Help! Cant download or install any new languages for samsung keyboard. - Samsung Galaxy Note FE Questions & Answers

So, everything started when I accidently tapped on clear data on "samsung keyboard" package using bk package disabler, and now when I enter the "manage input languages" tab in the samsung keyboards settings, in the "available languages" sub tab is all blank and doesnt give me an option on installing a new language for the keyboard, which is a problem since I actually use the spanish one.
I have tried everything that I could think of, which includes:
Clearing cache and storage data on both the samsung keyboard and samsung neuronal keyboard.
Reset all settings
Wiping out cache
Reset network settings
Factory reset
All with no avail.
Any help would be extremely appreciated!
My phone model is SM-N935S

Backup your phone with smart switch and use Odin to flash the correct STOCK firmware (you won't trip knox) this should reset it then restore your data with smart switch

S voice app not working because I might have deleted some of the wrong bloatwate

I got this iron man of a phone yesterday and rooted yesterday. I noticed a lot of bloat so I uninstalled a bunch of it. Now my s voice doesn't work(it forced closed when I asked a question) so what apps affect it. What should I not have deleted? And where can I get it back?
I don't know what I deleted that did it because I deleted a bunch of stuff that looked useless.
Thanks
Joe
Might be the ChatOn.
To get it back, restore to factory via Kies or ODIN.
I removed chat on but s voice still works. Did you remove Samsung apps?
Yeah I think I took some out... gonna just factory reset -.-
S Voice doesn't work at all, even after a reset.
I didn't uninstall anything, but after I rooted, S-Voice quit working. It just crashes every time I try to use it.
I tried factory reset twice, and hard reset twice (vol-up + home + pwr), with the exact same result.
It is so bad, that after the reset, when the software asks what language do you want to setup the phone, text-to-speech quits before you can even hit next.
I tried changing the default tts from Samsung to Google, but I got the same result.
Anybody with any ideas???

Yes, sorry, but you should restore back to Factory using Odin. But just in case you don't know, doing this won't reset your settings and apps, so feel free to restore back as soon as you have weird issues or errors.

**** if you didn't uninstall anything, it might be the root that caused stuff to not work then. That is the same problem that I had, except I did uninstall a bunch of stuff.
*EDIT* I have confirmed that it is in fact the root that makes S voice not work. I restored to factory using my firmware from this site

And now it works fine that I do not have root.

Works perfectly, was having the same problem after recent root.
You can set them back to system apps after you have reset.
Now I just need to get my default home launcher to actually launch when I reset the phone.
"You can set them back to system apps after you have reset."
I noticed on my phone, if S VOICE is a user app, Double Clicking Home key works once to start S Voice but if I go to messaging or maps or any other application, double click does not bring me back to S VOICE.
I reverted S VOICE back to system app and double click works as advertised again

Phone not operating, need urgent help!

When my phone (i9505) is on, all I get is :
"Unfortunately, Nfc service has stopped."
Once in a while I get:
"Unfortunately, Samsung Link has stopped."
And sometimes I get:
"Process system isn't responding. Do you want to close it?"
And this causes my phone to be unusuable. It's just stuck and I keep getting these messages, being able to actually use the phone for a few seconds every minute. I had removed those apps with Titanium Backup and now Restored them, and this is occuring.
thanks.
I would do a factory reset. Try to see what happens after. If it works, try to reinstall apps with TB. if after that you have again problems, it means something is corrupted and you have to install all apps manually.
Maybe before that you can try wipe cache and wide dalvik from recovery... see if that helps.

What does the following mean when I want to factory reset:
-The key for decrypting fils on the SD card will be erased (You cannot use files on the SD card after a factory data reset)
??
Ok I'm in desperate need of help. I did a factory reset and as soon as the first screen loaded, I keep getting the NFC error and other errors, just this time in a language I don't even understand. I'm at the language choosing screen and keep getting those cursed errors.

Download a firmware and flash it using odin
Once flashed just reset the device all done and for firmware use my signature link.
Or Sammobile.com
.
Since there is no stock firmware for my country (Israel), is there anything else I can do? Perhaps any way to deal with the NFC by reinstalling any of the services?

[Q] Weird, weird issue - Home button/notifications panel don't work

To preface,
I'm running an AT&T LG G2 rooted (with a couple of Xposed modules). I'm running 4.2.2
Today, I rebooted my phone after updating some apps from the play store, and then all hell broke loose. Here's a list of what went wrong
1) ALL of my settings were reset. Sound settings, call settings, screen on settings, etc. EVERYTHING.
2) My home button doesn't work. It lights up - it knows I pressed it, but it doesn't send me to the launcher. I have the home button programmed through Nova Launcher to open my voice search when I'm on the home screen - that doesn't work either.
3) My notifications panel stays empty - nothing shows up. On top of that, the little "gear" icon that should take me to settings doesn't work. There's a gear setting above that for sound that DOES work.
4) When I go to "About Phone", my phone name was reset to "G2".
4) Here's the kicker - When I go to "About Phone", the "Software Update" button has disappeared. What the hell happened?
If anybody can solve this issue, I have a small bitcoin prize for you...
Edit: Noticed something new. I went into Titanium Backup and it gave me a notification that my "Device ID" was changed. It states that this commonly occurs after a factory reset or ROM change? Here's the thing - I've never factory resetted my phone or even installed a recovery for that matter.
Notice #2: Volume keys don't respond. Although changing volume manually through the settings does work.
Quick note: I changed a value in settings.db using SQLite manager. I tried changing "tether_entitlement_check_state" to 0. And then I exported the DB and saved it. Would that have caused an issue?
well all hell really did break loose here, have you tried entering download mode and flash back to stock(I'm pretty sure this isn't you want to do) but it might be the only thing to do

Interesting. Thanks for the link. I wonder, other than hiding the "root" flags, how is this different from performing a factory reset? I would be opting to restore 4.2.2, not Kit Kat.

well tis is different to a factory reset as in it makes everything the way it used to be like if you were just powering on your phone for the first time while with a factory reset- if you have lets say deleted bloat and modified anything in the /system or other areas they are gone forever, the factory reset is more like a wipe your phone and start again(sometimes if you are rooted it remains rooted just without the su app)

I'm pretty sure it does but I have always had doubts about that(I usually always wipe with custom recovery so I don't remember when was the last time I used factory reset option, plus I upload a most of my backups into onedrive/goole drive/dropbox) also using the flash to stock method will wipe everything from the phone like I said its like powering it on for the first time just in case you were wondering

Okay, so here's my plan. I'm currently ADB pulling my entire SD card (with the titanium backup contents) onto my laptop. I plan to factory reset (the default android one that's in the settings). If that doesn't work, I will use the other flash-to-stock method.
Once I'm done, I plan to use Titanium backup to restore everything including settings. Here's my question:
When I'm restoring everything, will it be 1-click? In the past when I had other phones, the only time I restored TB was when I flashed different ROMs, so it caused havoc with my settings. Since I'm keeping the stock-ROM software, will I be able to 1-click "Restore" and have everything be how it used to be (Except for the Xposed Modules of course) ?
Also...I really don't like how MTP hides the Titanium Backup folder...

Referring to TB, you can set it to restore your backups with 1 click through "batch mode", but I believe you need to have the paid version.
Anyway, everything's fixed! I actually just put a recovery on it, and then deleted data and cache. That way my internal sd card didn't get wiped.
And I did a little more searching, it seems like modifying the sqlite database when you try to remove AT&T's tethering check causes the weird issue. I wonder if it's a secret backdoor program that makes your phone unusable...

Google Keyboard (Gboard) Disappears

I'm not sure what happened, but my Google Keyboard seems to have disappeared. Google Keyboard is not showing as an option under "Keyboard & input methods". I have Flesky and Swiftkey, so I'm getting by, but I don't know how to get it working. Gboard shows under Apps, and I've tried clearing cache, clearing data, force stop, and uninstall/reinstall, but it still doesn't appear as an option to use as a keyboard. How can I rectify this? Thanks in advance to anyone who has a solution.

Google keyboard is replaced by Gboard but I think you already knew that. Also if you are on a custom ROM flash Gapps again. Gboard will appear on input options. If not maybe you have factory reset or wait for the app to be updated again .
PS did you reboot after clearing cache?

Thanks for the reply. I'm not rooted and therefore don't have a custom ROM, just the one that came with the device, so therefore I can't really flash anything. I went into recovery mode and did a cache wipe there, which, of course, requires reboot, to no avail. I'll wait to see if an update comes out soon and will live with 3rd party keyboards in the meantime. For what it's worth, I've included screen shots showing that Gboard is showing as an app but is not showing as an available keyboard. When I click "Current Keyboard", my only options are Flesky and Swiftkey.
The reply is appreciated.

Actually, in your second screenshot, if you tap on "Current Keyboard" there will be a button to choose keyboard. If you press that, it will bring you to the screen where you can enable/disable keyboards. That's probably why Gboard was hidden.

No worries! They changed the menu structure in Nougat so it's more intuitive now.
Probably off topic but does anyone else not like the update they did to the keyboard? No way to remove that search menu row? I have never used the suggestions and wished I could remove it.

Hey everyone.
Lastnight I installed, an android 7.0 custom rom to my tab pro 10.1. I used TWRP to flash install the ROM when it installed it automatically rebooted my device before I could go on to Gapps and install them with the the ROM. So when the ROM loaded up I connected to my hub (using the keyboards) then had a look at the new OS and the wife had a look out of interest with me and everything was working well in fact it was quicker than it was when we got it brand new.
Then playtime over rebooted back into TWRP and flashed Gapps. Then it rebooted again. When it finally loaded back in I was met with a loading screen saying Android is Starting which wouldn't go away but it asked me to sign back on to the Hub so went to do this on problem was.....no Keyboard.....so I managed to get into my setting through quick menu settings and find input settings and there is no keyboard installed to the device...it asked me to add one but I can't because I can't type and even if I could the android is starting message is still going.
Please help I am new to this and I want to learn all this type of thing but I am completely puzzled on what to do. I tried clear chase and data and even tried factory reset.....tried installing gapps on twice (before the factory reset) and nothing was working.
I am tough to use odin to flash it back to standard rom and start again but I could do with some pointers with what i have done wrong.
Thanks people

You may wish to ask over in the Galaxy Tab Pro forums at https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-pro-12-10-8 - you've somehow wandered into the Moto G4 forums
But as a very general suggestion - sounds like your GApps isn't happy with your custom ROM. You may have to clean flash your custom ROM again and verify that the GApps you're flashing is suitable for your device/custom ROM.
I agree with you I have just download the same rom and a stock gapps and I had the same message and again with no keyboard.....agian. Difference this time I haven't rushed to do a factory reset and gone back and reflashed the android 7.0 rom and I am back working again with keyboard but no google apps.
Is there a way of installing them a different way, only 2 google apps I use is play store and gmail. I have tried installing a google play store and play services apk but doesn't work. It goes to load and then just stops.....feels like I need a list of apps to get them going.
Hope someone can help
I worked out my problem with Gapps, "android is starting messages" and no keyboard.
1. I needed to wipe my cache, data and davarlik (whatever it says....looks like darlik to me...lol) before and after.
2. Like fella before said my ROM didn't like the Gapps package I had downloaded, so everytime I had the android message I went back on to TWRP and restored back to the orginal point where the lineage ROM worked, then went back on to the net and installed the next Gapps package and repeated till I found a package that worked......that package was the "Micro" package.
Any google apps I was missing I simply just downloaded them via the playstore after.
I realise this is a moto G forum but I find that sometimes you need to go other places to find answers and I had originally looked in the samsung Tab Pro 10.1 forum section and couldn't find anything similar to my problem this fella at the beginning of the thread was the closest to my problem I could fine.
Hope this helps

S8+ Android Pie update lost after factory reset?

Hey guys! So I recently got the option to update to android pie, now since I have the phone for 1.5 years unrooted and it started to be a little slow i decided to factory reset it before updating, now after actually doing the reset it does not show the update anymore and keeps showing me the phone software is up to date, any suggestions? thanks!
Images attached.
Strange, I've never seen anything like it, but you can flash rom using odin.

Assume you've tried to manually check for updates right?
If that does not work go to your apps, turn on show system apps, now find them "Google services framework" app and clear data, then immediately reboot.

By manually I just meant tapping the update manually button.
Can you use the emergency recovery option in SmartSwitch? Maybe it will reflash current or part of rom or at least reset a system version flag (that maybe factory reset doesn't). I guessing here, never had to use it, but if it was me I'd give it a try.
Only other ways I know would be to flash with Odin, or via recovery or use ADB (obviously make sure you have the correct file for your phone region, provider etc research if you are not familiar with doing this)
