the VoLTE feature must be implemented on the service operator network to be used, only then you can see the VoLTE icon in status bar, unfortunately currently on operator provides VoLTE in India.

Hi I am using Samsung J7 2016 and is supporting Volte on my current operator.
I also have lenovo K3 note K50a40 but it's only supporting 4g only on the same sim card.
Is the lenovo k3 note really doesn't support Volte.
If you are showing that it is supporting Volte can you tell me which rom u are using with ss.

Which sim you using ??? Reliance Jio?
Have you tested Volte on K3 note with Jio? Does it work over Wifi also or only on LTE?
i am using the stock official lenovo k3 note rom, actually the s3** series roms does not support VoLTE you have to flash the s4** series stock rom to use VoLTE, if you want then here is the link http://goo.gl/gXA87Q
and to access VoLTE goto settings>Notification center>Status Bar Icons> and endble VoLTE
and yes you can use jio VoLTE now.
is this only works with ROW only? just test with vibe rom , no volte setting.
I've flashed s427 rom from needrom.com after that i kept my jio sim in the phone and started, but i didn't find any VoLTE in status bar icons.

How to flase K50a40_S427_160318_ROW to K50a40_S422_160315_ROW.
Pl. provide information.
You can get the s422 ROM from needrom.com
Download the rar file and extract it.
Open the folder>DRV tools>MTK Flash tool>SP flash tool(application)
Now click on scatter loading.
Pick the extracted file>SW>target bin>Android scatter.txt
It shows processing.
After that click on Download button.
Switch off your phone and connect to your PC.
Then it recognizes MT6752 Chip on your phone and the software is flashed automatically.
After successful completion of the flashing a green tick mark appears.
Now disconnect the phone and switch it on.
Your phone turns to look like the newly purchased as, your data is totally wiped.
Go to settings>Notification Center>Status bar icons>VoLTE. Enable it.
******I'm not responsible of any damage to your devices during this process. Do at your own risk.
Read the guidelines of flashing from other websites also.
If you get VoLTE activated, Enjoy!
If not try contacting Hitman.

I have tested this method on my N920G and it worked for me so don't know about other devices
As most of the Indian owners are aware of Jio network Preview offer for samsung flagships phone i.e. unlimited LTE , unlimited VOLTE calls , unlimited sms for 3 months. But there is an issue with the samsung latest update that does not allow most of the users to use Jio sim for making calls using stock dialer also they are getting 4g written on status bar and have to use Jio Join app for making calls and sms.
but i have found a solution to this issue and that is you have to downgrade your firmware to DD3 in order to get VoLte working and then u can update via OTA once it starts working.
All you got to do is flash

Edit - Flashed the firmware and now it shows the "Volte" symbol at the top.. but system prompting for the new upgrade, will i lose it again if i do the OTA upgrade? please confirm.

first of all check your device model by going in settings-about device
if its N920G
then download the firmware i have mentioned above and take backup of all ur files as all the data will get deleted.
then install odin in your pc and in your device go to settings- about device - software info- then click on build number 7 times it will enable developer mode
in developer mode switch on usb debugging and OEM unlocked
then switch off the device and press power home and volume down button it will take you to the download mode and then follow on screen instructions
once you are able to see your device in odin click on ap tab and select the file you downloaded and click on start wait till the process get complete and it will show pass

I don't think so because this firmware is specifically for N920G devices but you can head over to DR.Ketan's thread as he had got it working on his rom

Hope someone can help me with this issue!
I have got an officially unlocked T-mobile Galaxy Note 4 device connected to Reliance Jio 4g network in India. This device supports Band 3, 5 of the Reliance 4g LTE services (Band 3, 5 and 40). Just to let you know, I can manually chose either of the bands (3 or 5) using *#2263#. I can't use *#*#4363#*#* on my phone.
I can use data LTE services on my mobile without any problem.
Under the Call Settings, I have the option to enable "Voice over LTE". (done that) however, I can't get VoLTE calls to work on my phone through native dailer as VoLTE icon doesn't appear on my phone.
I can make calls only if I use Jio4gVoice app but the call quality is poor with the app.
If I use my Jio sim in my Moto G4 plus device, VoLTE icon appears on the phone and I can make calls without any issues.
Before coming here, I have talked to
1. Samsung India - they directed me to Samsung USA or T-mobile
2. Samsung + through the Video chat with Samsung plus representative in the US. They directed me to T-mobile.
3. T-mobile - said device belongs to me and can be used anywhere in the world without any problems. Asked me to talk to Reliance JIO.
4 JIO - they say the phone should support VoLTE and LTE services. They have been taking my requests to resolve the issue and closing them every other day but without any joy. I have told them that under About Device > Status IMS registration status shows Not registered.
So what needs to be done in this scenario? Do I need to replace Tmobile CSC (TMB) with an Indian CSC? Is that even possible? Seek your help and hopefully it can help others. Thanks in advance!

I just followed the following menu:
Settings > Call > Call Settings > Voice over LTE Preferred (turned it on)
I have been seeing this option on my device ever since 5.1.1. Have you updated your device to latest 6.0.1?
Have you been able to get any satisfactory answers about VoLTE on Jio?

Did you create an IMS APN for Jio? Assuming you're already getting 4G data, head to Settings > More Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names. Click + on the top to add APN and enter the exact following stuff (case sensitive):
Name - ims
APN - ims
APN Type - ims
Save and exit. In all probability, you'll not see the new APN in the list of APNs, but VoLTE symbol should come up. Hope it does, otherwise tough luck.

I have noticed one more thing in STATUS i.e., IMS not registered - is that the culprit?
When I put the same JIO sim in another phone (Note 4- N910G - Indian version) it shows IMS registered and both LTE data and VoLTE work flawlessly.
Wondering if IMEI and the t-mobile are the culprits?

It could also be the CSC. You may have to root the device, and flash INS or INU CSC (I'm using INS on the 910G) ace see if that fixes anything...

Can you check in the T-Mobile forum? I'm not sure about the differences between a branded and an unlocked device firmware-wise, don't want you risk a reflash.
i have an at&t galaxy note edge smn915a and even with jio4gvoice installed, i cannot make calls as it says that its unregistered, but this same sim works well in one plus one with jio4gvoice installed, can someone please help with how to get myself work around this to get my phone to be registered to jio?? any help will be really appreciated.

Current CSC : TLS
available CSC : BMC,BMA, CH, ESK, FMC, GLW, KDO,MTB,RWC,TLS,VMC,VTR,XAC

Just Google SIM unlock galaxy s8 there's tons of sites out there. Prices vary from one site to the next. Once you've got your code enter this in dialer app #7465625*638*# you'll get this screen. Doing it this way you won't need another SIM card to unlock your phone just input your code and hit okay

1. Download Shortcut Master from app store (Light version works, but it's a great app, support the dev if you can)
2. Open the app and go to the menu (three dot's top right) and select app explorer
3. Scroll down to IMS Settings and select it.
4. Scroll down to ImsSettingsLauncherActivity (last item on my list) select it and hit launch.
5. Select IMS Service Switch and under that turn on everything on that screen. (For me most things (especially RCS items) were disabled by default, but when I looked at a friends S8+ settings they were all on so I tried that and all works now.)
6. Make video calls!

Video calls were just enabled about a week ago without having to do anything on my end

Unfortunately, i have Bad news of this VoLTE enable instruction.
From latest G955F Oreo (Android 8.0) update, (G950FXXU1CRAP)
Samsung blocked ImsSetting activity like below screenshot. It need to additional system or Super user permission.
I don't understand why Samsung block this activity. Its very useful UI activity for us.
We should find another method for enable Volte related function.
Hey guys, I have finally arrived at a proper result after a long time.
Airtel supports Volte in all areas except J&k. , as mentioned on their website: https://www.airtel.in/volte/
Note: First u need to have an Airtel 4g sim along with a 4g/3g data plan.
So the steps to activate Volte is simple :
1. Go to the airtel Volte website given above.
2. Check for compatible devices
Note: You will be needing any one of the compatible devices listed by Airtel on their page.
3. Now you have to put your sim in the device [ compatible one ] and they reset the network settings of the device.
4. Now restart the phone and wait for some time.
5. After doing so you would get a link from Airtel.
Note: Something similar to this - Please open the following link to get manual instructions for service settings.

I used galaxy j7 which is supported device. I waited for 15 mins and tried rebooting even i didn't get volte or sms mentioned above, Then I called customer care and asked about volte ,then they told your device is volte supported and keep using your device to get volte after 2 mins i got volte in j7 then i switched to z2 plus , volte is working now in z2

ok to solve your issue, all you gotta do is follow this website: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3695877 get the latest version of Indian stock rom guess (zui 2.5) and install that using qfil.
now set it up and enable volte on the device. Then follow the steps given above. Happy Flashing :good:
No matter what I try, wait for similar message as given in #1 or call customer care for volte settings they are just providing me with Instructions on how to enable VoLTE in settings.
I'm not able to get beyond that point i.e., not able to receive the link to enable VoLTE on my sim card.
I didn't got any link but kept my sim in poco f1 for 4hrs it's worked for me....
Now i can able to use volte in Z2 Plus....

which device are you using as an alternative to enable the volte on your sim?

Sorry for the inconvenience u had to face during the process, but happy u got volte

Can any one help me.
Airtel volte is working for me in first sim tray.
Problem is it is working only for 2 mins after that is directly going to 2 g network, then again i need to reboot/ aeroplane mod/ changing network to 3g and then to 4g to get volte. almost all roms are having issue for me. Cana may one please provide solution for thia

Type *#*#4636#*#* in dialpad
Select phone info then in network type select 4g or lte only

Hi, thanks for your help.
It is working, but after changing to LTE, I unable to call to anyone / unable to receive calls.

You are not getting volte that's y
Put sim in sim1 slot

Sim is slot1 only.
I have followed what you have said, I have kept LTE only in phone info after that I am getting volte with out any issue.
Now issue is after changing phone info to LTE I am unable call / receive calls

Volte is lost
You will have to qfil stock if volte is lost
