Can the bootloader be relocked to set condition back to full stock? - LG V20 Questions & Answers

As per title, if you unlock the bootloader can it be relocked at a later time and phone set back to factory condition in the event it needs to be sent back to amazon for square trade warranty replacement? Unlocked US996 version.

What about the H990DS?
I'm purchasing a brand new V20 (H990DS) tomorrow. I'm interested in what OP is asking, can someone confirm if it is possible? And what are the steps to do so? Any precautions too? (Unroot, revert to stock and lock the bootloader)

Moto Maker & Unlocked Bootloader

All,
Anyone know or had any luck returning their device for a "re-do" of their design after they have unlocked their bootloader?
Thanks!
FWIW, a Moto rep told me that once I unlocked the bootloader, I was on my own. While they will probably fix hardware issues unrelated to the bootloader under warranty, I seriously doubt that they'd restore your custom greeting after unlocking. Not for free, anyway.
I don't know why you would need a custom greeting when you can pretty much do what you want with the phone anyway. LOL
I think it would probably be fine since you're not returning it for software reasons. http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...o-remove-unlocked-bootloader-warning-t3201141 could be used to remove the unlocked bootloader warning.

Nwtwork lock an unlocked SIM

Hi all,
Have an interesting question. I bought an unlocked S4 on ebay and found that it was not factory or paid unlocked, but by first rooting then unlocking the network. And this was after I paid for unlocking lol oops. I emailed the seller and he confirmed the root/unlock, but that he doesn't remember how or what he used, yeah right.
Is there a way to undo the sim unlocked phone via root?
I just barely finished returning to stock after several days of stuck on firmware recovery fail.
Thanks

H918 Carrier Unlocked - Factory reset - Keep Unlock

Just got my H918 T-Mobile Unlocked from an Ebay Seller. The good news is that it is on 10k, so I can downgrade and enjoy the twrp and root awesomeness! Just one thing: Will I lose the carrier unlock after I factory reset or flash another rom? (Sim unlock works as it should and I did not have to do anything with the T-Mobile Device Unlock app, which was preinstalled)

don't think you will but I would still check around first
I have checked around. Probably will not lose the unlock. Maybe someone else has been in the same situation. I have to make sure.
Not sure if I'm answering your question right but t mobile has the obligation to unlock fully paid off phones. So if the device is fully paid off and something happens you can call t mobile again to unlock it.
Update: Unlocked bootloader, installed custom rom, never lost sim unlock.

No you will not lose your unlock. Once unlocked it's for good.

Unlock LG v20 Android Oreo

Good morning,
I need to know who knows how to Unlock the Lg V20 with android oreo the version of Sprint model LS997a :crying:
if you mean unlock as in unlock the bootloader to root, you do not. You thank sprint for making it so locked down that their model has been unrootable for a long long time. NO, you can't simply go back to a rootable version, physical fuses preventing that have been tripped.

rooting a unlocked G6

could doing this somehow relock phone? bought from another person and dont have this info to get it unlocked again.
