Note 4 Screen reflections

Is it just me or is the note 4's display quite reflective in indoor lighting? On blackish backgrounds I can clearly see my on reflection on the display which is quite distracting
That is a common problem with all smartphone as you have a big glass panel in from of you. If you are using a dark wallpaper or if your screen is turned off it will just act like a mirror. My bratty little sister uses her Note screen as a vanity mirror all the time.
Yes. However I think having a glass screen protector on compared to a plastic one also increases the reflections

Yeah, that would definately increase the reflective qualities of the screen.

5.5" screen on 5" body

Okay, so I got a ZE551ML and on the plastic that protects the screen there's that written:
5.5-inch Full HD IPS display in a 5-inch body
Now, how is that possible? How a screen can be larger than the phone body? Somebody knows what that means?

That's just marketing ! Just to promote a not-so-large design with a LCD that is "almost" same width than the body.

That depends on your definition of "5 inch body". For example, you can probably put a 6 inch on the "5.5 inch body" of the iPhone 6 Plus .

But how is that possible? How are they measuring the inches of the body? They are measuring 5 inch minus the 5.5 inch of the screen?

It's saying the body of a 5 inch phone (Take an iPhone for example. They have HUGE bezels.)
They are saying for the same size as an iPhone with a 5 inch screen, you can get a 5.5 inch screen to fit in that same body, but lessening the bezels.
No phone that has a 5 inch screen has a 5 inch body. Typically they are around 6 inches. So, a 5.5 inch screen will fit in the body that a normal 5 inch phone would, due to Asus cutting back on bezels.
The screen is measured corner to corner lol

yeah and that's why I see no way in how a screen can have 5.5 inches inside a 5 inches body

That would be5.5" in a traditional 5" body. If you look at an iPhone 6 plus, we have the same screen size, bit the iPhone has a larger body.
Sent from my ASUS_Z00AD using XDA-Developers mobile app

Is it possible to reduce the size of the whole display?

Really want to use this phone but the edges and the THE REFLECTION/Glare' are unbearable.
I mean the content on the sides looks horrific. So I was thinking if there's a way to just reduce the display size so that it doesn't occupy the edges?

chinese note 3 frame missing piece?

Bought a new display and frame to my old note 3 from china.
Problem is that the frame does not have heatpad for the pm8941 power management chip.
There isn't even any metal frame where the pad should be only a hole in the frame.
Look for yourself. On the left is the frame with missing piece. Roughly the shape and size of a sim card slightly left and up from cpu heatpad.
I bet the heatpad for the power management chip is not there just for fun, but how hot does the chip get?

How does the screen size feel from a traditional 5.5 inch 16:9 aspect ratio screen?

How does the screen size feel from a traditional 5.5 inch 16:9 aspect ratio screen?
Coming from a 5.5 inch screen, will it feel smaller?
Same height than old's 5.5 inch.
It is very compact in hand while the screen is bigger than traditional 16:9 5.5"
