Outdoor visibility (max brightness) - Huawei Mate 10 Real Life Review

Rate this thread to express how well you can see the Huawei Mate 10's display outdoors. In case you've been playing Minecraft for 18 months straight, you might not known how to get outside anymore. Well, find the door and walk through it. A higher rating indicates that it has very high maximum brightness and thus fantastic outdoor visibility in direct sunlight.

I live in Gran Canaria(which is a sunny place next to the Sahara desert) and I can see my Mate 10 (non-pro) very good, I see it better than I saw my old P9 and better than I see my girlfriends Galaxy S8 in full sunlight.

spectacular

I would give it a 4.5/5 on outdoor brightness. The only reason I don't think it deserves full points is because the plastic screen causes glares in the sun.
I would give it a 3.5/4. It might just be me our the screen protector. I still have to move to shade even at different angles. Maybe there is a trick.
3, in bright sunlight, I have to work really hard to see on screen images.

outdoors display has improved alot compared to other Honor devices.
But is it easily viewable in harsh sun? This is an essential point for me
It depend of screen manufacturer. My friend's honor 10 is ok. Myne is unviewable under sun.. I'm disapointed
it's far from great, it's OK, but for sure I've seen much brighter displays
No good visibility with outdoor light. Almost can't see the screen when using it as a GPS in my car.
Lot worse with EMUI10?
I have the feeling the phone has became unusable outdoor when the weather is very sunny. Am I the only one?

Sunlight legibility is alright. Screen goes up to 500 nits (nearly) and it's visible but if you're under direct sunlight, you're gonna have issues with seeing the screen.

Great for almost any situation, but the issue starts when you're on situation with high light, especially outside and under the sun. Even the brightness is full, it seems still darker and a bit unclear.

I've owned this phone for about two days and have had no problems seeing the display in direct sunlight. Comparing the phone outside to my Note 9, they seem pretty close in brightness under direct sun. The Note 9 is a little brighter. One thing I did notice is that the Note 9 is more color accurate, which is to be expected.

Best I ever had. And I came from Galaxy S10+ and Xperia 1...
so what´s the point of this threat?
It´s all over the net....our display is definetly with very brightest of them all.
In fact...Some tests say it is the top one.
