Few questions before I buy this phone, please help. - LeEco Le Pro3 Questions & Answers

Hello,
I'm currently running Oneplus One but I feel the need to move to something new... I thought about Axon 7 but it is expensive and dev support is not so good. I found that ParanoidAndroid supports leEco Le Pro3 and was surprised to see how much development is going on this device. Before I buy this phone from aliexpress I have a few questions:
1. How stable are ROMs ( LineageOS, Paranoid etc)
2.How is sound quality on custom ROMs (like stock, worse than stock)
3.How is camera on custom ROMs (is there 1080p 60 fps recording? )
4.Are there any bugs on custom ROMs like problems with microphone , certain apps not working, AndroidPay not working etc.
5.How is your battery on custom ROMs, how much SOT you are getting ?
6.Would you spend money on this phone if you had OnePlus One ?
Thanks for all the replies!

Fastest ROM for G2?

Hi, im looking for a fastest ROM for our G2, i want to have ~5h SOT and good stability. Anybody know what is the best?
Many opinions here, in terms of speed stock LP is the slowest for me and aosp nougat the fastest. I definitely recommend aospextended3 and you can flash a custom kernel of you want more options specifically to save battery.
AOSP Extended v3.0 for sure!
I have G2 for almost one year, and still didn't flashed any custom ROM. But its rooted and have custom recovery.
I would like to try something at least 6.x+
What do you suggest guys?
I want stable, as much as possible bug free ROM. I do NOT need all the world customization options, or things like that. I will be fine with some basic stuff, yeah.
I wanted to give a try to Exodus ROM, but I waited for them to fix WIFI connect from list bug, but that will never happen, as they are stopped developing MM.
Camera and back led is not my main concerns, but I would like to have normal sound in Calls, Hotspot, NFC, Radio, Bluetooth and IR if possible And OK battery -> ~4 SOT like on this stock LP. Does I want too much?
Thank you.
I would recommend linage os 14.1. im using this rom very stable i dont find any issue for now. Sorry for my bad english.

[POLL] BEST Rom you are using

Hi,
I just want to know, according to you what is the best Rom you experience on Redmi Note 7 ? (basing on user experience, number of bugs, features, battery drain, responsivity ...)
It is just a personnal opinion and does not reflect the quality of rom for which the developers do a very good job
Tried Pixel Experience, Bootloggers, and AOSP extended and from those three AoSP is the best so far, best battery life, performance and fewest bugs.
Xiaomi.eu the best imo
Global stock excellent for me

I'm interested in MicroG/NoGApps [do not have the device (yet)]. Usually I prefer LOS, so if official LOS exists the MicroG builds from download.lineage.microg.org - because of hal1/3 issue on lavender official LOS does not look nearby. So best MicroG ROM options to avoid deodex services.jar seem to be [OFFICIAL][9.0]AospExtended v6.6 or Havoc-OS-2.6-[9.0]-[Official] or [9.0][OFFICIAL]crDroid v5.6[Lavender]?
Regarding Problems with video recording & WhatsApp video call and proximity sensor all those ROMs are the same?
Xiaomi.eu it's been a good ROM, can hit around 8~9 hours of SOT, I've readed sometimes up to 10hours
I wish you separated miui into 1.) stock and 2.) xiaomi eu.
which I can't try yet as I'm still waiting to have my bootloader unlocked.
Conclusion: Don't be a tester for underdeveloped ROM, stay safe and stable with stock ROM.

Are you serious? No one is holding a gun against your head and telling you to install roms. Those people spend hours and hours working so we can have multiple choices (not everyone likes miui) and they dont get a cent for their job. At least someone can do is install rom and give their feedback. These days roms are not making too much difference when it comes to overall performance cause phones have way better hardware and specs. But not so long ago when phones had 512mb of ram and you get them with fully bloated stock roms the only way of having a normal phone was to root and install a custom rom. So no need to trash talk if you dont like it dont use it. I personally havent tried single rom so far (tho i got my note 7 few weeks ago). I settled for xiaomi eu cause its stable with everything working and i dont have time to flash roms at the moment. But i will always be fan of pure android and OP if you like pure android and a bit smoother experience go for custom roms also battery will sure be better there. I heard evira kernel is good also you could try pixel experience (less customization) , aex or havoc for more customization.

Now AOSP is not really good as you expect. Its smooth but battery is not really better than stock and not all feature is working some hiccup occurs in 3rd party apps

Learn the difference between trash talk and stating facts.
You don't even use custom ROM.
Sure, I also want everybody else to use custom ROMs so they get developed more quickly?
I am surprised that lineageOs has not more vote on this topic. It was a very popular Rom on other devices but I think there is other good competitors on RN7. I will have a look on AospExtended some day as it seems very adopted.
I previously switched to custom rom 'cause I had some issues with MIUI. I don't know if it is always the case but MIUI work smooth with default launcher but when using alternative laucher (for example Nova), I had issues with notifications counter. It seems that MIUI kill apps severly in order to have a good battery life. For me, notification badges was killed also fitness app like Samsung Health or google fit. It was not the case with Mi Fit.
Even if I set the correct property in the app control, it seems that xiaomi apps always have always been managed better like if they have some heigher privilege.
I'm very happy in Stock Global MIUI 10 stable.
Rooted.
Evira Kernel.
FDE.AI Magisk Module.
Underclocked.
Debloated.
Happy about it.
I enjoy visual appearance very much and MIUI is just beautiful to my eyes.
To me:
- Xiaomi.eu is the best if you can't live without the MIUI stuff. It has almost all the best MIUI can offer, removes most privacy issues from stock, and adds more useful features.
- For custom ROMs:
+ I love AOSPExtended since it has just enough customizations to play with. I have it on my RN7 (lavender) and RN4X (mido) and it works perfectly on both. I love the way my 2 phones look and work almost the same.
+ ResurrectionRemix has a crazy amount of customization options. I used to have it on my RN4X. I've never had it on my RN7 but it's a very popular ROM out there.
+ LineageOS is great if you enjoy minimalism. I have it on my ancient phones to keep them light and clean.
You can try different ROMs to see which one fits your needs or you can stay on stock MIUI. You have the choice. Just pay respect to developers as they devote their time and effort to create and improve ROMs.
Cheers! :fingers-crossed:
Syberia.. Just because its battery life.
Agreed to the person before me, always respect the DEV.. Nowdays people tend to ask too much and have lil patience.
So far am going with miui eu global official.Have tried global worldwide official and chinese official and find the eu global the best. Also tried the eu custom rom revolution x aosp extended bootleggers havoc and pixel experience and found aosp extended to be least buggy for me.When it comes to sound and camera especially adding gcam the official miui eu is better but try the roms for yourself and decide.
Is there any noticeable difference between global version number and eu version number?? Or the 10.6.0 and 10.3.3 are the same thing with small differences??

The eu 10.3.3 is a custom rom based on the chinese rom with all the chinese apps debloated.I found it a bit buggy with apps like what's app.You also have the eeu global 10.5.0 which I find the best after trying worldwide global chinese miui and eu custom rom.Eeu global has less adds and is more debloated than worldwide global.Best to try them and decide which suits.
after trying many roms, stock eu is best...some apps not work on custom roms, so stock with evira pure 1.4 kernel is best ?

I'm a bit lost... what the difference between THIS and THIS ?? stable Vs weekly ?? one is for daily use, the second for "tests" builds ?
And what is the EEU version you're talking about ?? i just see the EU version... error typing maybe ?

Difference between xiaomi.global and EU ? What other working OS is recommended ?

Hi,
I just go my 9T this morning and it's already a struggle to get it the way I want with the apps I want.
Can't restore from my google backup and I don't see the phone on play.google.com to install manually but quickly all the apps.
I really don't like at all MIUI (even with another launcher) so I'm looking into changing the OS since Xiaomi is nice enough to let us do it.
I live in Switzerland (EU) but the phone has a global version, what the difference ? If I switch to EU would I get a better experience ?
I had mostly google phone (nexus, pixel, pixel 2) and one LG (4g) what ROM would you recommend me ? Is there a ROM that is stable and has fingerprint/bluetooth/camera working too ?
Also how do I know if I added my device for unlock ? I don't see anything showing to me that I did, no timer, nothing.
Thanks for the help,
rXp
For now every ROM like Pixel exp, paranoid, lineage etc are not official and not yet fully developed.
But changing to Xiaomi.eu rom could give you a better experience, but that's different from user to user. You can check the forum topics and read them through.
Definitely you'll have smaller battery life (8h instead of 10). I'm currently on 3-4h SOT but it's caused by terrible deep sleep optimization on all Xiaomi roms. (i mean, roms tha't were developed by xiaomi team). I wouldn't be surpriced if AOSP has better battery life than xiaomi one.
So, if you change from global to EU ROM which is developed by a fan community you should see some improvements in battery life and/or performance all around? I mean, it cant be any "worse" (depending who you ask) from global ROM.

[Discussion] my experience with custom roms in 2 years with this device

I am just telling my experience, all the Dev's are best, they are the ones who let me explore more in around android and it's versions.
I used custom roms on k5 plus 3gb for 2 years i think.
It was like first few months i used the original rom and then i voided the warranty with custom roms as i saw more possibility and newer versions of android coming better than what i had. I kept exploring every part of the phone, and whatever softwares i could use and get more from this phone. Few roms lasted around 4-5 months. I love the nougat roms still, there is a Android Q rom already here, amazing. It was a good experience, until this last few months i started to have battery drain faster when i would use the hotspot feature or use bluetooth for headsets, and gps was like the most battery drainer. I kept changing roms and seeing what would give more bettery life while using, the sleep/screenoff state uses like no energy and then opposite happen if i use in full brightness outside and gps
Then
today i just tried to see the stock rom backup is working or not, it did, and now i realise that the most stable rom is the stock rom that comes from lenovo. The battery life is just way better than any other roms (+1hour than what you get in current Oreo and pie roms), the performance is back, Dolby Atmos is back and works, the inbuilt vr works.
The apps which were quite heavy lagged in animations in custom roms, stock does it smoothly, and i didn't need to get a small gapps package for performance this time, stock has like most gapps i think and it's smooth.
New stuff like play protect, assistant, well-being, etc are now available for this old lollipop rom as well, most of the features in the future versions are now available to use with simple downloads and a few majisk modules, without harming performance.
i am not sure how secure the rom/os it self is with old security patches. But yeah original rom got to be top 5 in best rom/os available for this device in terms of overall usability in daily life.
Tell me what your experience has been, i will use the stock lenovo again now for sometime. And might get back to custom".:good:

just to add you could try the latest stock ROM our device got wich is MM, and tell us your experience. I'm on it since a lot of time, and I won't move from it anymore.
don't you know the link?
here it is:

it's a TWRP backup made by a Brazilian user and posted here on xda long time ago.

here we go:
go to TWRP and restore only /boot and /system partitions. that's it.
You could share with us how did you feel it compared with LP.
PS: everything is working flawlessly for me. a6020l37 (sd616 2gb RAM single SIM)
Okay I will check this out, also you don't need to quote long messages
Lenovo stock ROM wasn't that bad but after installing Android 10 (AOSP) Custom ROM on my Vive K5 Plus, it's feels a relief.
Yes there are some minor issues & bugs but over all satisfactory experience.
Personally I will always stick with this ROM over Lenovo stock 5.1
Thanks.

Yes, I extended a bit, but not that much as you unnecessary long OP, just to say stock ROM is more battery saver than any custom ROM.
BTW learn that this kind of experiences sharing shouldn't be posted in the guides section.

Yep aosp 10 feels good.... I will use it when it gets a bit more updates
AOSP 10 has got another build. I guess the last possible build since Dev may be moving out of Vibe K5 Plus platform.
I have just upgraded to the new build & it's stable enough.
Yes although performance can't be called butter smooth but it's better than previous build & most of the phone features that I may need in daily usage are working fine.
Standby time is good but SoT is on lower side, but I can't blame the ROM, it's my battery which is very old & worn out by now.
Thanks. :fingers-crossed:
The best rom with extended battery life was AOSP extended. i used it for 2 years with Dolby atmos mode and it worked flawlessly. Stock rom eats up battery too fast.

Best latest ROM where everything works

Hi, i just bought a second hand Nexus 10. I realy like it and for me had been a step up from an old asus tablet. Im using it for youtube, Netflix, NLziet(dutch TV app) and web browsing.
It came with RR OS V6.2.1 20181006 Based on Android 8.1
But what is the best smooth running rom with good battery life. I dont care for NFC or the camera but i like it as close to stock android as possible.
I see there are Lineage 16 and 17 roms but ive red in the comments that people are not really happy with it. And although i think its great that those guys make all those roms i never had a good experience with it. (on my Galaxy A3 2017)
So what is the best (mostly stock) ROM with the best performance and battery life (at least Android 5, i need it for a TV provider app) And why?
Ill try to make a list and name the pro's and con's so other people can use this information.
I'm asking for the same question
Used Nexus with stock - want the best(performance and battery life) rom out there, don't care much for minor things as NFC - as it will be used for Netflix/Youtube etc
Looking for fastest and stable rom that speakers and 3.5mm plug is fully working - don't want gapps so I'll get the best from its battery!
