Need help with debloating please! - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

I know most of apps that disable apps are pretty much diacontinued and i can't install BK package disabler because it is not available in my country and when i download it from some website and install it it says that the app is not signed ( not downloaded from google play i guess )
So what do you guys suggest so i can disable apps without root?
Tyy

Look up uninstalling apps through ADB, and then use those commands to remove anything you want. I believe there is a tutorial on how to do it over at the S8 Guides and Tutorials page

Nandroid backup is done inside of clockwork recovery which you can use rom manager to boot into.
Custom roms will usually come with busybox, but if you want to update your version you can download busybox installer from market
Not sure what you are doing with google maps, but if you uninstall maps it shouldnt give you a problem reinstalling another google maps apk manually or from market.
If it says read only on system folder then you have not changed to write access. What file browser are you using?
You can absolutely unstall any of the tmobile bloatware including tmobile tv. If you want a precooked rom that has all of this stuff removed and is stock in every other way then check the link in my sig for my mysense rom. It may be exactly what you are looking for.

Yes you need root for removing system apps. But why would you want to remove play store? You use you're smartphone just for calls and texts?
Also, deleting play store services will cause system instability, inability to receive updates, or to use some other services like cloud backup.....
Yes, is ok to delete apps that are considered bloatware ( like amazon, eBay, or games) but some of these are removable without root.
Best thing for you is to go to settings -> apps and click on apps that bother you. There you will find uninstall button for what you can delete or disable for apps that can be frozen
Thanks for answer.
Anyway i didn't write i want to remove play store or play services! I just says some google apps like play, drive, hangouts etc.

yes you can
I have removed Hicare, Hivoice, Huawei ID, NFC service, Services Exchange and all the google stock apps (Movies, music, google+ etc) and all is working fine (Google play services is an essential app)
You can also disable these apps on the info page of the apps.
They remain on the phone and take the space but they are not active any more.
if someone messes up hit me up i have the whole system unpacked and i will post the apps on this thread

Could you give the whole system unpacked, I've deleted something that I cant't get it back, ty
To easily delede system apps you can use the app Link2SD if you have root access
Is not recommended to delete the stock apps because can cause malfunction of the system but you can stop the services. There are not many bloatware on Huawei P9 Lite an i think they can be necessary.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jumobile.manager.systemapp.pro
It's the app I have use to do the job. Works fine. Root needed.
1st of all you have to root your Android. You can use King Root app to root your device. (But I am not sure KingRoot will root your device or not). After rooting your android install lucky Patcher app. Then select the app you want to remove. But remember some of the apps are important for your device. so be careful about removing stock apps. Good luck!

Debloat P9 Lite

Hello,
I want to debloat my P9 Lite from apps like Youtube etc. I used the approach from a video called "Remove ALL Bloatware from any Android Smartphone without Root" (cannot post link)
Bringing my phone into debug mode and installing adb all went fine. However, when I start Debloater (version 4.0) -- it shows me the correct serial number and battery status, though -- the model gets called "generic_a15" in Debloater. Furthermore, no package is listed when I click "Read Device Packages".
Does somebody know how I can resolve this issue? Thank you very much for your attention!

Hi,
i never used that method, so
just my thought...
Maybe you have to try to reboot your device in fastboot mode,
then try to launch the debloater and see if it shows you packages.
Regards
Downloaded and installed, also not working.
Any other method to remove unwanted apps?

Installing a custom ROM usually brings a series of benefits including that
of not having bloatweres so it is my main recommendation.
On the other hand, manually, with superuser permissions and a root app manager,
you can uninstall all the applications you want, but you must pay attention to what you touch,
the system could become unstable (google apps). Do some research before venturing.
Making a Nandroid backup before starting is almost mandatory, always recommended.
Good luck
Installing custom roms is nice But simple huawei backup and restore for stuffs is so much easier than some third party app to do.
I would so easy install some of the many custom roms But eui is so easy and works.....

Excuse me I probably did not grasp the juice of the speech.
I have already answered for what I know, custom roms or manual uninstallations of what you do not want.
Another way would be to freeze / disable unwanted apps ... the device will be grateful ..
Dear use @ to quote.
Best regards

based on https://github.com/rainman74/FireTV-Settings/releases
install as normal APK.
Root is needed.
NewSettingsGerRoot.apk = German
NewSettingsEngRoot.apk = English
FireTV-SettingsGer.zip = Android Studio Zip German
FireTV-SettingsEng.zip = Android Studio Zip English
Feel free to customize it for whatever works best for you! ...

Ok so the apk file is unnecessary with root since the zip is in charge of that correct? This is actually interesting considering that the Amazon Launcher being disabled with root therefore losing functionality to accessing settings unless you were to use adb commands.
Edit: the apk was supposed to be installed, works 100%

Questions...
So does the Zip need to be flashed?
Then install the APK?
Is the Amazon launcher disable by doing this, or do I have to disable that myself?
Can you easily remove it?
The Zip file is for customize.
SourceCode for Android Studio.
You must disable it .
OK so disable
com.amazon.tv.launcher
?
1. install APK
2. Flash zip ( for customize if you want)
3. disable launcher
The zip, what does it modify and how do you go back?
Sorry for the questions, just want to know what to expect if i have an issue...
Install other Launcher.
For mantis maybe you need FTVLaunchX to start the alternate Launcher.
#adb shell pm disable com.amazon.tv.launcher
Install apk to access the settings without amazon Launcher.
The Zip the SourceCode to build apk.
I hope it is understandable now
Thanks bro, this works perfect with ATV Launcher 0.1.2 now i can access amazon built-in apps on 4k stick.
Thanks for this.
Couple of queries:
Lots of icons on my custom launcher. But all start off at sleep. Is this normal? If so why so many icons?
The command to disable the amazon launcher is not working and I do have root. Any ideas?
Edit: Not to worry about the above. I found a new version that gives me just the one icon
Also found the instructions to delete the amazon launcher so that is good.
Only problem that some might have is installing new apps from the amazon marketplace (or whatever they call it).
Any ideas about how to do this?
Use this Version.

Amazon Market is not working.
You must sideload the apps.
Also you can push the apps over the Amazon Website to your Stick.
App Updates should be installed automatic.

Thanks for that.
I manage a lot of these sticks. Most I know the Amazon accounts for so will use the web site to push to them if they request new apps.
I will ask for the other account details but if they wont provide them I will send them to the website to install themselves if they want new apps.
It seems Amazon pushed out a new prime Video app today (or I was told about it today) that asks it you want to install it.
Was told it no longer works with this setup if it is installed. Was fine yesterday and no prompt to update then.
Might be a problem with the Prime Video app in general and not this setup, but all my sticks are running these fixes now.
Just tested on one and it is true. Trying to open Prime Video does nothing. Tried both the icons for it (one never worked but now both do not).
Will see if I can roll it back (once I find the original apk).
Thanks for this. So nice not to see the Amazon Launcher at all now.
