm for fastboot, it doesn't go past that screen.
It may not make a difference, did you try to boot to recovery via Power+Volume Down buttons?
Greetings Khaos64,
Yes, I've tried booting with Vol-Down+Power but the phone does not start.
With volume-up+power, I get the Fastboot splash screen but the phone does not respond to any input.
I tried selecting "bootloader" from the reboot menu but I get the same thing: Reboots and after a second, the phone reboots again normaly and into OxygenOS.
Is there a way to verify if the bootloader or recovery is corrupt and maybe reflash the stock recovery onto the phone?
Thanks for your input!
You may just want to go straight to oneplus support since everything is stock and only 2 weeks they should be able to get you updated or replace it.
If you'd like to be more hands on... maybe something below can help.
So your phone isn't recognized/no commands acceptred from your computer when booted to fastboot?
Such as unlocking your bootloader and booting into twrp... "fastboot boot yourfilename.img" or maybe flashing it.
Make sure OEM unlocking is selected in Developer options.
If you can't do that then this may not work but is worth a shot.

I did try to contact Oneplus for support but I am not the one who purchased the phone. Long story short, it was a gift from my girlfriend that she bought off of someone. The phone was new in box and was a warranty replacement. I would have to contact the seller and go trough him for support unfortunately.
Thanks for the different suggestions!, I will fiddle around with it this afternoon while the kids are having their mid-day nap and I'll get back with the results
Thanks again for the help, it's greatly appreciated!
Hello,
I eventually started fiddling around with fasboot and tried unlocking the bootloader. This sent the phone into a bootloop where it would try to boot into recovery and reboot right away.
I found an article on how to restore the phone to Oxygen 2.1.1. It would wipe user data but I did it anyway and it actually did restore the phone and now I have a worling recovery.
Here is a link to the guide I used:

Thanks again for the help in solving my issue
Congratulations hope you enjoy the phone

SM-G950F won't boot, hard bricked?

I had to reboot my device due to problems with my speaker. Now i'm not able to boot anymore.
I'm only able to get into ODIN Mode, and flashing new FW or TWRP does nothing. It'll flash correctly, but as soon as it sends the reboot command the device powers off and does not boot, and no, it does not reach the "Galaxy s8, powered by android screen".
It does not want to power on, and only responds to the odin button combo, can't boot into recovery either since nothing works.
I was running the latest version of Renovate Ice if that matters.
I've searched trough some other threads, but it seems like i'm the only one that's having this problem.
Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
Edit 1: I've tried flashing both AQK7 and AQG5. Both flash fine, but as soon as odin sends the reboot command to my phone, it turns off and does not turn on.
Auto Reboot is ticked. Same goes for any version of TWRP, it will flash, but when it has to reboot the device turns off and does not turn on. There's nothing on the screen, its completely black and the only thing that does work is Download Mode. I've also tried ereasing nand, and repartitioning storage. Both seem to have 0 effect. As stated in one of my replies, i was running the latest build of renovate-ice with magisk, no other mods, or themes installed.
Im a bit confused - you can only boot into download mode (not into twrp?) and the phone is in bootloop? Have you flashed anything (mod?) before or activated a substratum theme which could cause this?
The only thing I can think of is a) you delete in twrp file manager the corrupted file, if there is something like this or b) a twrp restore from a backup. Boot into download mode and then do not press vol up to go into odin mode but press vol down to reboot - then immediately press the combo for twrp and you will get to the recovery. This helped my s8 many times when I was in a bootloop and couldnt boot up twrp

Thanks for the reply! Other than using the Renovate-Ice rom, and running magisk the thing was pretty much stock. wasn't messing around in twrp either. Its not stuck in a bootloop either, it just refuses to do anything other than go in and out of DL mode. The phone does not respond to any button imputs other than DL mode. As stated in the OP it does not boot at all, just a black screen. i've already tried to reflash a stock FW and TWRP, but that does not seem to work...
try the method I did - this is the last thing I could think of, before reflash the whole phone with odin

There isn't much to say about the problem ,it just stopped working, hence why i rebooted the phone, and ran in to the problem i'm having right now.

Doesn't work sadly, but thanks for the help anyways!
but you havent installed Viper4Arise or anything like that?
Because of this my speaker also stopped working a few weeks ago
if you can get into download mode then get into download mode and leave phone, then download samsung smart switch for your pc (older version like 4.1.17022_20 from here http://www.filehorse.com/download-samsung-smart-switch/29268/ that allows phone based recovery), once installed open it, then click on more at top right, (do not update the software if you get a prompt) select emergency device recovery...., then click on right tab (device initialisation) and fill in your phone details etc., connect your phone (in download mode) and follow the process, maybe it works, you'll need to root and install TWRP again but thats no big issue.

I've tried this just now, and it still gives me the same result, it goes trough the process, but as soon as it has to reboot it doesn't boot anymore.
Thanks for the suggestion though!

Soft bricked my Lava R1s - Please Help!!!

Hi,
I couldn't figure out where to ask this query since I couldn't find anything regarding my phone. I own a Lava_R1s with StarOS V3.3 with Android Version 6.0. This is a phone available specifically in the U.A.E market since its made without camera and GPS so that it can be used in the oil field.
I tried to root the phone and now its soft bricked. I can enter fastboot mode and recovery mode (TWRP) but every time i try to switch on the phone it keeps going into a loop of the "Lava Powered by android" and switches off and then continues to keep doing that.
Here is what i did.
1. I used fastboot to unlock the OEM.
2. Then I flashed TWRP as recovery for the mobile.
3. After that i installed SuperSU zip file.
After all these steps my phone refuses to start up. It just comes to the LAVA powered by android screen and stays on that screen till i press the power button.
Further more I tried flashing the boot and system with Stock ROM files downloaded from needrom.com. That hasn't helped. In fact the looping of the initial screen started after flashing boot and system files (I used img files for Lava R1 Lite since those where the only ones i could find).
Would be really grateful if anyone could provide me a solution for this issue.
Another thing is that a lot of my colleagues have the same phone, so if there is anyway to extract the rom from their phone and install on mine without actually rooting their device it would also work for me i guess.
