metro pcs On5 came with FRO lock off - Samsung Galaxy On5 Questions & Answers

<Bought Metro PCS Samsung Galaxy On5 from store. My first time trying to root a phone I need binary update. Flashed Stock Rom sucsuccessfully and still left with same issue. After watching video to remove FRP lock, realized the FRP Lock had been off since I bought it brand new from Metro. As not really a rookie anymore I'm stumped, please help?>

Turn on developer options and tick OEM unlock and USB Debugging on. See if that helps your situation. I just rooted this phone today with no issues whatsoever.

[Q] Galaxy S5 locked on Reactivation Lock?

Hello I bought my verizon galaxy s5 yesterday on craigslist knowing verizon phones now come factory unlocked and intended to use it with my T-mobile sim. When I tested the phone everything worked fine but later on when I got home I decided to factory reset it to clean it up and now I am stuck with a "reactivation locked" window asking me for the owners samsung id, I then tried contacting the seller and now he wont respond so I am stuck with it. I have now made research and know that its a security new method on verizon phones. Is there a way to fix/disable this? any input will be greatly appreciated, thanks.
verizon phones now come factory unlocked??
This is news to me.
Kies or Odin might allow you to install a new image.

This has been the case with 4G phones. It is sim unlocked, as in you can use other carrier's sim cards, not with an unlocked bootloader in case that is what you were thinking.

You will have to get it from the seller.
It likely wasn't done maliciously nor may they remember even setting it.
IIRC when setting up the phone it is an option that you can enable. Chances are it may be a password they use for many things and my not want to divulge it?
Unfortunately you will have to get ahold of them as only they know the password.
The only other thing I can think of is flashing the ODIN tar. Not sure that this will reset it anyways as when you enable this option there is a message saying that Reactivation lock must be disabled before sending your phone in for service.
9/10 guy probly screwed u for a claim because that feature would have to been activated it wont activate on a reset as it would have asked for password prior to reset and the fact that its asking for the Samsung id is evidence to the fact

This is the second thread you've done this in. Stop finding year old dead threads and posting a link to the solution that was found a year ago. If you want to get your post count up, try posting something useful (like me) in a thread you can contribute to:good:
Breakthough!!!! glitch found

I found a way to access the devices of my sm-g900v with the build OE1 with this problem. So the bug i found is not complete but, i know that someone could do something with this info. All you need is blue-tooth headset mines are the lg HBS750. First you have to call 911. turn the bluettooth on and Quickly disconnect the call... you should be on the searching for devices.. At this point you connect you headsets and connect to wifi.. and press the speak/call button on the headset. S-voice should pop-up and ask you to connect to wifi (if you didnt follow my directions) if you did, you should be able to open settings are any stock app... i tired to disable from the settings but, it keep re-checking itself. Maybe someone could find out use this access to disable the reactivation lock.
have you find any solution to the reactivation lock?

if you find anything that WORKS, plz can you post it here, i have the same problem, I bought a G900V, later upgrade to PD1 android 6.0.1 and find the surprise
I've got some phones with a reactivation lock as well. I'll look into above. Any chance you could bring up adb? If so I can give you the adb input commands to force a hard reset via a bug, it may work and bypass reactivation lock as it is a full wipe, but no promises. Otherwise I have a theory for disabling it via a script that can be pushed via adb and executed. I need to see if I have time, cause it needs to be done
Thanks for getting me that far!!!
ive gotten close

I have an s5 on bok3 firmware right now with a samsung reactivation lock lockout without root or unlocked bootloader and no custom recovery
i first went back to bok3 firmware then used the otg usb/cable bug to access the file manager i've also gotten into play store settings phone and couple other things but also i force closed a bunch of apps and then backed into the setup wizard and got phone activating as if it was a new device but alas it failed as i had disabled and/or forced close activation agent. I haven't been able to recreate since. ps you can access lock screen by going to android device manager on the web and using the lock feature to change the lockscreen password. I also discovered samsung account is the issue app for reactivation lock as when i force closed and disabled it setting menu crashes instead of does nothing when you try to do a factory reset in setting or add a samsung account to your device.
perhaps we can install a custom version of the s5 samsung account app to our device i dont have the skills to change it but you might. Just a thought
Reactivtion lock is off!!!!!!!!!!
I booted NCG on PB1 Bootloader
is a new thread on s5 verizon general on xda
im testing it to see if reactivation lock can be circumvented this way will tell you either way as soon as i can
IT IS CONFIRMED WORKING AND REACTIVATION LOCK IS OFF

Phone locked out,

Hi there,
Friend of mine using Lenovo A6000+, Doesn't have google account in that phone. It was secured with the pattern lock. But unfortunately he forgot the unlock pattern. Since he have a lot of contacts in that phone, there is no way to reset it. Its full stock version. Just a basic user., so no root access or anything. In this scenario any other way to unlock the phone without doing a factory reset? The google answers are helpful only if the usb debugging is enabled. Since it is not rooted and basically a very common user used that phone, i don't think usb debugging is enabled. Any help appreciated.
By the way, i'm also thinking of flashing a custom recovery into the phone. Will that be of any help? Would it cause the phone to lose data? Will that need usb debugging enabled to do it?

I dont think, there's anything you can do about it. Ask him first, if he had ever connected to pc and authorized it for usb debugging. Otherwise, the only option left is to factory reset.
Edit: Brother, I'm working on something to change the pattern, which obviously I'll tell you. I'll make a flashable zip which you can flash through twrp. Lets see how this goes.
I'm not sure, if I'll be able to do it. But if it does, it would be very helpful for everyone.
:silly:
Edit 2: Finally I got it working!!! hurray!!
Just flash this zip below and the next time your phone boots, you can enter any "more than 3-dot" pattern and the phone will accept. Later, you can set new pattern or anything.
 :silly:
P.S. I used CWM recovery on stock KK to flash it. Don't know why but I couldn't manage to flash twrp. Who cares anyway, if our job gets done. :silly:

G935F, Rooted with Phoenix ROM. Re-Locked Bootloader Like an Idiot

Hi, I have been rooted for like a month, i'm currently on Phoenix ROM, and for some stupid reason I un ticked OEM-Unlock in my developer options. Last night I left my phone on charge under my pillow, and it was boiling so I switched it off. This morning when I turned it on I got the message Custom Binary Blocked by FRP Lock. I have bank insurance but that's last resort and I have no idea if they will cover it.

Happened to me a few weeks ago when I got my S7 Edge, rooted and started experimenting... I unticked OEM unlock and basically locked me out of Android with the exact same "Custom Binary Blocked by FRP Lock" warning.
In the end, I just restored the stock firmware/ROM using Odin.
Don't worry, yout phone is fine. But yeah, the sh*tty part: You'll have to start from scratch.

That's fine, I don't mind starting again. Will it let me flash firmware though, since the boot loader is locked?
(I started the firmware download this morning, should be done when I get home)
Thanks for the reply as well mate!

Messed Up Settings

Hello Everyone, I am really running out of options here so I made an account and decided to make a new thread. I have a problem regarding my Settings that it is kinda messed up and doubled some of the menus. I've tried to search the forum multiple times and only found 2 Threads regarding it and I am still not sure what to do. They said its about CSC, I checked PHONE INFO app and found out that I dont have any CSC installed.
So yesterday I successfuly rooted my S7 Edge Exynos SM-G935FD. Then after awhile I rebooted my device and completely forgot to turn the OEM Unlock which prompts the "Custom Binary blocked by FRP lock". So I flashed Stock ROM using Odin. I was actually expecting this would wipe out my entire files but it didn't. After that, I rooted my phone again and found out that my Settings was all messed up. Now that I've already downloaded bunch of apps that I need and transfered the files from my brothers laptop.
I just need a direct solution to fix this Settings without needing a computer or wiping my entire data since I dont have the laptop anymore. TIA.

If I downgrade via ODIN, How can I Get OTA´S Back?

I just found an S6 Edge + (G929G) lying on a park bench, and looked everywhere for the owner. Long Story Short, I´m keeping the phone.
Judge Me, whatever.
It had 7.0 with fingerprint and pin security. Couldn´t access the phone. Factory Reset, Booom FRP Lock.
Had a friend who is an "experto" and via remote, he compiled a new rom with files from different ones.
Several Bootloops after, got the device to boot back on 6.0.1, but couldn't remove the FRP´.
Some friend told me, I know a guy, who works at a 3rd party repair center, he can remove that..
Again, Long Story Short and 10 Dollars later, I have a fully functional device for only 10 dollars, but I´ve read somewere that if you are planning to upgrade again, you should remove the OEM Unlock, enable Debugging, all this before..
I´ve done that but I can´t stand 6.0.1, I want Nougat, I don´t care about Smangung PAY, But I do want the improvements on performance of nougat without having to root, install twrp and f*ck things up again.
TO THE POINT,
--**IF I FLASH AGAIN A NOUGAT ROM WITH ODIN, AFTER ENABLED OEM UNLOCK, REMOVED THE FRP, AND SET UP MY ACCT TO THIS DEVICE**---
CAN I DO THIS? and if it´s possible, should I go with One File or multiple Files Odin Flash process?
