[6.0] MiUi Kali Nethunter - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Guides, News, & Discussion

Hi,
Since my post on MiUi forums got taken down (reason-against the rules ?!?) , and I don't have enough permission to post in the dev sections, I am posting this here.
As the title suggests the following is nethunter able to run on MiUi marshmallow (tested on epic rom), just flash the provided zip over current MiUi mm rom and voila ! Have fun
**NOTE --> If wifi doesn't work even after flashing mod-mm.zip, just head over to /lib/nodules, rename wlan1.ko to wlan.ko, create a new folder in the same directory and name it "pronto" and then copy the now wlan.ko into pronto and rename this time to "pronto_wlan.ko"
The only difference in other nethunter and this one is, it is for MiUi marshmallow.
*based on radon kernel
*hid patch credits zetsubou kernel

How it works:
Method 1:
-First download the .rar File "System APPs for use with addON-Flasher"

-Drag the APK's that you want in the system/app folder of the ROM (DON'T unzip) with winrar or something simular .
-Now flash the rom with all the apps that you want in one time , no need to use the addON-FLASHER.
Method 2:

TIPS:
- 3Gusb:
If the connection won't start use the ril-deamon-restarter.apk or when you put the 3Gusb in after boot ALWAYS use the ril-deamon-restarter.(3g icon in notification bar and mobile settings will be available in settings then)
It is possible you need to change APN settings in the mobile settings.
(I got a Huawei E1552 and it is working supurb)
Had to follow this tutorial to make my 3G dongle ready : http://vache-android.com/v1/index.ph...tutorialsID=12
-You don't want HULU , or want the flashplayer from the market ?
You need to remove "com.adobe.flashplayer-1.apk" in data/app and reboot.
Now you can download the flashplayer from the market.
- Problems with GPS, try the v2.2 patch from crypted, the rom contains patch 3.0 but it seems that some people have problems with it AGPS Patch Iconia 3.1 & 2.2 | GET BACK TO RAPID GPS LOCK, CAN LOCK ONTO MORE SATS - xda-developers

But I like the Thor Kernels, more clock settings.

Just flashed this one (I had your previous ROM on my tab), after wiping Data , Cache and dalvik. Netflix works, and camcorder does not crash. Tried Hulu using the default browser, at the site I got an error that said I had to upgrade my flash.
I am having a gps problem, no sats locking. It finds up to 6 sats.
Everything else is great! Thanks, just wanted to give some feedback
edit: uninstalled the flash apk and reinstalled it from your ROM and Hulu is now working!! Not sure what happened the first time.

Do you have root explorer or any other app that can give you root access to /system/app?
Sent from my Sensation Rockin CoreDroid!
EDIT: If you do have an app that can access /system with root then do me a favor and try this. Go into /system/root and copy the superuser.apk that is located there. Paste it somewhere in either your sdcard or external sdcard. Then take the attached superuser.apk and move to /system/ and set the correct permissions(Verify old permissions of old superuser.apk before you paste.) Now do a reboot, and once booted back up go into settings/applications/manage applications/all applications and scroll down to superuser and clear out the data for superuser. Now go back into your root apps and setcpu and regrant everything superuser permissions and I'm willing to bet that your issues will be solved. Hope this helped.

It is not the battery mod , I got it running on mine .I got no SU problems.
This is how I install rom:
-Reboot in recovery
-Wipe DATA/reset to factory
-Wipe cache
-Wipe Dalvik
-Flash new ROM
-Reboot.
Better to wipe everything before you flash rom.
Sometimes I got SU denied after I restore my system with a Nandroid backup , then I only wipe cache and dalvik and flash the rom again that I'm using in that backup so I don't lose my data/setup.
I did a update of the SU bin and apk in the one I upload later , for the GPS I got really fast lock on , but I live in europe , I will update the gps config file in the updated rom for you guys in the states , if you cannot wait just use the link to the crypted gps in first post and update yourself.
Will be uploading MIX_3B = updated the SU bin and apk. and updated gps config to V2.0 , over her I have even faster gps lock , so thanks for the tip guys.
twice now my tablet ha shut down while in sleep.is there a setting I need to change.
And please let me know if there's a flash for stock font.
This is really good

Custom Kernel SM_G935F

I have been playing around with kernels (for nexus 5), to add some features to the stock kernel. But I have problem with Samsung. I am trying to build a flashable custom kernel for Samsung S7 edge (G935F). .Steps I followed to create the boot.img are:
Get the stock source code (Samsung openSource)
Modify the kernel (just add/remove some TCP features)
Build the kernel (as per the kernel READ.ME, with aarch64-linux-android-4.9 toolchain)
-->created Image, with no loadable modules (*.ko)
Unpack the boot.img from the stock kernel (abootimg -x )
Create new boot.img replacing the original zImage with the custom kernel Image (abootimg --create . . . )
Make tar.md5 file of the custom boot.img for Odin3
Pushed the custom kernel using Odin3, but it fails to boot ("kernel not enforcing seadnroid"). I have tried using TWRP (install from zip), but it just does bootloop. Can anyone see what I am doing wrong? Am I missing something? I have read most of the "Build kernel from source" dev-threads but have not found a solution for this, nor am I allowed to post my questions there as I am just a junior member.
I would highly appreciate any help, as I have already invested some days with no avail

I dont want to tell you something you have already read, if you have been through the Dev forums, But on the off chance:
Have you removed the Fingerprint reader?
The Kernel will fail to boot with it enabled, Unless you know the workaround (EchoTeam)

Hmm ... Fingerprint reader? No, I have not removed anything. I was thinking that since I am not adding anything that was not already in the stock kernel source, I do not need to do any modifications. How can I remove this reader?
Here are the temporary solutions.
Way A:
Remove /system/lib/libbauth* , /system/lib64/libbauth*
Way B: (If you want to completely disable (or bypass) TEE)
Remove /system/lib/libbauth* , /system/lib64/libbauth*
Replace /system/lib64/hw/gatekeeper.exynos8890.so,/system/lib64/hw/keystore.exynos8890.so with these i uploaded.
Both of them will make your FP Sensor not working.
(Lock Screen will work)
But,at least,you get a stable custom kernel.

I saw someone mention me.
Well, you must disable all TIMA-related configs as well as KNOX_KAP to get kernel boot.
And then, if you want to get a stable kernel with FP, you must apply my FP fix.(could be found in my Kernel's flashable zip)

I appreciate that you have had the time to look at my question. I've tried the tricks you suggested but my kernel still cannot boot. Modified the .config file (with menuconfig):
disabled
# CONFIG_KNOX_KAP is not set
# CONFIG_TIMA is not set
# CONFIG_TIMA_LKMAUTH is not set
not in config anymore
-CONFIG_TIMA_LOG=y
-CONFIG_TIMA_RKP=y
Then built a custom boot.img as mentioned in my question and added the META and mcRegistry folders from your flashable zip file to create a zip file out of the three.
I have also tried by removing the libbauth* files from system/lib/ and system/lib64 directories?
One more thing, does it matter whether I get just an Image file or zImage from kernel build (I get only Image and .gz of it)?

I'm not entirely sure of this, but it could possibly have broken the ability to update via OTA.
It would make sense that OTA Updates won't work due to foreign files (SU, CM APPS) in the system partition.
Does it replace win bootloader with grub?

Patched version of CrazyGamerGR's CrazyAquaKernel to add keyboard emulation support

I've patched CrazyGamerGR's CrazyAquaKernel to add support for this app, which lets you use your phone as a USB Keyboard/Mouse. The app requires root access.
This is only compatible with Cyanogen-based ROMs.
You can use this and DriveDroid at the same time, which I've found quite useul on my Surface Pro 3.

I have a horrible upload speed, so I'm not going to re-upload everything if I can help it. The source is exactly the same as what's linked in the original CrazyAquaKernel post (see above), but I've applied this patch.
If this is against the rules, comment and I will upload the patched source in a github repository.

[ROM] CrDroid from MI A3 working on CC9e

Hey guys !, I have testing the system.img of the CrDroid Rom from Mi A3 and it works great, everything works on our CC9e (I have been using it for some days and works very well)
You need an unlocked bootloader , a TWRP working on your device, you must be on xiaomi.eu miui 12 (in order to get android 10 vendor) and some files listed below:
1- Crdroid Rom from Mi A3
2- Payload dumper
3- Magisk 20.x
If you wanna test it follow the next steps:
A) Extract the payload dumper.zip you will get a payload imput folder, payload output folder and payload.exe file
B) Open the Crdroid rom. zip with 7zip or similar and copy the payload.bin file to payload_imput folder
C) Open the payload_dumper.exe file and wait until the window close automatically, then copy the system.img file from the payload_output folder to a otg device, internal memory or sd card
D) Enter to twrp format data, then go to wipe option, slide to wipe data and cache partition, then go to install option and flash the system.img file in the system partition (the file that you copy to device in the step C)
E) Once the system.img is installed, don't reboot , just go back to install option in twrp and install magisk 20 zip, once it is installed just reboot and enjoy crdroid rom

The Vendor from the MIUI 12.5 by xiaomi.eu, which is based on Andorid 10.
Seems that the way I installed the Crdroid can't load the driver correctly. I tried to install the Evolution x which is based on Android 13, the audio module still can't run correctly.
ps. I tried to flash the vendor.img from evolution x. The CC 9e can't load the system successfully. It stuck on the loading screen of evolution x, which appears after the Mi Logo.
I will try to install Evolution which is based on Andorid 10 soon. Hope everything will work well.
is there any error or bugs in this rom?

Would you like to provide the forum or links of the rom?
I have tested the evo 4.6 and it couldn't boot. But the CrDroid Rom runs correctly.

I'd like to try the rom later.
And I will try to install the vendor from MIUI 13(Android 11) and retry the Evolution which was based on the Android 13.
I will stay on the A13 if the speaker works well.
So,do you need the link of evolution x right now?
