LGH345KT - Tmobile LG LEON - Is it a Black Brick? - LG Leon Questions & Answers

I have tried searching, nothing has recovered it yet. In attempt to do this https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72501544&postcount=25
I got to step 11, but didn't check fc well, and didn't have TWRP installed! Any hope?
I get a Battery ? on battery out. It makes a device driver connection and loads drivers, but doesn't seem to get into download or recovery. No connection on ADB, or Fastboot with my drivers that I've tried. The LGMobile Support Tool gives a battery or download error, and I've used another Leon to check it's 100% charged. I made the backups as stated in the howto above, but can't connect to do a restore. I've got pretty far with the disconnect after 5 seconds to bypass the battery check, but still nothing flashed. I may have tried more options to flash and nothing has worked, please ask to check if I've tried it already. My main reason for this attempt was to free up size for apps, and to utilize the SD card memory more effectively. I have not seen a menu or screen image except what I've mentioned.

LG L5 E610 - Strange issue

Hello guys.
I have an LG L5 (E610) that is having a very strange behavior.
It started by throwing a lot of ANR with different applications (Google Play Store, Play Services, Facebook, and others).
So, seeing this, I decided to do a factory reset. After reboot, what is my surprise that I see everything as I had before. All the applications, all the data, everything.
With this, I tried almost everything at the moment. And by saying that, I mean:
- Tried to follow the key combination for the recovery, it goes to recovery, I see the Android and some progress bar moving, but after the reboot, the system remains with no change;
- When on the system, I uninstall applications, they seem to be uninstalled, but after a reboot all the applications are back.
- Tried to root the phone with more than one process, no success. I cannot install any application. Not via play store, not via adb install, there is no way;
- Tried to flash a recovery img, to try to clean cache partition from there, no luck. From Fastboot it says everything went well, but when I reboot, everything is the same;
- In fastboot, I tried to erase cache and userdate partitions, no luck. When I try, i have a message saying "FAILED (status read failed (Too many links))". This happens with all the partitions. I even tried to erase the system partition, and I have the same response. Strange thing is that after this error, the phone reboots and goes directly to the system;
- Tried with KDZ images and tools to install different versions, I receive errors during the deployment and at the end the phone reboots. Again, the same system is installed as before. No changes.
As of now, I was trying to understand if there is any problem with the internal flash system. Maybe it is corrupted and is causing all these issues.
The thing is, as the phone is not rooted, I cannot launch a e2fsck to the maybe faulty mmcblk0pXX
The phone has a stock ROM based on Android 4.0.3 (build IML74K / LG-E610-V10e-JUN-30-2012)
I am out of ideas, I've looked around here at XDA, Google and I have no other ideas to try.
Does anyone have another suggestion?
Is there something else I can do to try to make the phone live again?
Any help someone can provide will be very much appreciated..
Now this is what I call a coincidence.
About 2 years ago, a friend of mine asked me for help with her E610. Almost all actions were giving us ANRs. Whatever you do, i.e. unsinstall, install, change, delete... after reboot/reset were all there, even notifications! Tried KDZ updater, and, while the update was OK without signs of errors or so, after reboot - nothing, everything was like before. After trying to find a solutions by hundreds of ways, with adb and fastboot commands (all partitions&folders were locked, no read, no write, and you can't see any file, tried root to no avail), L5 got bricked. She already got a new phone and this LG was laying there without any use.
Three days ago I decided to try again, with no hope tbh No screen, no vibration, nothing, apparently dead. But, I could install Qualcomm drivers and my Windows can see it in download mode. I think that the only way is to flash the phone with LGFlashTool and using COM port. I already extracted *.dz from *.kdz but I need the dll for FlashTool. Found 2 or 3 webs with this dll, but you need a 100 bucks subscription :crying: If anyone can upload that dll I'd be very happy to try to flash this phone I'm really big n00b in this, just a plain phone user, nothing more, so don't blame me if I said something wrong
Many thanks in advance.
same problem
Hello! Same problem...
My L5 is making me crazy... It has CyanogenMod 10 nighlty. A friend of mine was using it and he tried to install the GAPPS after he did a factory reset. I have no idea what guide he used but it got soft bricked... It's constantly showing a "stopped working" message and after a while reboots by itself.
I tried to do a factory reset but it always returns to the same point, same apps installed, everything like the reset never happened. I even used CWM to reset it and it allways goes back to the same recovery point.
After a while I decided to flash a stock room but here's the problem: I can't get into emergency mode.
After reading ALL post about it I found that there's at least three ways of entering EM, (1) down VOL and plug in usb cable without battery; (2) down+up VOL and plug in usb; (3) down+up VOL + power botton.
Conclusions:
(1) - gives me a screen full of code like a command line
(2) - White screen
(3) - White screen
I've read ALL the unbrinking post on the internet, including xda, and none of them helped.
The KDZ Updater never recognizes the phone. I installed all the drivers but everytime I plug in the phone it installes the same LGE MTP drive...
Can anyone help, please?!
How to enter Emergency mode? How to flash another rom?

AT&T D800 bricked? Secure boot error, no download mode or recovery

Alright so here's what happened. Last night I decided to update to the latest Cyanogenmod nightly. Turns out that was a bad idea, because it blackscreened on me. Ok, so I flashed the stock firmware, it was working. I decide to reinstall TWRP back on it. It didn't seem to take so I just said "**** it" and went to sleep. I wake up the next morning and what do I see? "Secure booting error Error: Boot Certification Verify!" No download mode, no recovery. So alright, I've followed the guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142 but I hit a roadblock. Now this is where things become weirder. When I plug my phone in to USB in its current state, it's kind of hard to explain, but here's what it does: The backlight flashes on and off constantly. In Windows (currently in Linux right now as per the guide) it acted as if it kept trying to mount itself. Windows didn't like this at all because apparently it was doing it constantly, and bringing up a lot of dialog windows with multiple drive letters telling me to format it. Now I suspect the problem has carried over to Linux as well, meaning I can't push the images I need to to my phone in order to fix it, since it won't mount itself properly. Yes, I even tried disabling automount like the guide suggested and that didn't help. I'm guessing it's a bootloop issue? I dunno. I'm completely stuck, frustrated, and I really hope I don't have to buy a new phone. Any suggestions? I really need help with this. Thanks.
The long list of tons of drives (and no Download mode) is fairly easy to fix thanks to the solution at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g...6#post56739916
To simplify, just download his premade package for the D800 (he lists other versions in the description of his YouTube video) at https://mega.nz/#!mN0SkDpb!1R36L-F05...88X5OuIqwNdezM
and also download and install the Qualcomm drivers from here:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/pb...SB+Drivers.rar
In the instructions he shows Computer Management, a Windows tool. If you are unfamiliar, you can find it under Control Panel -> System and Security -> Administrative tools (click on it)

Probable brickage of TN7

Hi folks,
So, after little usage due to instability caused by the Lollipop upgrade I hadn't used the TN7 in a while. Yesterday I thought I'd have a go at reconditioning it.
Background: The bootloader has been unlocked, recovery was TWRP, I'd flashed and reflashed stock ROMs of KitKat and Lollipop several times previously. The main problem in Lollipop was that whilst the SD card files were showing up fine in FS Explorer, I couldn't see any of my files or folders when looking at local storage. Also, Google Play Services refused to update (or install using an APK).
Yesterday I grabbed the factory ROM from the nVidia site to do a full factory install and reset. I followed the instructions, flashing the recovery, boot, system, userdata, staging blob and dtb in that order. I then rebooted and...nothing. No power (or so it appears), no boot screen, no ability to get back into the bootloader, nada, zilch. When I read back through the flash commands I noticed that the final part of flashing the system image failed, which could well be the cause - I should have paid more attention.
I've searched all over and tried multiple options to get the TN7 to boot or show some signs of life. I don't even get an LED showing when plugged into a wall socket to charge.
The device doesn't show in fastboot or adb on the Mac. I did however get a small sign of life from Windows. If I hold down the power button for around 10 secs and let go, I can hear the Windows chime of a device connecting, immediately followed by a disconnect sound, the Device Manager updates but shows nothing new.
So my question is: have I completely screwed the pooch, or is there something that can be done to resurrect it?
Cheers for reading,
Gray

Hi,
It can be fixed via apx mode.
Download drivers and switch to apx mode.
Follow instructions http://mobileviandroid.blogspot.in/2015/07/nvidia-tegra-note-7-apx-images.html?m=1
Remember to change your device serial number as mentioned in instructions.
I also faced the same problem as you are facing now. It fixed. If you need any help further just post. God bless. Hope it helps

Black screen, no DL mode, no boot, just a brick - device without root

Hello guys!
Unfortunately I have managed to full brick my phone which has worked without any issues for more then 3 years.
My story:
1. Phone started to have random restarts, basicaly, when phone lagged little bit - it restarted phone.
2. When I did manual restart, I got into bootloop and could not get out
3. With a heavy heart I did a factory reset. - Problem with random restarts ontinued together with random bootloops.
4. Did maybe 5 more factory resets, nothing happened.
5. Found a tutorial to flash new firmware.I was on 5.0.2 D802 30d so I used same. (PC suite could not find my phone and LG support tool always freezed on SW install)
6. I used LG Flash tool with normal flash. - used *.kdz which I have downloaded via LG support tool - checked size with dl from source from xda and they were same so i used it.)
7. All success, but device keep restarting - i think no bootloop anymore.
8. I did full flash again with LG flash tool so have a clean install and hopefully fix everything.
9. Suddenly mid-install my phone auto-disconnected from laptop and even with Retry attemps I wasnt able to get it running again. Then my phone restarted itself and that was it.
Now I cannot go to recovery mode, I cannot go to Download mode, all I see is black screen (turns some light on little bit underneath but no data visible).
Also when connect to my Windows 10 laptop multiple discs trying to load and trying to format disk. (one of them contains folder image with some files inside).
I dont have root, I dont have any other tools installed on my phone, just a normal user.
I tried to download adb but i dont understand it much, and also it cannot find my device.
Is there any way how to still fix my phone or is it completely lost
If so, I please you for a dummies step-by-step list .
Thank you so much in advance. :crying:
So good news,
I managed to load img back with dd application.
My Download mode together with factory reset is working.
I have tried to flash it with LGUP and even with some accused usb disconnections I probably managed to flash new lollipop to my phone.
Now it is optimalizing apps to load android correctly. Only issue I have is low battery, it always drains it too quickly so it cannot load properly.
Any idea how to charge the battery? Every time I connect phone with usb cable it starts up into boot, possible bootloop (cannot say if it is because of low battery or real bootloop)
Thanks
Dude try to install crdroid 7.1.2 nougat rom of d802 this will fix your battery problem
root it and install TWRP with srktools 2.0
this is best way to root G2 5.0.1 lolipop
you can also use LG One Click Root to obtain root then don't update su binary and install Autorec of you model to get twrp

Hard Bricked OnePlus 6t Tmobile Version

I have a Tmobile OnePlus 6T, hard bricked.
Mine gives the usb device malfunctioned error. I have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled the qualcomm usb drivers. It recognizes the phone in the device manager as USB DEVICE DESCRIPTION FAILED. The MSM tool wont recognize it, and my phone wont boot in any other mode except EDL. It will not boot to bootloader or anything. Funny thing is, all I was trying to do was convert the T-Mobile version to international which I've done before. During that process, it hung at "recording downloading time". I let it go for 20 minutes, according to the guide it is supposed to take 5. I canceled the process, (I had done this one other time before, and it booted just fine) and now nothing works. I am not a noob at this. I can restore through fastboot if I could get it to boot into fastboot. I could restore through recovery via sideload if I could get it to boot into recovery. Please help.
*Moderators, I have searched high and low through the forums and I cannot find a thread with this problem that has any steps to solve it. I found one thread with a similar description but it is a year old, has no replies and the author managed to fix his phone on his own, with no description of how he did so.*

The other of the previous post probably figured out how to get the device recognized by the computer. I would say see if you can use another computer/cable and see if it still has the same issue, if it does i'd probably be concerned about the device health. If the issue is gone on the other PC though then you likely have something wrong with either drivers or usb hardware on your PC. I would assume you've already tried using a different USB cable and port with your current PC.
