Oh dear God.. You can't get it into cwm settings at all? My suggestion at this point would be to play with holding those buttons and try to get the phone powered off.. Once you get the phone off plug it in the comp holding vol up yo get it in download mode.. I don't believe you can initiate download mode until the phone is completely off..

since I'm having a hard time understanding you I'm going to say your best bet is to try and figure out how to get your phone into download mode. I must rest you that your phone has to be powered off in order for you to get it into download mode. Here's a link with some tools to use once you get it into download mode

Does not work with the up and down in any way because they do not enter recovery or download mode. my only hope is this but do not quite understand

[Q] Restore to stock without download mode

I installed CrDroid for my Verizon LG G2. It took me a while to get things working, but they eventually got sorted out.
Unfortunately, in the process, I lost the ability to enter Download Mode. I haven't been able to solve this problem and can't find any solutions. That said, I can boot into my phone just fine, and can also enter recovery (TWRP).
My goal is just to restore my phone to stock so that I can download the latest firmware OTA. Is it possible to do this without access to Download Mode via TWRP or some other means? All the guides I have found for restoring the phone to stock involve the use of Download Mode, but as that isn't available to me, I'm looking for alternatives.

I assume you've tried holding Volume Up + Plugging your phone into the PC via USB? I'm only asking because you don't mention it at all.
How did you try to get into download mode? Via hard keys or reboot menu?

Yes, I should have mentioned that I used the normal "hard keys" to enter download mode. My initial problem was that entering it would immediately show a series of commands and just hang there forever. I did some searches and thought that maybe I would need to flash the "Download mode restore for 26A BL" found on this XDABBEB's thread, particularly because I had used XDABBEB to get to 26A:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2715408
After I flashed the download mode restore zip, the download mode results changed slightly. I would now stay on the initial download mode image (the one with the dots), but it would never progress further. Different result, but still unusable for me. I have no idea how to solve this problem.
Is Download Mode the only way to restore to stock? I'm hoping not...

[Q] How do I unbrick my device

Hi. I have SM-G928F unlocked version and I've tried to root it. But it all went wrong. Now i can only get into download mode (vol down+home+power). when i try to boot it normally or into recovery i also get into download mode. I've tried flashing 2 firmwares form sammobile but no luck. I still can't get past download mode. I'm wondering is there few parts odin firmware to flash with pit file.
Phone doesn't turn off and just restarts into download mode. And i dont get samsung black screen of booting at all.
Please help:crying::crying:
I'm facing a quite similar problem, but my phone is a SM-G928G. I tried installing a theme and then everything went wrong. I'd be glad if anyone out there could lend us a hand.
Edit: Problem Solved. I downloaded my firmware on Sam Mobile and used Odin to start over. Thankfully I had made myself a back up before all this mess.

LG D290N bricked, no normal boot, no download mode

Hi friends !!
I've a problem. When i power up my LG L Fino (D290N), i give an error "ERROR: Boot certification verify" and after shutdown and black screen.
I've tried to flash kdz file, previously downloaded, and i can't access to Download mode giving same error like normal boot. I'm tried to use ".tot" file and same problem, i can't access to download mode too.
I don't now how i can resolve this. For this reason, please, i ask for help.
Thank you very much to all users.
Greetings !! =)
Remove the battery for about 10 seconds and put it back. Now with the phone completely off (DON'T TURN IT ON!), enter the Download mode and install a KDZ.

Reboots to download mode

Ok so I was on a note 4/5 hybrid ROM and wanted to update to the latest stock unrooted ROM. Well it started off rough. I wiped it then tried to install QB3 via Odin but it didn't take so then I was stuck on download mode. I managed to get out of it by installing an OK1 ROM. I think that was the base of the hybrid ROM that I was on. That took and then I just used smart switch to update to the latest ROM and it worked. I tried to install TWRP via Odin but it doesn't take and I don't know why. Now every once in a while it will just turn off and I have to pull the battery out but then it goes to download mode. Sometimes I can reboot it and it will be fine. Other times it will go to download mode so I have to force it to boot into recovery. I select reboot system and then it goes back to download mode. I think the message at the top left of download mode says something about not being able to read mmc. Not sure what that means though. So it takes me several reboots going through the same process before it will finally boot normally. Has anyone else encountered this? I'd really like to get TWRP installed and root the phone but keep the ROM stock. I've tried installing a rooted stock ROM but it doesn't take. I don't know what else to do. Thanks in advance for any advice you guys have. If I don't reply it's because my phone rebooted and got stuck lol
If your getting the mmc message it's a bad sign. It usually means the board is going bad, it least that's what I've heard.
I actually found the cause of it. I had reactivation lock enabled so it wouldn't let me install TWRP or anything. Once I disabled it I was able to install TWRP and flash a rooted ROM. However it will still reboot at random times but it's not as much as before and it didn't get stuck in download mode.
