OK so I bought this watch and it's amazing for 105.00 USD but any app with contacts permission it doesn't like. Need root!!!!

It looks like you can plug a micro-usb cable directly into it without a cradle.....is that the case?

Plug it directly in the watch
Can be rooted with kingroot directly from watch with WiFi on. Military time can be changed in build prop. Use mine all day hasn't died once during the day. No input think its a build prop issue I'm no Dev but there is a lot turned off

Very cool. Does it actually have WiFi and GPS as well? And I think the site mentions a 5MP camera (as opposed the GG's 1.3MP). Can you verify this as well?
Starting to sound like the watch the GG should have been.

Took this pic today, GPS works for this tracker app only use I fount. WiFi works great. Chrome works good input is on phone though need a Dev to get ahold of this

i changes time format from 24 to 12 it made watch boot loop any ideas??

seems to me this is more of a U8 clone, it has the same mic/speaker implementation (phone audio is always on the speaker of the watch, you have to switch manually)
also, the Smartwatch2A.apk that can be downloaded for notifications looks/works exactly like BTNotifier that comes with the U8
and one of the U8 firmware updates changed the icons from black/white to color...

did you fix this? cause like an idiot i did the same thing.

adb wipe data and cache try searching for mtk tools a few people have this exact issue. I dont think there is a fix out right now.

Cast problem

My TV & my moto zf is connecting to the same router, but my phone cannot find available nearby devices, any idea?

i can not connect my moto z force or my lg tablet to my tv. say its connecting but never does. not sure if its a bug with MM or what. i am able to share pictures, videos, youtube but unable to do a full screen cast
edit- after some digging, it turns out it is a MM bug. Marshmallow added "p2p_disabled=1" to /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf which disabled P2P Wi-Fi Direct connections. after removing this line on my tablet,
it now miracasts just fine. the bad news is you have to be rooted to do it. so if or when we get root we are SOL!

LG FM receiver App

Can anyone post the LG FM receiver app. Verizon removed it from their phones (obviously) but I think T-Mobile has it

Doesn't work... I think it we need root to put it in the system folder and set permission

I doubt that it would work even if you could put it into the system folder through root. Verizon probably disabled the hardware as well. They did this on the LG G4 as well.

Hardware isn't disabled... There is an app that works (Next Radio) but the app isn't as clean and good, it is also full of adds

I wonder if Next Radio uses any data? I'm sure it very minimal if it does use any at all. But the FM radio tuner does work. I would love to see someone work on getting the LG Tuner to work on the Verizon model.

The website for that app says that it works with any phone with an FM chip and the correct API. It requires the use of headphones or some cable to act as the antenna. It does use some data for album covers and information, but you can turn that off by going into Tuner Only mode and then you will use NO data. Haven't actually tried it - just reading off their website.

No data... Your phone needs FM receiver chip. Most phones have it but carriers in the US used to disable it, lately they haven't which is good

Have it on my US Cellular G6 and it works very well. Unfortunately you cant send the FM signal to a bluetooth device.

Thanks for sharing. I got this to install on my G6 G600 (Korean) and it opened up. It says to turn the radio on. Pressing the standby button does nothing and I cannot see any other options. Any ideas at all?

I just tried it on my V20, I get to the "Turn the radio on" screen only after the "Plug in earphones to use as antenna" screen.

Samsung smart view app (the old one)!!

Hi all
Can someone try to run the old smart view app, which let the user cast from tv to mobile so as to have a 2nd tv on the mobile?
In fact can someone make it run on s8 (in fact I think on Nougat) and name the price for it?
Just fyi It was working fine on my s6 on 5.0 android.

Is this a modified one or what? Can you give some more details? Just installed it but it can't find my tv although playstore's current smart view finds it ok, so it's not a matter of tv.
Do you want to upload my 'old' one which was working ok on the s6 on android 5.0?

Thanks but I guess this is not the version that can cast tv's live program to mobile phone, right? It s like the new one, which doesn't either, right?

Now that I was able to resource the apk

This is the old version of smart view that was still working on android 5.0 on my s6 but it s not working on android 7.0 on my new s8. It installs ok but it stops responding when you open it. From what I ve read it wasn't working on android 6.0 as well.
This is the only version that casts from tv to mobile live, not only the other way around from mobile to tv.
So can anyone spend some time paid by me and make this app work on the s8, or in general android 7.0? I m just pointing out that this app doesn't work on modified kernel, so root is out of the way and it works only on samsung devices.
