Tried installing the stock backup but now the backup stock OS is also getting stuck at Lenovo logo.
Found a fix to this problem. Solved by Pourush Sharan Bhargav
1. Wipe everything from twrp.
2. Download a stock rom of k6 power and flash it with a Qualcomm flash tool. Watch video for more info
3. Go to settings check.......phone now will not be encrypted.
4. If it says to encrypt, do not do it.
5. Go to twrp and make changes to data and cache partition to ext4.
6. Wipe everyting again from twrp.
7. Flash your custom rom like RR and gapps.
8. Done, enjoy.....
All the best. Please give me Kudos if this tip is helpful to you.

No, but i deleted the data, System, Delvik, Cache Internal storage in TWRP except FRP, MicroSD and USB-Otg (Which are not required i hope) before installing the ROM from MicroSD .

So... Reboot into TWRP, go to wipe, swipe to factory reset, and flash a ROM

Encryption Unsucessful

Is there any fix to this problem?
Please advise as the phone is basically useless without an OS and i am not able to install any of that.
Thanks,

If you have unlocked bootloader and have custom rom, connect devices in fastboot mode, then type: fastboot reboot recovery.
If you have unlocked bootloader, but you don't have custom recovery, downloader him, place in ADB folder, then connect device in fastboot mode and type: fastboot flash recovery yourfilename.img

After all of that, type in ADB: fastboot devices. If you see it, you can use my instructions.

Its just exctly my problem of not showing the device after put in the cmd, adb device command.... it fills blanck. I didtn have much choice and had put the stock version of the rom........... Seems that after my researches that message of encryption unsucessful only appears because i had put the rom and the gapps in the sd card. Anyone confirm this? Is a best practice to put in the internal storage (the custom rom and the gapps) ? And if i will do the wipes, how they will survive to them without error if they are in the internal storage?
Really confuses a brain....

Exactly just Install ROM using the internal memory don't use any other storage option like microSD Card or OTG. First do all the wipes > Then connect USB and copy ROM and Gapps in internal memory and install. It worked for me.

I simply formated the data after do all the wipes. The rom continues in sdcard for better manipulating the files. Thanks anyway.

Solved.......
I was having same error in my new k6 power and finally i conquered it.
U need to do following steps ÷
1. Wipe everything from twrp.
2. Download a stock rom of k6 power and flash it with a Qualcomm flash tool.
Remember if not working change the order of steps and do again and again this is the only solution.
I'm now using RR in my k6 power

this is the truth to decrypt any phone reboot to bootloader type below code one by. you will loss all your data after doing this.
fastboot erase config
fastboot format userdata
fastboot reboot

This was short and sweet.
Works and is perfectly safe as long as you have nothing left on the device. cause Internal sd card data gets deleted. a little warning would never hurt more than the loss.

After installing any custom rom on stock nougat you have to clear dalvik/cache. don't reboot to system straight away. Go back to twrp home, go to wipe then do a factory reset and clear data( the typing yes thing). If it says error to clear data, just reboot to recovery again and than try to clear data( the typing yes thing). You will now be able to boot into custom rom and without any encryption unsuccessful message.

Kernel with buildin Recovery for Xperia Tablet Z Wifi (SGP311)

Hi,
a User in an other Thread here in xda said that i can't flash twrp on my TabZ with the command 'fastboot flash recovery twrp.img' because there is no recovery partition on the TabZ. All i've tried, flashing twrp 3.x failed. I can install XZDualRecovery, but here the Recovery thinks my Tablet is the LTE version (SGP321) and not the Wifi version. So i can't install custom Roms because if the "wrong" device.
Is there a Kernle with buildin Recovery out there that i can flash on my Tablet? I'll tried LineageOS 14.1 and for that i need twrp 3.x, XZDualRecovery is TWRP 2.8.x. The DoomKernel Downloads doesn't work, instead of downloading the files it opens some pages to casinos and online dating services.

Hello,
All latest custom ROMs have built-in TWRP recovery (3.0.2.0 or 3.0.3.0).
flash boot.img of any latest custom firmware like LA/RR/CR by "fastboot flash boot boot.img", reboot and enter recovery from where you can flash any custom ROM, gapps, etc.
as i've written 'fastboot flash boot boot.img' doesn't work on my xperia device. i've tried this more then twenty times with two xperia tablet z. thats why i'm asking for an alternative. a user here posted that on some xperia devices there is no boot partition so the only way is to flash a kernel with custom rom.
the only way for my to flash a recovery is XZDualRecovery. But here i have the problem that twrp and philz think they are installed on a xperia tablez z lte (sgp321) and not a xperia tablet z wifi (sgp311). i have this problem with both tablets.

I too am having issues flashing a recovery. A lot of the posts are old. There are posts that say to install the newest TWRP on the fota partition but I have not found a good tutorial on how to do that. I can root and unlock the bootloader. Just the dang recovery. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
This post is old but i found a solution. Not for flashing the recovery partition. It fails (command not allowed) despite the bootloader is unlocked.
The solution is first to flash the boot partition with TWRP V3.2 using "fastboot flash boot twrp-3.2.3-0-pollux_windy.img".
Reboot the device and you shoul'd be under TWRP.
Wipe data and dalvik cache (important !)
Using TWRP, install Lineage.
Reboot and Lineage starts.
The problem is that TWRP disapears after installing Lineage because the boot partition is re-formated by the install of Lineage. So, you can't install other Zips, like gapps for example. But what i made was using aptoid and i can do everything i need. The SGP311 under Lineage is a real pleisure except the fact that the IR connector is no more recognized.

You can flash TWRP to FOTA partition, and it will stay there permanently (=forever). Also you can use kernel for LOS with built-in kernel, so you can install zips whenever you want.

Considering the TWRP zip is on /sdcard i used :
adb root (important)
adb shell
dd if=/sdcard/twrp-3.2.3-0-pollux_windy.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/FOTAKernel
And success !
adb reboot recovery starts automaticaly TWRP.

try it and if didnt boot here are my steps if i remember correctly :
-flash latest global developer fastboot rom with mi flash (flash all , be careful with locking bootloader accidentally )
-wait until first boot before phone setup and don't go through it
-reboot to fastboot mode and flash nijel twrp
-reboot directly to recovery
-wipe->factory reset
-flash 8.11.26 pie
-reboot system
Exatly as for me. Flashed with nigel TWRP, with format data before. Few issues but CN firmware... Google must be installed.
ok will do that now and report
i flashed latest global then tried to flash with that recovery but nothing.
i am now going to flash china dev latest and try again

so to be clear
i am gonna flash dev global 8.11.23 via fastboot
then wait for it to get to 1st set up screen but not go through the setup process
will then flash that twrp you mentioned via fastboot
and flash the rom after factory reset

i did exactly what you said again just to be sure
and it booted up with no problem
- mi flash->global 8.11.23 -> clean all
- first boot until welcome screen
- power off-> volume down+power -> fastboot and run "fastboot flash recovery nijeltwrp.img"
- volume up+power to boot to recovery
(so far if decryption goes well twrp shuold not request decryption password and you could mount data and see internal storage contents in /sdcard with no problem in twrp file manager)
- wipe->factory reset
- install pie zip rom 8.11.26
- wipe dalvik+cache
- reboot system
it took about 4 or 5 minutes for me to boot
If I've gone straight from the latest stock China ROM to xiaomi.eu 10.0.0.6.0 and have since flashed the latest nijel TWRP - which is all working fine.
Can I simply flash to this pie release or do I need to have previously flashed one of the developer ROMs?
Guys, quick conformation, please as I hear conflicting reports about MIUI Pie and my TWRP...
Please, from experience, decryption works, right? How about formatting data with TWRP and boot to Pie? Is MIUI Pie able to encrypt fresh data partition? And if yes is TWRP able to decrypt it again?
Thank you, feedback is really appreciated so I know what needs to be done for full Pie compatibility!!!

first thanks again for your great work on this recovery
decryption was good with oreo 8.11.15 china rom but right after pie rom boots and rebooting to recovery, decryption fails
from there rebooting to recovery again doesn't change anything ... recovery asks for decryption password every time.
and cuz data partition is not mounted so recovery log will not be saved to internal memory to attach it here
after formatting data miui boots successfully and encrypts data again.setting up the phone and rebooting to recovery ... but same thing happens and decryption fails.

Soft bricked my Mi9T by flashing Xiaomi EU 9.11.14. Need help!

Hello all,
So finally my waiting time was over and could unlock my bootloader, excited to flash xiaomi.eu 9.11.14 (I was on MIUI11 Global based on Android 9.)
I unlocked my phone straight away and followed this guide to install it: https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/9-11-14.53327/
After unlocking I then booted into system to enable ADB debugging. Then flashed and booted into TWRP (version I used: twrp-3.3.1-3-davinci-mauronofrio.img). I wiped /data and cache. I selected the Xiaomi EU ROM and started flashing, flash went successful. Then booted into system. But then it got stuck at the "Redmi - powered by Xiaomi" splash screen and waited a bit thinking it would take a bit. Took over 10 min before I figured out I might've done something wrong. So booted back into recovery where a chinese TWRP popped up, managed to change language to English. Then tried flashing Xiaomi EU again, but my internal storage contained only folders of random numbers and characters (unreadable format) and the Xiaomi EU ROM wasn't there. I then tried moving the Xiaomi EU ROM from my PC to my phone again. Didn't work, can't transfer anything to internal storage although storage was mounted. Also my main internal storage name turned into Chinese characters. I thought of flashing the same TWRP I used earlier with fastboot but without success. Now my phone also can't boot into TWRP, only fastboot working.
Now I am downloading the Full fastboot ROM to hope to recover it back with the MiFlash tool. But I need help with fixing how to correctly flash Xiaomi EU. How could my flash not work? Did anyone had the same?
In TWRP you must Format Data and confirm with yes, wipe data is not enough.

It just won't boot. You can still recover from this by enabling the setting in twrp and reformatting data.
You will lose data regardless of this being enabled because this is only used for formatting data. That's what formatting data does

can I install shrp recovery zip and then miui12...
what I will do is -->
1. install this recovery in b slot through minimal adb
2. boot in twrp
3. install shrp recovery zip file (phone is still in b-slot)
4. change slot to a
5. reboot recovery
6. format data
7. install miui12
8. reboot
will this steps safely boot my device???
hello. first thank you very much for your hard work. i really apreciate.
so, i was on stock rom, freshly unlock the bootloader and flash twrp unofficial for android 10.
then in twrp i flash the zip installer and reboot to recovery.
once again in twrp i, like i'm use to, wipe successfully dalvik/system/data to erased all of stock rom.
then i format data (the one typing "yes" for confirmation) but it broke internal storage.
twrp does not show any file or folders. i rebooti in recovery but it won't show anything
i reflash twrp and the same... nothing.
so i went to fastboot mode and flash shrp, boot up in recovery but it was still not showing files or folders of internal storage. i wipe dalvik/system/data and reboot to recovey.
and this time it show folder but with codes like "QRGHQ9R4HGVUQE4RNG98TH9324HTG923" OR "66EFQ3KFK4TK34KT3K4K34K2KK2" and so...
what do i 'm doing wrong?
can i format data with out breaking internal storage?
the only thing i can do to get internal storage was flash stock rom again, i have not encrypted anything, i don't use microsd card, even i don't use password to unlock screen.
thanks in advance for your comments.

Ok you performed Format > And type "Yes" , actually this will Format your internal storage as well, RIP for your Data now else you took a backup earlier.
Now connect your phone to your PC with data cable , in mount section check if MTP is enabled if not then enable it , now your phone's internal storage shows in PC transfer Rom flash Zip files to internal storage, disconnect from PC and flash that rom.
Recovery choice is yours SHRP or TWRP
Note - Do not perform format > yes before flashing that zip.

Not able to flash recovery
I am on the latest stock android patch, probably that's why not able to flash recovery.
First I tried TWRP 3.3.1-2 Unofficial by Nikesh Kataria from the other post. As it said it supported android 10 with decryption and everything. But it didn't work.
Now with version 3.4.0-0, I am able to boot into recovery using platform-tools. But the files in /sdcard seems to be encrypted (judging by the codes shown instead of readable folder names).
Could someone please help me suggest any recovery which supports latest stock android 10 with decryption?
Is there a way around this?

Decryption will only work if you format data first. This is with every recovery. Has to be a factory reset of stock ROM or fresh install of custom ROM and from then twrp will be able to decrypt if it is installed, you're not installing it either by the way just temporarily installing it to inactive slot which will get wiped on reboot. For twrp to decrypt you must install it using the installer.zip by flashing it in you're temporarily installed twrp.img

Thanks for the help.
But after booting into twrp, how do I install twrp.zip. I even tried sideload that also errors out "Unable to find partition for path /cache".
May be I am missing some step. But here is what I have done.
Unlocked bootloader.
Booted into TWRP on inactive_slot(i.e. slot_b , in my case) with command fastboot flash boot twrp.img
Trying to install twrp.zip (failing at this step itself).

Some ROM has some recovery integrated within the OS. If i install that and then the ROM, will the ROM's recovery overwrite this?

When I try to install a ROM on my M3, the operation stops with an error.
First, I unlocked my M3, and flash the TWRP
Then I downloaded the ROM, and I attempted to install it.
But the operation was failed, and I changed with another ROM, because I thought the ROM was the cause of the problem.
The recovery in the screenshot is the PBRP, but I've tried it on TWRP, and the results are the same.
I think it's related to this problem, I couldn't select "System Partition" and "Product Partition" from the Mount menu,
and I couldn't find "System" option in the Wipe - Advanced menu.
Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

Before installing romom, you must first install xiaomi eu A11, or NO_OSS_VENDOR-MIUI.21.7.21_A11_MIGRATION, and then install custom rom.
Hi. Could anyone solve this problem? I also get this error when try to install custom rom. Tried different roms and the result is the same : Error 1.... Tried Fox recovery. The result is the same. Tried different modified recoveries for Poco M3 from different sources ... the result is the same. Tried last updated fresh versions of both TWRP and FOX and the result is the same. But when I try to install stock Global rom by recovery it installs without any problem and error. Installed Global 12.0.10 without any issue. The problem is only with custom roms. I want to switch to Pixel rom but still can not do that.... If anyone could solve this issue please respond and explain the steps .
Thanks!

Did you try to mount all partitions before flashing,?
did you try with this one https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=7161016148664800903?
The partitions may have been modified following multiple attempts, to reset everything to zero:
Try to flash the latest android 10 stock rom with miflash.(dont relock bootloader)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-use-xiaomi-flash-tool.4262425/
Then flash the last Twrp (link above).
Format data yes reboot twrp
i have the same problem i tried all the proposed solutions but nonthing worked. Had anyone had any success?
