After SGS5, which phone will you buy next?

I'm very very happy with my SGS5. Just got it 2 weeks ago, but I was wondering what phone are you guys considering for your next purchase, or if you don't plan on changing it for quite a while (this is my case).
If I were to change I would probably go for the LG G4 or OnePlus Two.
I'm curious to see what people's next plan is after the SGS5.

It could be an interesting choice to buy the Nexus 6, but in 2 years time. By then the price will be much more affordable and you still get better specs, like the QHD 6 screen, 3GB RAM, Snapdragon 805, 64GB storage option, OIS and still the latest Android OS.

We all know that the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge won't be released before April 10 in the US (just like in other parts of the world). What we don't know is when the two new Samsung flagship smartphones will be available to pre-order Stateside, since there's been no official word on the matter. But a Reddit user may have revealed precious details about this.
Reportedly, Best Buy will accept pre-orders for the S6 and S6 edge on March 27. Moreover, another Reddit user (who claims to be a Samsung employee) says that customers who pre-order an S6 or S6 edge for Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint should receive a free wireless charging pad that will normally cost $49.99.
Obviously, for now we can't confirm these details. However, since Samsung is already accepting pre-orders for the S6 and S6 edge in some markets, we're expecting the same thing to happen soon in the US, too.
Off contract prices for the cheapest Galaxy S6 variant (32 GB) could start at $699.99, while the S6 edge 32 GB might cost $799.99. So, who's looking forward to buying Samsung's new Galaxies?

Just as a heads up, looks like the 128GB Edge (possible the standard as well, not sure) for AT&T is web-only. This has two implications:
1. It means picking it up in-store might not happen. And if it does, it'll probably be in limited stores.
2. It means, sooner or later, they might not offer that particular SKU at all, and it'll be the first one to go. I forget which device it was that I owned, but they had a "web-only" variant of it that was actually unobtainable after only a few months and I ended up having to get an "alternate" when I got a replacement.
Also, for anyone curious, looks like the asshats at AT&T had to put their stupid branding on the back of the device.

Black S6 with free black Qi charger and $50 gift card. That seriously can't be beat.

I badly want to do this deal. Unfortunately the discount arrangement I have with AT&T won't carry over if I get it through Best Buy. I am gonna go ahead and buy the wireless charging pad from them though.

Carrier is AT&T. But AT&T and Sprint are both doing this. That's the Best Buy deal going on for all preorders on the S6 and Edge. Free wireless Samsung charger and $50 gift card.

Kind of, I preordered over the phone this morning.
Call up and check if your local shop is doing it. It's funny I beat the news outlets to the news, and still no reporting of it has been made.

As part of the preorder deal, Best Buy forces you to purchase a $50 gift card to use towards the phone when you pick it up. Not a big deal.

I did the same thing. This will be my first non HTC phone. Due to current reviews I'm going with this because of the camera as I use it a lot.

S6 edge+, Note 5 or iPhone 6 Plus-Which one should i buy?

I already own Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Alpha, so that's why i'm thinking about buying iPhone 6 Plus, but i really like N5 and S6 edge+ ...what do you people think? Which one should i buy, which one would you buy?

I vote Edge+. This phone is simply stunning and a powerhouse. Just got my gold one today! AT&T.

Thanks for your reply, edge+ is probably the one i will buy but i'm not sure yet, it will arrive in stores in a few days so i need to see it in person first, but that's the one i'm betting my money on the most at this moment

You can see it now at Best Buy...it is beautiful. My last 2 phones I stayed away from Samsung with a G3 and Nexus 6...but as soon as I saw the Edge plus I knew I would be buying it. I preordered and pick it up Friday. Can't wait!!!

Just got my Gold Platinum from UPS about an hour ago. Holy freaking &#*^! This phone is so flippin beautiful. I'm in love. Samsung hit a home run with this one. The people that are whining and complaining about not having an SD card slot and removable battery are gonna be sorry they didn't upgrade.

I ordered the 64GB Gold Platinum Edge+!! Can't wait til it gets here!!

I use prepaid Puretalkusa mobile so no need to select color provided by ATT or T-Mobile and hence bought factory unclocked Silver color from ebay whih i wil get on wednesday.I also ordered skins from slickwraps(hero series and metal silver) and I am going to change the look of my phone very 6 months with skins I ordered and why not it looks so damm beautifull.

Get the Note 5, Edge+ is cool and stunning looking but I personally think edge features are not worth the premium price. Give me a S Pen over an edge.

Listen this Edge+ is the best looking phone I have ever had and I've had just about every flagship device over the years (outside of apple) and this phone is the most gorgeous piece of technology I have ever owned. Get the Edge+ you won't regret it!!

Best price for S8

I saw a T-Mobile kiosk at Costco selling the S8 for $599 with no strings attached. This works for me since I'm in the market for a phone and am a T-Mobile customer. I'm holding out for a reduced pixel 1 price once the pixel 2 is released. The max I'd spend is 600 so unless the Galaxy will drop any further then this seems like a good deal. Thought I'd crowd source some perspective before pulling the trigger. Budget is 600 and under, and I'd prefer the pixel line or the Galaxy line. I'd consider the LG V30 but assuming that will be outside my budget.

I have already decided to jump ship a month back. I have convinced myself on the smaller battery, smaller screen compared to S20 Ultra, 120hz FHD+.
But yesterday's news on exynos 990 is a little upsetting and making me look towards iPhone 12 in Sept.
Price should be same as S20U. around 90k for 12/128GB. Launch date 21st Aug.

I've zero interest in an Exynos 990 powered "flagship" for late 2020.

Unless they release a Snapdragon version in India, Note 20 can't be a day 1 purchase like all the previous Samsung devices. After all these years, Samsung's image processing sadly hasn't improved, the skin tones and fine details still look smeared.. am hoping Nokia can release a proper flagship this year..else, looking out for Asus ZenFone 7 Pro to see if that's a better alternative. This year, I can't waste money on another Samsung device if the image processing and Exynos crap still continue.

Z fold 2 also is a viable option...which ll be released with Snapdragon SoC in India. But day to day usage with a very sensitive screen and kids around becomes tough to choose.
I miss the boxier design of the Note 10 plus.
Now that exynos is confirmed, hoping Samsung has done some improvements to match the 865.
Happy that the base storage is 256GB and the frame is stainless steel.

Launching tomorrow...excited and I'm getting it.
Looking forward to
1. Overall improved camera and better zoom quality
2. Spen with 9ms response time
3. LTPO dynamic 2X display
4. Wireless DeX
5. Better heat/battery management
6. Mystic Bronze brushed corning gorilla glass 7
All these should definitely make it a better experience from S20 Ultra

No, just the 3rd offer in case you are not eligible for the other 2.

Ultra is coming in 5G.

One disappointment with the prebook offer is...currently the 10k estore credit cannot be used on Galaxy Watch 3 45mm.

Checked recycledevice, for S20U, 1 to 5 months old they quote 62k as cash and 65k as amazon pay balance.
On samsung website it shows 54k only which is bad.
I'm thinking of trying out recycle device asap as my ultra be will 5 plus months old coming 13th Aug :laugh:

Also, whats this confusion about 128/256GB.. i thought Ultra will start with 256GB
I think, if I get anything over 52K for the Ultra, I will be fine!

In India, Note 20 Ultra 5G comes in just 1 variant that is 256GB and 2 colors (Bronze and Black, no white )
As for the recycledevice website, it would be my first experience with it. Cashify also quotes 55k only.
Edit: I was expecting the price to be lesser than S20 Ultra, but OnePlus is to be blamed here, they hiked the price and marketed 8 Pro as 5G device letting Samsung follow suit.

i think the samsung shop offer will stand.. you register with your mobile and you will get a 10K credit. You can use this for Buds live...

Even I think so, but in the prebook offer guide it is mentioned as
" customers who pre-book Note20 Ultra will be eligible for Samsung Shop benefit of ₹10000.00 and HDFC Cashback of upto ₹9000.00"

Yup.. so you prebook anywhere, you can register the IMEI to get 10k credit.

The camera seems to be significantly improved from the s20 ultra.
I have only ever once had a note.. I think it was the 4.
