superb.

Came from my worn xperia z2, damn the new xz1 is fast compared to that!

Came from a 5x. This thing is insanely fast. First week i got 5h+ sot (which is probably the period you use your new phone the most). Audio and call quality are also alot better.
Only drawback is the camera: super slow mo is cool and it is fast but there is no hdr and low light is only passable.
Also: the display will fry your retinas on max brightness.

lags and lacks basic features

On par with other Android phones. But Sony should think like Nokia for manual mode.
Mine is about to be set up. Does anyone know if it has always on display and is there any other way to wake the phone
Software is awful. So 2014. No night mode. No raise to wake or ambient display. Also camera is the worst out there in this price range. Too much grain, too much detail loss, unsharpening everything, oh god...
Those little things makes the software and user experience. For me, xz1 is a failure and as always, sony will improve their next gen phones, and let the others die in shame.
after using It for almost a month, I can say it is fetureless piece of crap and although it is almost all stock it lags like hell. I regret swapping my oneplus 5.

This phone has everything I'm looking for. A fast enough processor to do everything required (SD625) which is very efficient and easy on the battery. IP67 rating is a requirement for me and the front facing fingerprint reader means it works well sitting on a desk. 3.5mm headphone jack also is a nice feature. I set the convenience key to be the flashlight which works very well and better than my previous chop chop implementation which could sometimes activate it when not desired. Waiting on the Oreo update, which is expected to arrive soon, but I'm not missing anything from Oreo, even though my previous phone had it.
Negatives are tough to find. Adaptive brightness implementation is poor but easily remedied by disabling it and using a 3rd party app. Low light photo quality is said to be less than stellar, but it is adequate for my needs, I'm not a professional photographer.

So by the fact there are no user posts in here it would suggest the phone hasn’t been released yet? It was supposed to be released in May but no sign of it, even to pre-order, anywhere.
Release is 15 june here in NL, but for €649 and that's way to high. I can buy a Oppo Reno 10x Zoom for €635 here.
First A80 review is up.

Bought the phone in Malaysia on July 13 with rm2499/ 539 euro. Overall experience is great especially the camera and display. Performance is good too, no sign of lag in game even with battery saver (70% cpu speed) turned on. Phone call need time to get used to since the sound come under display. Battery life can get me through 12 hours on working day with social media, google map, spotify, browsing, selfies, and some gamings. I did turn on medium power saving, bluetooth and GPS the whole time. Will continue to love the phone. Chill!!!
Bought the phone for 400€ in Lithuania and, I gotta say, even though this is one of the least popular devices that Samsung made recently, it is worth every penny. I was interested in getting a device that would go through a day of use, deliver powerful (but not flagship) performance and camera(s) that would make great pictures and, well, it definitely did not disappoint! The 3700mAh battery is not incredibly spacious, but definitely lasts me a day of light/medium use, and I rarely need a charge after entering my doorstep. Performance is very good, did not see the phone lag even once, which is incredible (giving that the public has the opinion that Samsungs always lag), everything feels really smooth. Main camera, the Sony IMX586 sensor, is very capable of taking pictures with great dynamic range, colors and detail. One important mention though - the stock camera app makes somewhat noisy pictures, which is pretty strange, but using the Google Camera port for S10+ on the A80 works flawlessly, and delivers impressive results with almost zero noise and drastically improves low light performance. The ultrawide camera gives great colors and dynamic range, but the detail is quite poor, but it is sufficient for an 8MP sensor. Overall, I thought that I would need to buy a higher end phone, but I bit the bullet and, sincerely, I am loving the A80. It does everything I need a phone to do and, importantly, with speed, smoothness and battery to spare.
P.S. The launch price is definitely too high though - would not recommend the A80 if the price is 500-600€, as you can buy a flagship for that price, but if the price tag is 500€ or less, than this is a phone to have!

Overall this device is awesome for normal use. I'm not a gamer and have not tested gaming, but everything else is fantastic. Speed, response, pictures, multitasking (second screen is awesome), battery life is more than expected and pretty awesome (25-30% left off charger @6am to bed @11pm). Overall. Love.
Buy it just a few days ago so far so good second screen look awesome the only downside I can tell it's the sound as only have one speaker.Really enjoying this multitasking beast!

Overall speed

Just fast. Once you go 120Hz there's no turning back. Butter smooth everywhere!
The phone is very quick and responsive. I agree that once you turn on the 120Hz refresh rate, you'll quickly get used to it. The phone has excellent battery life, so I just leave the 120Hz on. It easily makes it through the whole day, so why not?
I actually do not see a noticeable difference between 60 and 120 Hz, so I just leave it at 60 Hz.
Overall speed is lovely only the cam sucks (too slow).

Impossible, 120Hz is a lot more fluid than 60Hz

Same here for refresh rate. On camera part though I use more of Photo Pro and just getting the hang of it(The way to get control over photos is awesome!)

I too don't see much difference in scrolling but definitely it drains battery a lot so I also kept the toggle off.
