Does HBO Go work on the Shield Android TV - Shield Android TV Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys, there is a Android TV version of HBO Go. Is it working for You guys that might have it?
I have Zulu's Full Android ROM on my Shield Android TV and normally I can use either Phone apps or Android TV apps, it has full support for the Shield Remote or I can use my Air Mouse.
The problem I have with HBO Go is, first of all, the app does not seem to fit the screen properly even if I force landscape. Second the air mouse or the Shield Remote does not seem to be able to click the menus. Could be I guess because the screen is not fitting properly?
I would like to know if it's a problem with this ROM or if people using the stock ROM have the same issue

[Q] Questions about installing CM10.1 on Q

I ordered a OTG cable, wireless mouse, and blue tooth keyboard last week. I would really like to increase the functionality of my Nexus Q, but I have a few questions.
1) Once CM10.1 is flashed onto the Nexus Q, is there a way to revert back to original stock functionality?
2) I've read in some forums of users pairing their Sony GoogleTV remotes via bluetooth to the Nexus Q. I have a Vizio Co Star, has anyone tried pairing this remote to their Nexus Q after flashing CM10.1?
3) The only app I have seen mentioned running on the Q with CM10.1 is XBMC. What other apps are working (Netflix, Hulu Plus, Plex,....)?
Thanks!

When you flash to cyanogen your Q is basically a normal android device. Like a tablet or a phone. So if it can be paired with your phone it can be paired with the Q.
Netflix and angry birds and everything work fine if you can get them on. Some are blocked from being installed by the store. At least they were when i tried.
If you want to revert back you flash the factory image.
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#tungsten
Boot into bootloader
flash the image.
wipe cache and data one way or the other(preferably while flashing. I think its -w)
I'll do step by step if you need it. There are a lot of places that will give you the feel of it though.
Thanks! How has been your experience been with it? What kind of setup are you using (wireless mouse, keyboard, or bluetooth remote)? I'm thinking about trying flash CM10.1 tomorrow and input you could give would be great!
Sv: [Q] Questions about installing CM10.1 on Q
I only used a USB Mouse when setting up the device. In my opinion you can't set it up without a mouse.
But it can use the android soft keyboard. So you won't need a physical keyboard.
Now I have installed Tablet Remote on my phone and on the Q to navigate which app I want to open.
And when XBMC is open I use the official XBMC remote.
Actually I am considering installing Tasker on the Q to automatically launch XBMC when booting. Cause thats more or less the only app I am using.

You are right. Its impossible to setup without a OTG cable and usb mouse.

IR remote for Shield TV with Full Android 5.1

Hello,
unfortunately I can't post direct to the thread of the Full Android 5.1 rom for the nvidia shield TV.
With this rom wifi for the original remote is disabled.
Therefore I'm looking for a replacement which should be quite small like the original one.
Could someone suggest one which I can use together with Plex. I know I can use DroidMote but I don't have an Android mobile phone (I'm using iPhone 5s).
An IR-keyboard is working but it's to big which I have.
So I someone can suggest one it would be grateful. Or does anybody know how I can get an Apple remote working with Android 5.1?
Thanks in advance
Huberer
After some searching I found a suggestion about using an Amazon Fire TV Stick remote. There's also a youtube video which shows how to set up. Now I made my decision and bought this remote.
Just for info.
If someone is interested. Here is the youtube-video which I mentioned before.
Thanks for the video link mate.
You're welcome. Got my remote yesterday and installed it within seconds. Works perfect.

Tv box rom for i9505

Hello, im wondering if anyone can point me in a direction of what I would like to do.
I have a Galaxy S4 GT-i9505 with broken touch which is currently set up with custom rom and root and various apks, pkugged in to my tv in the bedroom via mhl. This works extremely well as is a quad core phone I get much better performance than I do with the Amazon fire stick.
Now the apps ive used along with the custom rom basically put the screen to sleep and allow me to watch Netflix/Kodi very well, without any battery drain.
Im using various apps to control this and alter screen orientation when needed, using a fire tv Bluetooth controller.
Now this set up doesnt come without problems, which ill not go into in length but point out the main issues id either like to be fixed or gone with a different rom.
First, is there any android tv box/stick rom that is compatable with i9505? Even like a fire tv port or similar?
If not is there any way I can get the TV type apps to recognise fully the Bluetooth fire tv remote im using?
Is there anyway to make the apps im using run as if they were on an android tv box/stick?
I realise this is quite a strange setup/request but id like to know if anyone has any ideas on the topic.
1 thing to know, the rom im using has power options to draw more ma while plugged into mhl (700ma), this stops the battery drain.
Thanks for any pointers/advice in advance.
