Pebble Smartwatch disconnects since OTA update Huawei P10 Plus - Huawei P10 Plus Questions & Answers

I received an OTA update the other week for my L09 turned L29 and since then my Pebble Time Steel won't stay connected very long. My other bluetooth devices Like my Mi Band and bluetooth headset stay connected throughout. I'm not sure what the OTA updated from but it has updated to B162, are there known issues for this build? OTA hasn't offered me a newer build yet so if there's one available I could go manually looking for it but I'd hate to go to that hassle to find the problem hasn't been fixed.

Hi,
Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I'm experiencing the same problem, on my Mate 10 pro. It has the same firmware version, it seems.
Cheers!

Going through hell with Huawei Honor Band Zero

Not with the watch/band itself, but trying to pair it with my current smartphone.
I'm currently using an Elephone P8000 phone. I'm quite happy with it, but now I'm starting to hate it a bit. Last week I received a brand new Huawei Honor Band Zero, a new entry level smartwatch/sports band from the Chinese manufacturer.
The watch pairs in seconds with my prior smartphone, a Xiaomi Redmi 1s, and thanks to that I know it is working, but not with the phone I need it to. First I thought that maybe Huawei Wear, the app used to get data from the watch and set it up lacked support for it, since it's quite new, but today I have recieved an update from Google Play Store and, even if the app added a lot more functionality to users of Honor Band Zero, it's still not working with my P8000.
In fact, I was able to pair them once last week, after trying almost 50 times within a 48 hr. period. But then, the first time I got too far from the phone while wearing the watch, it lost connection and I haven't been able to pair them again.
I've tried everything: latest firmware from Elephone, apps which (falsely) claim to improve Bluetooth, adding the watch as a Smart Lock trusted device, etc. and nothing works. I can pair with the Redmi 1s every time I try, but it always fails with the P8000.
I've noticed that when I turn BT on the Redmi 1s and it pairs with the watch, I can see the watch exposes an input device profile, but that doesn't ever appear on the P8000, so I guess that should give me a clue, but in fact I'm clueless right now. And I like the damn watch and don't want to return it.
Any ideas?
Have you tried wiping the cache/data in the Bluetooth app on the phone... Go to app manager, Bluetooth and wipe. This worked for me with my Sony smartband talk. Just an idea

Yes, I also tried that, and I uninstalled and installed the huawei app too. Nothing helps. Now I'm going to flash the latest phone firmware and check again. Fingers crossed.
Did you tried other roms? I have one p8000 running eragon rom.. I just dont have that device to test on it

I have already tried Eragon 5.5, 5.6 and 5.8. Now I'm on latest stock rom from 11/05, and it doesn't work with any of them. I haven't tried the FlyMe rom yet, since I didn't want to loose the fingerprint sensor functionality.
Still no luck. I've updated Huawei Wear app to the latest version, as well as phone firmware, and nothing seems to work. As I previously said, about two or three weeksago I managed to pair the phone and watch once, but I'm afraid I was just extremely lucky, since that hasn't ever happened again.
Compatability:
It supports Android 4.4.4 / iOS 7.0 or above system. how about your phone?

The phone runs on Android 5.1.1 with Bluetooth 4.0, so it should be supported. And, in fact, it did work once, but just that one and only time.

maybe there are two methods you can try,
1. Reset the watch. If you use it to connect with other phones, reset maybe a nice method to solve this problem.
2. Firmware Upgrade. Huawei should have offer the Firmware.

1. I've already tried resetting the watch several times, both soft and hard reset, and every time it will connect flawlessly with the Xiaomi phone, but not with Elephone P8000.
2. I check everyday for firmware updates when I pair it with the Xiaomi Redmi 1s, since the Huawei Wear app can do it, but there hasn't been any update yet.
Thanks for the suggestions. Now I can only wait for a solution from Elephone or Huawei. I've written to both companies support service email addresses, but I haven't received any answer yet, which is quite frustrating.

yeah. Smart watches get troubles quite a lot.
Mission complete. I can't blame the smartphone this time, but the watch. Yesterday I paired it with my old phone and a firmware update for the watch popped up. Among other things I could see in the changelog that they claimed they had improved the connection algorithm in order to be able to connect to more devices. I applied the update and now the watch and the Elephone P8000 are working together without trouble, and every time I get far from the phone and the watch looses connection, it connects automatically the next time they get close eough.
Hi just to ask i can connect the Honor Band Zero with my phone, it works well very well.
But i can't make it Trusted Device in Smart Unlock. Any idea?
it shows other devices but not this watch in the setting menu.
Device Info:
Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 LTE (S7275R) - CyanogenMod 13
Me 2 I have huawei p7 and honor band zero. Why can't I use smart unlock with my phone? Find it ridiculous!

Updating through Firmware Finder but No Badges for all apps! & slow wifi connection
I received my 32GB Huawei Mediapad M3 from Amazon USA and because of no updates available, I used firmware finder and sent the 2.49GB firmware (the middle one) to my updater, then I applied the top one skipping the 2nd one with the 656MB (thinking that it's the same version as the 3rd one).
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1JBWb7LffXYm5I7mpSv54NIrXzWYHD0ET
Am I fine with what I did? or I should install that second update?
Another remark is that I can't see all app badge notifications like FB, Pages Manager...etc but I can see it for some apps only which is weird (plz see screenshot below)

The 3rd issue which annoys me a lot is the very slow wifi connection. I'm quite sure my router is innocent because my 4 year old phone (LG G2) is having my full connection speed (which is about 14 Mbps) but my tablet is just taking only up till 2 or 3 Mbps! (I used speedtest). Is it because I'm using non-official ROM or something? Can I get a link - with instructions - on how to download the latest official ROM?

What vers did you get to begin with? Was it C128B005?
What update method did you use? The DNS, or the proxy or SD card?
Is your bluetooth working? Do you have all the apps that were there when you first got it?
I think the one you used is the full update, and the others are incremental updates.
You used the B351 update to get from B350 to B351. If you wanted to use the B350 incremental update, I'm not sure what version it would update from.
Did you try to get updates from the HiSuite PC program?

I used Firmware Finder and I sent my update to the updater.
Bluetooth and GPS are turned off.
I don't know the original build that came with the tablet fresh out of the box but it was the old Marshmallow with EMUI 4.x.
I indeed used the bigger full update (2.5GB) first and then updated to build B351 (which was around 70MB)
I'm downloading the HiSuite PC Program right now and I'll check what I can do with it because I'm not happy with the WIFI performance at all at the moment. When I downloaded the firmware using the proxy method, the whole update downloaded very quickly using the same exact router so I'm quite sure the updates with the Wifi on my tablet are not playing well together.
Updates:
I don't know what happened all of a sudden but the wifi speed return back to the normal speed I'm used to.
HiSuite doesn't show any recent updates as it tells me I have the latest.
I tried to recover my tablet and start fresh but HiSuite doesnt' support my tablet!
@magoooood I am also on same boat. to make things worts, my keyboard also doesn't show up.
Did you find any way to fix your problem? It might apply for me too....

I have no keyboard problems. I still have no luck with badges missing from some apps like fb. I'm not sure if this is because I'm using a Wi-Fi tablet only or not.

the USA version of the M3 for some reason does NOT enable the 5GHZ wifi band, only the 2.4GHZ, so thats why wifi is slower on this device than it might be on your other 5GHZ enabled devices..hopefully, this gets fixed some day..
I have a US WiFi only tablet that would barely get 25mb down and my pixel next to it would get 50mb. I have FiOS internet and I switched to there newest router (quantum gateway) the other day and I now get 50mb down. I only ever use 2.4ghz on all my devices. There was something about that other router this tablet just didn't like. Wonder if this is the issue others are having, maybe it just doesn't like certain routers.

Wifi problem with bluetooth on! (P8 Lite ALE-L21)

I have my P8 Lite (2015) updated with original B634, only with bootloade unlocked.
The mobile phone is guaranteed by Huawei until 10/22/2019 (marketing bid in October 2017).
However, in recent days, I'm having difficulties in the speed of wifi (does not exceed 10k / s) when I have the bluetooth activated (for example when I arrive at my house and came with mobile phone connected to the bluetooth of the car).
If I turn off the bluetooth the speed of the wifi normalizes immediately!
Is it a software problem and a reset resolves or will it be a hardware problem to be solved under warranty?
Thank you for your opinion.
Has anyone had this problem?
I have the same problem in 2 phones... I think is hardware problem and is not fixable!
Hello Marcosoft, I have the same problem with wifi when BT is turned on. I've two Huawei P8 Lite ALE21 (2016) and they both have the exact same problem.
I first noticed this issue in December 2017. I’ve tried all kinds of resets but none of them solves this problem.
I’ve send one phone to the service centre for repair , it came back with a new mother board but still the same issue. Send it for the second time to the repair centre , again a board swap , still the same problem. Send it for the third time , today I got it back without a repair , they can’t find any issue , but the issue is still there.
So , at this point I can’t tell you if this is a hardware or a software problem. The only thing I know is that I don’t find a solution for it.

Amazing!!!
I taught that this was a hardware problem, because I had already tested the latest versions of the stock rom (6.0) and all had this problem of wifi speed with bluetooth on (<10k/s or B/s)!
I decided to go back to lollipop!
- ALE-L21_C900B500_Firmware_general_Android5.0_EMUI 3.1_Portuguese
After...
- Huawei_P8 Lite_Dual_Firmware_ALE-L21_Android 5.0_EMUI 3.1_C432B204_West European_Channel-Others
And to my amazement the wifi works at 100% with the bluetooth turned on!!!
Not a hardware problem!
I am 24 hours and without any problem and I have already done several tests!
Tomorrow, I will do the update that is recommend (ALE-L21C432B574 - Android 6.0) and then report here if the problem returns!

I'm really curious about the tests that you will run.
I'm using a costum ROM using android 7.1.2 and I also have the problem .... It is really bad to rollback to android 5 to fix this problem.
Is Huawei aware of this problem on the 6.0 versions?
Deleted.
NEW SOLUTION!
I found the reason for the Wi-Fi problem too slow (or stopping) when Bluetooth is turned on!
The problem is "Your location" from Google Play Services!!!
Until version 11.6.73 (14-09-2017) there is no problem, but from that version, more precisely 11.7.41 (05-10-2017), until today (12.8.74), and in the next versions (13.2 .77 beta), the problem persists.
Will Google solve the problem?
I do not know.
But to solve the problem I found this solution:
Disable GPS-Then go to Settings-Apps-Google Play services-Permissions-Your Location-Location Settings-Disable Access to my location.
From there, you may already have Bluetooth enabled and Wi-Fi will work properly.
However, if you also activate GPS (wf + bt + gps), the Wi-Fi will be very slow again, until you deactivate the GPS again.
It seems that some equipment does not have this problem! If so, good for them, but for those who have this problem, the real reason is already found, and until they solve it (if they solve), we have this solution.
I'm grateful that you also report this error to Google, to see if they fix it.
It does improve the performance just a little, I have a Huaweii Y6 II and when I'm watching a video on youtube, the video is still buffering, but before that solution you just give me, it wouldn't load at all.

H918 Oreo Wi-Fi

So after updating to oreo my wifi is bugged out. I've tried everything and since it was via OTA (no root/no twrp). Every time I press on the wifi icon is just disables itself. Can someone help me ?
Since the H918 Oreo update does not change the ARB value - it's still ARB1 from what I've been reading - that means you can (if you feel you must) roll back to 10p or 10s or whatever the latest KDZ available is and start over until something might be discussed and potentially resolved.
The H918 that I just a few days ago has a Wi-Fi issue where it disconnects quite frequently, sometimes once a minute for several minutes in a row, sometimes every 10-20 minutes and I cannot figure out why it's doing that. I do own an LG Stylo 2 Plus and that phone has a similar issue so I have to consider it could be a problem with the cable modem/router/AP that I have (Hitron unit from my cable provider, I don't like it and might switch it out).
With two different LG devices both having almost the same exact issue with Wi-Fi (I use 11ac in the 5 GHz band exclusively since I live in an apartment building where the other residents almost always use 2.4 GHz and it's just too crowded in that band) I can't say what's causing it, and yes it does seem to happen with other Wi-Fi connections at various locations when I'm not at home too.
Oh well, maybe it's just some issue with LG devices as I was saying. I'm about to install the Oreo update myself, doing a clean wipe back of 10u then straight to the Oreo update and we'll see what happens. I saw some other people saying they had issues with Wi-Fi after this Oreo update so there could be an issue with some devices.
Mine is from November 2016 so I'm beginning to wonder if the original production runs have some issues with hardware problems, it's a consideration too.
I haven't noticed any WiFi issues on my Oreo updated T-Mobile V20. My router is the ASUS RT-AC68U (it was previously the T-mobile router version, but I updated it to the latest ASUS version).

Please let me know how you're update goes. I've found rolling back brings the wifi back. When updating the mac address and ip is either unavailable or 02.000.000.000
Not sure if this will help but iam on nougat and I've always had isaues with 5ghz signal, 2.4 has been rock solid but yeah the 5ghz would always disconnect at different times.
One solution i read over a year ago was the smart settings was the cause to all the 5ghz problems.
Well after the update, my Wi-Fi still has the disconnect issue and it's really pissing me off because I can't figure out what's causing it. Of course, I'm leaning towards this Hitron cable modem/router/AP being the cause so I'll just have to call my cable company and tell 'em I want it swapped out for some other brand of device I guess.
Not digging the overall Oreo interface that LG has created but that's another thread I suppose.

Problem with 4G and WiFi on Android Pie

Hi everyone. I'm on Pixel Experience CAF. Sometimes 4g network is very slow and I need to wait a lot in order to load a web page or when i try to install an app from play store it download ~100kb/sec. Other times it is very fast (100kb/s Vs ~6mb/s). I flashed latest firmware (June). I mention have this problem since upgraded to Android Pie (9.0). With Oreo everything was working fine.
I have another issue with WiFi. I have a Xiaomi Mi Band 3 so I need bluetooth enabled. I noticed that when BT is active WiFi is very slow. Instead, it is very fast when BT is disabled. Is there a solution for this problem? P.S. I don't know if this issue was even in Oreo.
