[Stock Restore] [Sprint] Odin Files QH7, QI5, QJB, QK3, QL9, RA6, RB4 - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Guides, News, & Discu

This is the STOCK ODIN TAR IMAGES for the SPRINT NOTE 8
This was pulled from Samsung Mobile's site
As we all know their site takes hours and hours to get the download complete if you aren't a paid member..
I've endured the pain for all of you so you can have a faster mirror.
This would need to be flashed to the device in download mode using the latest Odin.
Latest Odin Version 3.12.7 : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=673368273298983736
As updates roll out ill do my best to DL and host these files on AFH. If you want to provide me with a mirror of a newer version ill post on here as long as its hosted on a reputable site and isn't ad filled junk or requiring 100 steps to get it to DL!
And as always, I can not be held liable for the damage or malfunction of your device using these files, you proceed at your own risk and remove my liability by continuing to the downloads portion of this post!
And remember please hit the Thanks Button to show activity on the post as well as keep me happy!

LMK if there is anything else that may be needed!
Please dont ask to have me upload single files, the way AFH is setup this would take hours and hours, just DL the entire zip and have at it!

Hahaha! the phones not even in our hands yet. Incredible, good job mate.

I have mine.its awesome.

Yeah there are a few floating around from first in pre-orders. I don't even have mine yet
Tomorrow should be my delivery day from Samsung. I almost wish I got a unlocked variant but I wanted sprints wifi calling and calling plus features.

@Team DevDigitel Exact same reasons I went with Sprint version over unlocked. Gave you thanks in OP but just wanted to say THANKS again for the recovery software. You have definitely saved a ton of time for many of us.

Thanks for the love guys been a long journey with the lg v20. I'm super stoked to be back on the Samsung side. If only a unlocked bootloader would show up magically then I'd be completed again.

Snagged the file from Sammobile a few days back, and yeah, it took forever to d/l. Thanks for sharing though. Good to see the Team in here!!

deffinatley excited to be working with you guys on this device. Me and a few others who are transitioning from the lgv20 have grouped together to start working for the future of our device. A lot of talented guys are here getting things sorted and ready for development. We really could use a bootloader leak but i doubt that will happen without a LARGE payment to a unknown donor to provide this, otherwise we will be looking like the s8/s8+

Thank you Samsung!

possibly would work, the last one hit 2000$ before it was acheived. I just hate putting a price to these things and the device may only be in hand for a lot of users 12months before taking the next gen models. Just kinda sucks we dont have access to out devices out of the box for these things, especially since i have mine fully paid off already!
A bounty thread may be in order to see if we can get someone to take notice. We really need someone inside Samsung to leak

Got mine 3 days ago, coming from the Note4 it's definitely an improvement. Gotta say I'm impressed, Bixby is pretty sweet too...lol. Hopefully root will come along, but I'm not holding my breath.

Thanks I just got my T-Mobile N950USQU1AQH7

this isnt a dump, they can be download from samsungmobile.com
the download of the 3.6 gb at free speed is roughly 12 hours lol

I just downloaded the 3.46gb zip file in 7 minutes using this app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=samsungupdate.com
We used to use it in the Note4 forum to dl Sprint Note7 ROM for the UN7 ROM port...BEFORE sammobile even had it...lol!

if we wanted the bloatware free version would we just flash the xas software?

[ROM]6/23/2013StockFACTORY IMAGE FOR N5110; N5110MD1,N5110UEEMF1,UEEMF2 FULL FIRMWARE

These are links to factory images that I have pulled from different sources and have posted here for you guys to use to to restore your tablets to factory out of the box status they all work. Personally tested. If you have any problems its usually a bad download. So just redownload and you should be okay then. I regularly use these files when I experiment and they all work. I will update the thread when new firmwares are released. The latest was released June the 13th and seems to help with the battery drain issues. Im getting 7 hours screen on time now whereas before I was getting maybe 4.
Those files....ALL OF THEM ARE FOR THE N5110 ONLY. N5110 US VERSION ONLY. MEANING THE WIFI VERSION. SO PLEASE PLEASE DONT FLASH THESE TO ANY OTHER DEVICES. I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR DESTROYED DEVICES. You have been warned.
You will lose custom recovery and root access when you flash these, remember its putting your tablet back to how it was when you bought it. The easiest way to regain root access is to use mskips toolkit. Its a great tool and works 100 percent of the time. Hes a highly skilled developer and I stand by everything he puts out so check out his thread in original development and download his toolkit. Another benefit of downloading his toolkit is that it contains the ODIN version you will need to flash these files. So check him out. You wont be disappointed.
Good luck and happy flashing!
Below is a small 6 megabyte file update.zip pushed to United States n5110 devices this morning.
Must be flashed completely stock. This brings your firmware to ueemf2.
REMEMBER THIS IS A PATCH OTA FILE I GRABBED FROM MY DEVICE WHEN IT WAS PUSHED OUT TO MY US N5110. Gotta be completely stock to flash.
Change log for ueemf2 is
"Stability improvements“
But there does seem to be faster ui. Tell me what you think. Link below.

You can also use Google Drive
Ok I will try now
Edit I'm going to have to try from my home at 5pm its not working from my phone nor tablet. Google drive is a huge space hog by the way over 1gb application wtf!

Never use Dropbox public links for sharing to masses. They will block these after a certain amount of traffic. Instead use the sharing function, which will lead the user to the dropbox site from where you can download as easy as with public links.
Thank you. Looking forward for your post
Does anyone know how to use Google drive to upload. I keep getting but o see nothing happening. Nothing no progress bar nothing
Sent from my GT-N5110 using Tapatalk 2
Just open the browser, and go to Google Drive. Select the file that you want to upload and drop it in the browser. Once it finish to load the file you need to select the file, right click and share it.
Yea but it just hangs at waiting for upload
I know I sound stupid but I've been trying all dn day to get it to upload. Just hangs at waiting to upload. Then sometimes it starts stops and disappears then notification comes up saying I have no more space on my phone which has 8 gb free. This is weird

Newest firmware released and uploaded check OP FOR DOWNLOAD LINKS. hopefully this will help those of you out of a pickle. Remember restoring to factory stock may remove root access and erase data . It will also replace custom recovery with the standard android recovery. So no complaining about lost stuff...
But this will save you if you borked up your nice shiny tablet. Guaranteed.
Yourrrr welcome. Pm me for questions help and concerns. A question not asked is the only stupid question. Oh and " use the search function" replies that are frequently told to new users are not allowed here. Period. Respect all.

Hi, I just received my Note 8 and want to confirm if those original images are for any 5110. Are there many different models or I can just install the newest one.
Thanks,
MCP
Hi! I have just 8 days with my galaxy Note and I have already install civato's rom and that kind of things. So my question is if I can install this firmware to revert all to stock, but my device says: N5110XXBMC9.
So that's what I'm asking!

Probably not. This firmware is for the UNITED STATES version of the galaxy note 8.0. I am not sure if you can or not. You may need to look for a firmware for your country.
Heres a helpful link.
Sammobile.com
Click firmwares fill out the click box forms and it will pull up whatever is available for your country or region. Then youll be able to download the stock firmware for your specific model.

I bought my N5110 in Canada and it came with XXBMC9 stock. I later flashed Civ's custom kernel and Rom which was the US version XXBMD1. Then yesterday I flashed the new UEEMF1 firmware from Beanstown's thread and it's all working great for me.

[Q] razr m kk4.4.2 ROM

hey everyone. i'm a super-NOOB and have no idea what to do with this, so...
how do i post or share the new razr m xt907 KK4.4.2 update
i have the file labeled: "VZW_XT907_4.4.2-KDA20.62-10_1FF.xml.zip" file size is 735MB
i used RSDLite and voila.
system version 182.46.10.xt907.Verizon.en.US
build number KDA20.62-10
i posted over here ht tp:/ /w ww.droidrz r.com/index .php/topic/ 45185-razr-m-kk442-rom/ (with screenshot) and was hoping maybe to find 'Skrilax_CZ'
I'm not sure if you have the lastest FXZ: http://www.verizonwireless.com/dam/support/pdf/system_update/razrm-05-12-14.pdf
Something is rotten in Denmark...

why dont you think i have the latest version?
ill attache some screenshots
edit: btw, figuring out the long tap n the enter key to open the EMOJI took a while
There was reportedly some mess with versioning, but the pdf speaks about 183.46.10.xt907.Verizon.en.US (instead of 182), usually FXZ goes with the higher number.
It's this 2nd version again. The upgrade path is
98.18.94 -> 182.46.10 (KDA20.62-10)
98.30.1 -> 183.46.10 (KDA20.62-10.1)
But it's basically the same firmware.
Are there any of the XMLs online somewhere?
responses
the verizon pdf speaks of both, not one instead of. i remember a previous upgrade also had to system/build numbers based on the phone. 2 of my xt907s both got the same update at the same time but with different build/system numbers.
in addition i heard a rumor that 182 is from the soak test verizon did this past month, while 183 will be the OTA.
nevertheless i want to know if anyone wants it? i want the developers to be able to start working on root and possibly bootloader unlocking
if so, tell me how to get it online, free sharing sites ive looked at that arent linked to my personal accounts wont allow more than 200MB.
any suggestions?
MEGA and DepositFiles allow this file size.
You could also just split it with 7-Zip etc. in 200MB (or whatever) chunks.

This is a good file. Thanks very much for posting it!
Please pardon the scepticism, but these files don't often appear from unknown sources.
There are no getvar lines to be removed nor a userdata partition and no wipe of data in the XML file, so this is an easy restore to stock KK flash.
This is great, thanks guys!
Yes Thank You.

Edit: appears cellzealot has brought it to attention. thanks.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you....
Ok, first off the phone was rooted but lost root with the file, dah yeah I expected that. Phone is going back to verizon, but wanted a good clean stock version to send to them. Their OTA update kept failing, no explanation. This did the trick through rsd lite.
Again, thank you.
The FXZ posted by stras1234 is indeed outdated, correct version is VZW_XT907_4.4.2-KDA20.62-10.1_CFC_1FF.xml.zip alias Blur_Version.183.46.10.XT907.Verizon.en.US. Uploading to sbf.droid-developers.org, along with Razr HD version.
Those will be for the official OTA path. People will be able to use my RSD Script Generator and create a script to flash it and keep their data so that everyone can be on the correct path.

RDF Discussion Thread for Sprint Galaxy S5 (SM-G900P)

Welcome to the RDF spotting thread for the Sprint Variant SGS5 (SM-G900P)
(Galaxy S5 sport is SM-G860P)
From @rwilco12 post
For those of you who don't know what an RDF is... RDF stands for "Resource Description Framework". In non-geek terms an RDF is essentially a specification sheet that details what the finished product will be. In this case the product itself is already out but any time there is a software revision it results in a build number change. Each build number has an associated RDF.
Latest RDF:
The "latest" RDF displays the software version our phones currently have OR it might display the upcoming version that is about to be pushed out OTA:
http://device.sprintpcs.com/Samsung/SM-G900P-SPRINT/latest (listed as OD3, Android 5.0)
to monitor the page automatically for changes, use this extension: Page Monitor or Android app Web Page Monitor
[The RDF link is best viewed in Internet Explorer]
Thanks for the link @garwynn!!
Newest testing build found:
The newest testing build is found by entering the last 3 characters of the software number into this URL followed by .rdf and is indicative of a version being tested by Sprint (rarely the testing builds make it to "latest" and change presumably when bugs are found/squashed and version # then increases)
OG1 http://device.sprintpcs.com/Samsung/SM-G900P-SPRINT/OG1.rdf (Lollipop 5.0) (found 7/31/15)
Samsung website FAQ latest version number page (sometimes has the build numbers up first for the an upcoming OTA) -> http://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00032376/253271/SM-G900PZKASPR

Official announcement for OF6 from Sprint: https://community.sprint.com/baw/thread/185010
Sprint page for software versions -> http://goo.gl/4s4JcT
GOTA link: (coming)
How to install using the GOTA link: (just like receiving the OTA push, will not wipe any user data)
Download the file from above, move to the SD card of your phone
Power down the phone, boot into recovery mode (hold HOME+VOL UP+POWER until the blue type appears at the top of the screen, then release buttons)
Navigate using the volume keys, select using the power key -> move to install update from SD (hit power), navigate to the file you downloaded (hit power)
Wait patiently, reboot the phone if it didn't automatically
(best practice for major updates is to just factory wipe before and after this process so all the cobwebs are cleaned out, at least wipe out the cache for all apps)
How to grab the GOTA link to share: (from Droid-Life posting)
Install the Android SDK, enable USB debugging (does NOT require root), (great video from @qbking77 here) on your computer
When prompted to download an update, immediately plug your phone into that computer (with the SDK installed)
From that computer open a command prompt and type "adb devices" which will start the daemon, then type "adb logcat" and hit enter (information will start spewing from your phone to the command window)
THEN tap the download the update button on your phone, monitor the information from the logcat and find the URL (should start with "android.clients.google.com")
Might be easiest to copy the logcat into a text file and search for it (capture using command: adb logcat -d > logcat.txt) as the information might be too fast and furious on screen to read any of it
Once you have the URL, please post it in this thread so we can put it in the OP
Full OA6 Tarball link:
TARBALL FROM SAMMOBILE
TARBALL MIRROR 1 (FROM RWILCO)
Hey what's a TAR BALL? Is it cancerous? Maybe, but just do this with it instead:
Untar the tar ball and find the zip inside (firmware file) (may already be in zip form if grabbing from Rwilco site)
Best Practice is to wipe your phone in recovery; wipe data/cache/dalvik/system because you might run into problems after flashing (although you don't have to wipe if you are a very defiant person that likes to live dangerously with the potential for app crashes)
Put phone in download mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons, then press up when prompted), then connect phone to computer
Open Odin (on desktop) and place zip file in PDA/AP slot, make sure that re-partition is NOT ticked, hit start. [Reboot if it doesn't reboot automatically. Don't use mobile odin as it won't properly flash the modem and junk]
Now you will be on 100% stock with the 100% stock unrooted ROM and modem
Profit
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also, here's the link for the Source Code from opensource.samsung.com. Usually when that drops, the OTA is released within a couple days:
http://opensource.samsung.com/reception/receptionSub.do?method=sub&sub=F&searchValue=g900p
to monitor the page automatically for changes, use this extension: Page Monitor or Android app Web Page Monitor

One would think wifi calling is on the way, wasn't it already supposed to be here by now?
It's been in the supported applications since initial release but haven't heard if they turned it on yet.
That's assuming too that it requires a software update, could be like the SIM unlock where a signal is sent to the phone.

I really hope that there's a bluetooth fix in this release. It's a specific fix, but they've reportedly been working on it for a while.
Got the wifi calling toggle.... Hopefully it becomes useful soon!

Why do you say that?
I have a feeling this update will be the same update that the International GS5 got a month ago. PLUS (hopefully!!) official support for WiFi calling!

I hope so. That would be great. We should be getting this update soon, then before we know it 4.4.3 will be coming.
NE5 is up on opensource.samsung.com.

Is it running on the phone? Has anyone tried it?
Is this a version without all the Sprint malarky?

Code that is posted there is exactly what it is, source code that needs to be compiled before it can run on a phone. It has all of the sprint information there in the code. So basically when it is posted there, then we know that an OTA will start to push out with code that can run on phones. If you are a talented developer then you can use the code posted on the source code site to make custom ROMs and such, otherwise it is worthless.

Looks like the S4 just had a new software (NG2) drop source for Sprint. Maybe we'll start to catch wind of some new RDFs for the S5? They must be working on one, however I can't find any RDF higher than our current latest NE5.

Anyone know where I can get the latest G930P firmware G930PVPS4APJ2 ?

As of 10/26, Sprint rolled out the latest firmware for G930P (Galaxy S7), G930PVPS4APJ2. I have been searching everywhere since then and it has been 3 days without any luck. Since by mistake I loaded the G930U's API3 with the latest bootloader 4 and I am not able to downgrade to any of the older G930P firmwares. The worst part is that it also destroyed my factory SIM unlock. I want to go back to the G930P firmware and request to have it unlocked again. Someone please help. If this firmware is not yet available for downloading yet, any idea normally how long it takes from the day a firmware is rolled out until it is available on the web for downloading?
Thanks in advance for any help or info.
I'm glad someone posted this. I tried downgrading so I could root my S7 but it failed and now I'm assuming the only way to fix it is to flash stock firmware.
Has anyone had any luck getting the firmware for PJ2?

I can't even update to PH7. It downloads fine, but during the install part (blue screen/android dude) it constantly fails at 32%... I hate to have to flash with Odin, and re-setup my phone (apps, homescreen layout, etc.).
Does anyone know of a link to PH7 that has decent download speeds, like a torrent? Sammobile speeds are so slow.

Search for SamFirm. It's an executable you launch on Windows and search for the firmware for your model and region you need and download it. It's the quickest I have seen so far.
This... I also need. Stuck until I get it. Bahhhhhh I don't like the s7 after 4 days. Didn't realize these updates pushed new bootloader version. Trying to build a ROM here... Dafuq?!?!?! -.-"

Do i have to flash these files in a certain order? or all at once? And, do I use the HOME_CSC or the CSC file?
Edit: **** yeah! I flashed the BT, AP, CP, and HOME_CSC all at once in Odin v3.11.1 and it didn't wipe data, just updated my phone to PH7. I am now updating via OTA to PJ2.

You're supposed to flash all at once... Careful going to PJ2 though. bootloader version changes... And they haven't released flashable firmware for PJ2. I found a workaround flashing some U firmware (PI3) with new bootloader 4. Here's the link i went to. And i might add this is a worst case scenario. There's no going back due to the 7's locked bootloader. Of course this is only if you brick your current PJ2 somehow. Which i managed. Developers at work! Anyhow, wish you luck on PJ2, and i'll start development on it (depending on the nougat drop date) once i get a firmware release. Cheers!

*Long post incoming...
The OTA update to PJ2 went fine, no problems. Currently running smooth. My initial issue was I was previously rooted, and decided to go back to stock. When I went back to stock I flashed the PG1 firmware but it wasn't from Sammobile. I downloaded all the firmware files separately from an XDA post that the root post linked too (big mistake). I then didn't flash them all at the same time, and I don't think I flashed the HOME_CSC file, just the CSC one. It went fine and everything but when PH7 dropped everytime I tried to OTA update to PH7 it would fail at 32% every time during the bluescreen/android guy screen. I'm not sure what's being checked at 32% to why it failed there, but my guess was that the files I flashed did something that was invalid and the updating process wouldn't continue becuase of a validation issue, probably from flashing just CSC file and not HOME_CSC file, just a guess.
After I flashed PH7, I was so happy my data wasn't wiped, and was also happy when PJ2 updated just fine. Though I was bummed, I thought PJ2 was the Nougat update...
You're a life-saver dude! And, thanks for the website you gave me to download the firmware, took like 15min to download a 2.5GB file, compared to 5 hours when downloading from Sammobile and other sites. Thanks a bunch!
I had an S2 and S5 for 2 years each before the S7 and damn were those easy to root and flash ROMs/Mods on. Damn locked bootloader! The one thing I think Samsung fcked up on with this phone. I should have waited for the Google Pixel... I'm with Sprint (obv) and re-newing my contract I get a discount off the phone, and having an unlimited data family plan, plus a discount on my bill for where I work made me stay and renew my contract with Sprint.
What exactly are you working on? A way to unlock the bootloader, an easy way to root (the current way is tedious and laggy), or a ROM? I'm interested.

Glad you got squared away... I'm not really working on much. Just going to Mod a Stock ROM again, to start. I'm probably not the guy who will figure out custom recovery on the phone. lol But I'm going to dive into some documentation on the topic, and get acquainted. That's a far reach, though. I just don't see a lot of support or development for this phone series. So I want to put some stuff out there. Maybe even slim down and automate the rooting process. (Think SkipSoft Android Toolkit)
I don't know. Any ideas or requests are always welcomed.

If you're on the latest (PJ2) stay right where your are. There's no going backwards from there with the release on bootloader 4. You need to wait out the PJ2 firmware release.

OTA and Non-OTA Firmware for N986U and N986U1

See Post #2 and #3 for the Links to the Firmware
ALL of the firmware posted here can be flashed on any N986U/N986U1 Device. The firmware is NOT carrier dependent and is only listed next to some of them in order to have an idea if you might get OTA when you flash it
Understanding Firmware naming:
N986USQU1ATGM
N=Note
986U or F etc, the model of device
SQ, FX etc = CPU and model specific
U,S,E = Update, Security, Engineering, respectively
1,2,3,4,5 etc = bootloader revision (This is important! You cannot go to a previous revision)
A,B,C,D = Android version
T, U = Year (T=2020, U=2021 etc)
A,B,C etc = month (January A - December L)
1 - 9 and then A - Z =build compilation. This basically means how many builds there are in a month. They start at 1 and go to Z
So N986USQU1ATGM would be
N968-U-SQ-U-1-A-T-G-M
N968U (Note 20 Ultra Carrier version), SQ (Snapdragon), U (Update), 1 (Bootloader version), A (Build 10), T (2020), G (July), M (22nd build)
How to enter Download Mode:
Turn off the device.
Connect USB cable to your PC (Leave it disconnected from the phone)
Press and hold down the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons. While they are still pressed, plug in the USB cable into your phone.
The phone will go into download mode press volume up. In Odin you will see that phone is added.
Dirty Flash:
I would only do this if you are having to manually update to the newer firmware and would not do it if you are coming/going to U/U1 or from beta firmware or if you are on an old firmware. I'd also highly recommend doing a back up prior to the doing this
Load these into Odin
BL
AP
CP
HOME_CSC
Do NOT flash CSC or USERDATA, either of these WILL wipe your device
This is a "dirty flash" and these can sometimes cause issues. Keep in mind if things start going sideways and stuff starts not working right, your first step to a solution will be to wipe the device.
Tips on flashing U1 Firmware:
You will have to wipe, can NOT dirty Flash going between U and U1 firmware
Use the patched ODIN linked in post #2 or #3, Odin3_v3.13.3b (They are exactly the same)
Have an active US Carrier SIM installed to get carrier features
If you get your CSC Stuck on XAA/XAA/(Insert your carrier here), and can not get Carrier options back.

Nothing yet, it'll take a bit of time after release for the firmware to start getting pushed out. This 1st one is a July release, so it'll most likely be the end of the month for the 1st round of security updates to start
Yeah sorry that is July build and not sure if that is what device will ship with out of the box. But could still be good to have.

Got mine coming unlocked from Samsung. Dumping att and going to TMB. With att getting more and more anti-unlocked, and the service getting crappy here lately, it's time to switch.

Yep, this will be for the US Carrier versions for the Ultra, might toss the U1 firmware's here too.
I expect Samsung will maintain the way the firmware is loaded. On the N10+ for example, you can flash any of the N10+ firmware regardless of whether is says "TMB or SPR". If there is an SIM installed that is active on a carrier's network, when the firmware is flashed it will detect that network and install the associated carrier features.

The carrier that I work for told me that ATGM is final, but with the way things are right now, it's almost impossible for me to meet up with them to get these devices on latest firmware.
