Single din head units. Any of them availible? - Android Head-Units

I would love an android head unit but my car is incapable of 2din without serious mods, i hate those screens sliding out (they always fail and also it looks ridiculously rice) so i'm asking for help in finding some 1din units.

Hi
I bought this unit since i have a 1DIN slot too.
Joying UMS01N2
The display is 8inch and clips on, also you can regulate the position up and down with the modular clips on the back side.
As long as you have no really important stuff above or below the din slot, you should be good.
Greetings

It's nice! But infortunately i have fog light switches over the radio and climatronic panel below, but if it would be slightly less big like 5 inch itbwould be perfect

Try one of these:
JY-UMS04N
Actually, I should also point out that Joying can sell a person a cable extension for the units that would allow a person to place the screen in a remote location from the head unit with a little ingenuity. In other words a person could install the single din and then the screen could be located in a place on your dash that had more space.

Almost a year with my Xperia Z

I only want to share with you how much i am happy about this phone.
I use it a lot for work on the road, i'm a business developer and so i usually have to share files, browse the Web, use social networks and so on.
The phone works very well in every task, even in basilar photoshooting for live events, making basilar video editing, etc.
But what makes me really happy is the strength of the building. My phone fallen a lot of time on the ground, in the water, in the bathroom, I use it under the shower, and lot of other things.
One week ago the best example: I forgot my Xperia Z on the roof of my car
After 500 meters i hear a sound on the car and then looking in the mirror I see the telefone flying on the street on the other side of the street.
I turned the car and run to take the phone, in the mean time two cars jumped on it...
The result? Some scratches on the rubber bezel (very light scratches!).
My phone don't have cases... Only one film on the front and one on the back (those who came whith the phone).
The phone has no issues! It's a pleasure to know that i can use my phone in every situation!
Wow!

the phone has fallen several times and under shower usage for music playing or answering call is a very easy task...
my phone still is all fonctionning and after unlocking it and installing the PAC rom 4.3.1 i'm more happier that ever...!!!
this phone is just perfect... i compared it with the Z1 of one of my friends... u don't really sens the difference... yes! Z1 is more powerfull but Z is more beautiful and and more... more... more a personnal phone...
for me... best phone ever!

I have Z for 11 months.
It was good enough to not rush to get Z1. Which I will skip maybe,
just to get the next flagship.
Now Z seems similar to Z1 in speed and performance.
I have my z for 6 months. And I think it is a great terminal I will not need to upgrade to a new smartphone for now.
Mine is 6 months now.. Already got 3 replacements....
I've got 11 months. I was always good! Great phone. Especially because the xperia z has brought new aesthetic in home sony.
I've got z1 but still i have my xZ with me, not willing to sell this beast
Both xZ and xZ1 are awesome mobiles.
I have mine over a year, and would not change it for anything. Well maybe something with a better camera. If they will make an Z2 with dual sim then that's my new phone

This is the best smartphone I have had the pleasure of owning
I previously had Note 1. Bad firmware resulted in a couple of bricks
After the.second brick, I asked grey retailer for a "credit " to go toward XZ, which they did, and after nearly a year, not a single problem
I even accidentally dropped in the toilet, and was extremely glad about the water resistance

I have this phone since 7 months, the phone has fallen a lot of times, in water on the street and from 2nd floor (10 Mt) the phone hasn't scratches, and I don't use cases, only the films
Unlocking Bootloader gave me a lot of possibilities, the phone is smooth, has good battery life and I can do whatever I want...
The best phone I ever had!

I'm on to my third. The first one had its back peeling off. The second screen broke after falling 3 foot on to a tiled floor. IMO the phone is just as fragile as any other.

Tough call. I had a G2 which I really liked but it was slippy and the back creaked next to the volume/on off button controls which was annoying. I still have my Xperia Z and still use it regularly (main phone now is the ZL). The Z is a nicer build quality, feels better and looks better. Frankly, the camera is better on the G2, it is faster and the screen is much better but it's awkward to hold and doesn't have the Z wow factor...
I've had my Z 6 months coming from a nexus 4,at first I wasn't impressed but since 4.3 I have fell in love with it the performance is good now, plus with custom kernel I have gamma and the screen looks great now, also camera is great in good conditions and being able to use in the rain a must in the UK.

I to loved my xz.realy like the design so much.the only problem is the backplate has lifted up.
Im afraid to get it into water.
I think wanna change to g2 now. Thanks for your advice friend
I've had my Z for 11 months now.
Overall this is probably the best phone I've had in terms of performance. For all the stick Sony gets for slow updates my Z is a completely different phone from when I first got it. Each update has made it better. With the latest firmware it's actually a faster phone than it was a year ago.
In terms of wear and tear my Z has had 3 major falls on concrete from my pocket. It's always been naked except for front and back screen protectors and hasn't really sustained any cosmetic damage from the 3 falls.
However sometimes the proximity sensor and headphone jack will stop working. When this happens I have to press on the proximity sensor quite hard and it'll be back to normal. Whether this is due to the falls or water damage (the white water strips have turned pink) I'm not sure. I'm still under warranty so hopefully I can get this fixed.
Other than that the seals on the flaps are loose therefore it's a bit difficult to close the ports.
I'm really considering getting the Z1 because I feel that it addresses all the flaws of the Z. Open headphone jack and magnetic charging so need to bother with the flaps. I sync my Z over Wi-Fi so I don't need to open the usb port. Finally the 3000 mAh battery on the Z1 addresses the biggest flaw of the Z, the bad battery life. I usually get 4 hours of screen on time on average.

Upper Microphone defect?

Hey my friends,
im a new user of this great phone but a mistake happend.
On the upper side of this phone is should be one of the two in built mics.
i put the needle in the false whole and not in the sim card slot.
After that i realised the upper mic is much quieter than the lower mic. I know there is technology for noise reduction.
Could someone please test it for me?
thanks guys
regards
I tried making video and blowing into the mics or doing quiet noise and both have same volume level

Thank you very much. Could you do it with the pre installed sound recorder too?
Just blow first in the upper mic then in the lower mic.
Thanks buddy you help me a lot
Yeah i did the same with that "needle:
Saw your message and immediately tested it. All ok, thank god.
That's really bad and stupid solution by Samsung. But it shouldn't happen something if the needle would damage the mic it couldn't record anything. But anyway maybe some other user have the same like me.

True unlimited data hack

This a simple hack, and it can't be patched because it not software or hardware based. All you'll need is some masking tape. and a case for your phone. The adhesive and threading hold some beneficial properties that will block your phone from sending data usage reports, so your provider can't keep track of your data usage. Even if you have unlimited, your provider will still throttle you once you've hit the data cap, 10 to 20GB, then you'll get 3G service. With this hack you'll never reach that cap. Take a strip of masking tape and fold it over 2 to 3 times and then place in the back of your phone case, that's it. You may need to cut out a piece for your camera, but that's it. I haven't used wifi for about two weeks, and it seems I haven't even used a Gigabyte yet.

Best Android Head Unit without physical buttons

Hi, I'm looking for recommendations for an android head unit, I don't require a volume knob, or any other buttons. I have found the look of one I like, but am confused as there are so many different models for sale. If you could point me in the right direction for a relatively new model which works with spotify and doesn't have hardware buttons, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Leorocx.
Joy for me
I fitted the joying uk-jy-vm131n2 to my Skoda Yeti and I'm very pleased with it. I had to buy some fakra converter leads. Looks good and sound is good.

Can you link it? I cannot seem to find it.
EDIT: Found it, don't think that will fit my 2din gap, but it looks exactly what I want, just needs to be smaller.

Majority of Chinese headunits are slightly bigger than blname brand head units. What measurements is your 2 din space?
What vehicle?

Any good 1-din PX5 with adjustable screen, other than Joying?

Hello.
is there any suggestion for a 1-din head unit, with ajustable screen, similar to the Joying ones, like this?
I'm having a hard time with the Joying support to have a refund for a unsatisfying QD unit, so I would preferably buy from an other brand.
Thanks.
There’s an Xtrons unit I was looking at. Model No. TR704L which has asimilar form factor to the joying single din units. not sure if the screen height is adjustable though.
whats up with the head unit ? i just got one of the px-5 octa core 4gb ram models with a 10.1 inch screen.
was trying to find a good matte screen protector

What was wrong with your fyt unit? Generally they are better quality than other designs.

The concept is interesting with the screen mounted on a ball joint. However, it doesn't seem to be adjustable. :/
I have an Alfa 156 and the screen has to fit between the gauges and the A/C controls. The 7" Joying screen barely fits.

Candy from Joying keeps saying that I can't send the unit back to Germany, only to China. She's willing to refund half the shipping fees, but wants to make the exchange from China. So I would have to pay the customs, while it was already paid in the price from Germany.

I don't know why I wrote FYT while it's a QD unit.
I'm looking for something similar. Something that won't block my AC controls or my 4WD controls.
Hi, We have this unit. its a 1din 10"

And it's quite difficult, because I need to see the gauges, at least the water temperature gauge, just in case.
Which means that there is only ~120 mm of clearance…

Thanks for your proposition, but the screen is way too big. :/
And your other universal 1-din has a 7" motorized screen which doesn't fit (because it would mask the gauges). Also, the price of the 7" is a little high, considering that the RAM is only 2 Gb…
I'm still struggling with the Joying support.
So if there is any other suggestion, I will happily hear it.
