Help please!! My phone has been hijacked!!Trudging - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Can someone please help me. My phone has been acting weird for a few months. I've spent so much time trying to figure out. I have my just recently found a lot of files that don't belong pin my phone or that show changes made using an open source project. Can someone please help me out with this? I want to find out who did this. I am going crazy over this.

Well, we need more details. What exact model number? What Android Version are you running? Which Android security patch? etc.
What exactly happened? Can you provide a list of all the apps you have installed on your device? Install List My Apps. Open the app, choose "Copy/Share as: HTML List". Press the copy button or press the share button and choose "copy to clipboard". Paste the text in a new file using the text editor of your choice and post the file as an attachment.
If you're rooted, post a log using a logcat reader of your choice. If you're not rooted, go to settings/developer settings and activate "Include bug reports in power menu". Hold the power button until the power menu comes up. At the bottom, press "submit bug report". Wait for the bug report to be generated. Meanwhile, press on the notification "Android System, Bug report #X is being generated". Give it a title and hit the save button. Wait for it to finish. You'll hear the phone vibrate once finished. Open the notification drawer and press the notification for the bug report. On the sharing menu, choose "Save to Drive" or your the cloud storage service of your choice. Download the zip file from there and post it here as an attachment.

[Guide] Upgrading from 2.1 (or 1.6) to 2.3 swiftdroid [Revised by Stryker’s Lounge]

Brief: Back up All - Contacts & Data (Remove Sim Card)
[Unlock Phone] [Install 'z4root.1.3.0.apk' 955.48kb] [Install 'Rom Manager' Android Market][Install 'Superuser' Android Market]
Ok the way we are doing this is
2.1 -> 2.2 fastboot -> 2.3.3
Start -
First Install Driver on PC:
'LGAndroidDriver_WHQL_ML_Ver_1.0_All_Win7'
Download this Link to PC: KDZ Updater Europe Open.zip 144mb
Put your phone into Download Mode
1. Take out 'Battery'
2. Put in 'Battery'
3. Hold down 'volume down' and hit 'Power-on'
4. The screen should display 'Download mode'
5. Plug in 'USB'
Extract KDZ Updater Europe Open.zip to your PC/Laptop
1. Run 'kdz_fw_upd'
2. Choose '3gqct' as the 'Type'
3. Choose 'Diag' as the mode
4. Click 'File icon' and select 'Europe Open+Fastboot.kdz'
then hit Launch Software Update
Please note: that you DO NOT have to let this flash finish (BUT IT IS EXTREMLY RECOMMENDED.. takes forever on this rom tho lol)
as we only need the fastboot part of it so leave it flashing for a few mins then remove the phone the updater software will come up with a few errors but just ignore them
Ok now we need the latest Recovery version of the swiftdroid software
Since i used 1.8 i will use this in this tutorial
Download Gingerbread 2.3.3 SwiftDroid_v1.9 95.2Mb
Ok extract the above file to your Pc/Laptop
Now take the 'update.zip' file from extracted folder and copy it to the root of your phones 'SD card'
Now put your phone into fastboot mode
1. Take out 'Battery'
2. Put in 'Battery'
3. Hold in 'Camera button' and press 'Power-on'
4. Keep camera button pressed until 'logo' disappears and it shows a 'blank screen'
5. Make sure phone is plugged into USB
Now open where you extracted folder the above archive (Gingerbread 2.3.3 SwiftDroid_v1.9)
1. Open 'CMD' within folder
2. Type 'flash_recovery.bat' to run
What this does is flash cyanogenmod recovery to your phone
which is a great tool for updating firmwares and restoring from bricks
Now we will put the phone into 'recovery mode'
1. Take out 'Battery'
2. Put in 'Battery'
3. Hold down 'Home button' and press 'Power-on'
4. Keep holding down the 'Home button' until the cyanogenmod recovery menu pops up (it takes a while.)
Now to install the 2.3 rom
1. Press the 'volume' down until 'install zip from sdcard' is selected
2. Then press the 'camera button'
3. Then press the 'camera button' on 'apply /sdcard/update.zip'
4. Then Press the 'volume' up and choose 'yes' and press the 'camera button'
Now this part will take a while (around 5-10mins)
it will say flash complete! when finished and will return to menu once done.
Menu will come back up...
Hit your 'Back button' and select 'reboot system now'
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note: if your phone hangs after reboot - I would like you to do below because you have ran out of room on your 'Internal memory' or 'Conflict'
Recovery Mode
1. Take out 'Battery'
2. Put in 'Battery'
3. Hold down 'Home button' and press 'Power-on'
4. Keep holding down the 'Home button' until the cyanogenmod recovery menu pops up (it takes a while.)
Wipe Data/Factory Reset
1. Press the 'volume' down to 'Wipe Data/Factory Reset'
2. Then Press the 'volume' up and choose 'yes' and press the 'camera button'
Now restart back at top of this page write-up
Put your phone into Download Mode
1. Take out 'Battery'
2. Put in 'Battery'
3. Hold down 'volume down' and hit 'Power-on'
4. The screen should display 'Download mode'
5. Plug in 'USB'
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tips..
When it loads it will ask you to slide the keyboard( lol what keyboard) the workaround this is to exit out of that part and sign in with ur google login in the market this will activate all the google apps and give you options to download gmail etc

Thank you for your responce, I have included the MB, KB etc
Just copy/paste program as is on search web and download exact MB,KB
We are new here so I have to wait for 9 before I can come back and readd Links
Hope this helps...
p.s careful of downloads not exact MB or KB they are fake/trojans
Rooting doesn't unlock the phone and also you don't need to install ROM Manager, the GT540 doesn't support it.

Thanks JackG256,
The title of cause does not state anything about unlocking phones but however if you
go to Stryker's Lounge AUS Facebook...
Stroll down to bottom the last on current and older posts you'll find two free options but if your phone is not in list or a member of second option being 'Vodaphone' and neither have it -
I would recommend using a retail store to unlock....

Thank you aaa801, As I said great first guide write-up, we fix tweaks up now and then that have been written because people overlook things, do not account for updates in their tweaks or forget that people are 'Novice Users'
Its not a good unless it works top to bottom....
My suggestion is to write it as you are doing it to guarantee that nothing is overlooked...
I could not suggest site of original post because they compete with this site..
..........
LEN
Only one don't use 'Lock Similar Card' drops you off provider
There are no problems batterylife is same don't forget to follow the setups guide after done 'Performance Setup CyanogenMod Settings' found in xda

[Q] s memo crashing

hi there
s.memo keeps Crashing I am on a stock Rom
2.6.35.7-N7000XXKJ4-CL641703
[email protected] #2
I bought it from amazon.de, i am in UK
basically if i try to launch s memo directly via shortcut on home screen (finger or stylus) i get
A blank screen for a few seconds or so then i
Get a force close dialog saying s memo has stopped
Working (process com.sec.android.widgetapp.diotek.smemo) has stopped unexpectedly....
I can create an s memo widget on the home screen
And if i tap on this it launches what i assume is s memo and i can draw etc and save etc, this then turns the widget into mini version of whatever i drew/wrote but if i tap on the saved widget i get the force close dialog, i am able to click the widget "+" icon on the newly saved widget and i can work on a new s memo doc, but after saving.... Force close etc.
I have completely wiped phone factory reset etc and nothing installed no joy. Any help would be much appreciated. Could not find any info googling relevant terms.
Thanks
s memo crashing
Try this to solve the problem:
1. Find /data/system/packages.xml with Root Explorer.
2. Make a backup of packages.xml right away in the same folder in case we mess anything up any need to restore it later
3. Copy packages.xml onto the root of your internal or external storage
4. Plug your device into your computer and copy packages.xml from the root of your storage over to your computer
5. Open the packages.xml on your computer with your editor of choice - I use Wordpad
6. Search for the string. The lines should look something like this:
<package name="com.sec.android.widgetapp.diotek.smemo" codePath="/system/app/SMemo.apk" nativeLibraryPath="/data/data/com.sec.android.widgetapp.diotek.smemo/lib" flags="1" ft="135586718b0" it="133696737a0" ut="135586718b0" version="1" userId="10044">
7. then, you need to put/add this: enabled="1" at the last line before the ">" sign. The lines should look something like this:
<package name="com.sec.android.widgetapp.diotek.smemo" codePath="/system/app/SMemo.apk" nativeLibraryPath="/data/data/com.sec.android.widgetapp.diotek.smemo/lib" flags="1" ft="135586718b0" it="133696737a0" ut="135586718b0" version="1" userId="10044" enabled="1">
Do this work?I have not rooted my phone but will do it just to solve this problem!
no that doesnt work
man I hope someone find a fix for this!!
I updated my firmware to the latest open Europe one and the problem stop! So the best to solve this problem is to.flash a new firmware!
Pure vida guys!

[YT3-X90L] Lock state - locked - Recovery image needed

Hello XDA-Community,
I've got a Yoga Tab 3 Pro YT3-X90L from a customer.
He was telling me, that he wanted to unlock his device with the pattern, mismatched for several times and now its locked and requires the owners google account. Or something like that. He never had the owners google account. He told me that his seller has activated his device for him. And he has no clue who it was.
Now here is my part.
I've researched and obviously it's a FRP. The owners google account information are stored in the FRP-Partition. And this partition won't get deleted with a simple factory resett.
What i've tried so far:
1.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCzrnnh2K1w I was able to follow this tutorial to minute 9:08. But the option "Email and password" is not there anymore. I guess they patched it with 6.0.1.
2.) I tried to flash a stock rom or twrp with LenovoDownloader(QcomDLoader). The stock rom file is: Lenovo_Yoga_Tablet_3_YT3-X90L_ENG_S200028_1609230146. even its a german device this file was the only one i could find. But the LenovoDownloader won't recognize my device. The windows stays white, no entries. I guess i installed the correct driver for this device and Windows recognizes them as removable device if i plug it in via usb.
3.) I've tried to use adb and fastboot boot oem unlock. But this commands aren't working in locked state.
4.) With a trick i could open the Settings and was full of hope to active the developer options to set usb debbuging to active. But this developer options aren't available either with this "user".
5.) There is an apk for showing the "Email and password" interface. I could install it, but it force closes right after starting it.
6.) I've tried several tools to bypass this FRP: WinDroid Toolkit, D-G Unlocker, Realterm, but NOTHING.
What could i do further? I'm out of ideas right now.
I've read about a factory_update.img but i cant find anything, except the stock rom file, for this device.
Or downgrading the device, so i could use the "Email and password" but. But i can't even flash the stock rom.
Specs for the device:
Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro YT3-X90L
Lenovo/YT3_l0_row_lte
6.0.1/MMB29M/LenovoYT3-X90L_S200307_170614
i appreciate any help i can get
greets
redplate
I've wrote it down. Hope this helps.
Situation:
"Confirm account: The device has been reset. To continue, sign in with a Google Account that was previously synced on this device. "
Explanation:
The device has been blocked by repeated input of the wrong password, pattern, etc. and can only be unlocked with the Google account of the owner.
A factory reset or hard reset does not help here, as the account information is saved in its own FRP partition and will not be deleted when the factory state is restored.
Solution:
1. Connect device to a Wi-Fi and Internet access.
2. Before confirming "Next", select another hotspot here
3. Go to "Advanced Settings" and change the proxy settings of any hotspot to Manual.
4. In the text input field of the proxy settings you enter now any word: e.g. Test
5. Now mark this word and select "Assist" in the context menu.
6. Selecting this "Assist" option opens the Google search application.
7. You can now not only browse the Internet through this search, but also search for and open installed programs.
8. We are looking for Chrome, open the internet browser, go to www.google.com and search for DPC test.
Link: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/sampl...-release/test-dpc-4-0-6-android-apk-download/
9. After downloading this application, go back to the Google search application.
10. Here we enter "Download" to search for the download application.
11. In Downloads we can now find and install the downloaded app.
12. To allow the installation of this .apk, you must allow the installation of "unknown sources" in the settings.
13. Either you go here on the installation itself on "Settings", or you search for "Settings" on the Google search app.
14. After completing the installation of the DPC-Test program, start it with "Open".
15. The app itself is will register as a device owner and now allows us to set up a new Google Account as owner.
16. If this is set up, it will also be included in the FRP partition.
17. In the event of a new factory reset, the device is reset, the DPC-Test program is removed and the device can be freshly set up in the factory settings.
after the takeover of the owner, the reason for blocking the device was not present anymore and the old owner was overwritten. This will be overwritten in the FRP partition aswell with the new account and the old one no longer queried.
You, mister, are my savior! Thank you very much.
Solve works for Lenovo Yoga 3 tablet
Just a big giant thank you! My dad passed away leaving me a Lenovo Yoga 3 tablet, unable to gain access due to information stored in the FRP partition. :highfive:

Hi. Actually I'm not into this anymore. Could be possible they removed it since it might was reported.
If I have any idea I'll let you know it

Much lower audio volume when recording video in Open Beta 6

After much testing OB6, this issue is bothering me a lot: videos recorded in it have a much much lower volume than stock 5.0.4.
I compared (diff) all audio related files in system/etc/ and /vendor/etc, including all mixer_paths*.xml between OB6 and 5.0.4 and they are all identical, no changes whatsoever.
I also tried rooted/not rooted, with or without V4a, with or without custom kernels (and changing mic gains in custom kernels), doesn't make a difference. Audio volume in video is terribly low in OB6.
I contacted OP, they sent me these instructions to take a log:
"Besides, can you kindly help to collect some logs so that we can look into it?
1. Input *#800# from dialing interface, enter "oneplus logkit", delete history log
2. Click "advanced", choose "save log type", enable all options, then click OK
3. Click "save log", when it informs you whether to reboot, click “cancel”
4. Click "get QXDM Log” > “audio related”, roll down >"open device log"
5. (Important) Reproduce the issue and take a screenshot to record the time
6. Wait for several minutes (better above 10 minutes), click “save log” again to stop it, enter QXDM Log and choose “close device log”
7. Enter file manager, choose storage, find the oem_log file, zip it and send it to us along with the screenshots. You can transfer the logs to google and share us a link.
Note:
After you share us the logs, please delete the file from your phone or it will occupy a lot of storage.
Thank you so much for your time."
But I have moved on to 5.0.4 and I don't have time to re-do all of this.
Can anyone confirm this issue?

Please help me and excuse me for my bad english. SM-J510FN/DS

I'm new and hoping that someone can help me here.
I have two Android devices and i know that i should use google, i used it for over 10 hours and can't find a solution...
I can show you a video or a photo of the proof of purchase, the phone has no value for me, only the files are important to me. I forgot my 4 to 6 digit pin on my second device, because i only used it two times per month. USB debugging and mobile data are turned off. Is there a way to bypass the pin or save the data?
DrFone has not listed my device. Have already tried in the recovery menu, the device to "mount". So I can enable automatic USB debugging. Developer option is I think off and the current Android version is probably 6.0.1. However, did not work, it came an error message
"failed to open dev block/bootdevice by name misc no such file or directory".
I'm not sure about this solution, but do you think that this will working for my problem ?
""1. You need to be rooted and cwm installed.(dont worry if you are not rooted, you can still root and continue to the procedure...)
2.you need aroma file manager.....
Steps:
1.copy aromafm-1.91.zip in your sdcard
2.reboot into recovery.(turn off, then hold volume up+home+power key)
3.install zip from sdcard.
4.select aromafm-1.91.zip
5.then go to settings scroll down and select mount everything, then come back to main menu...
6.now go to data/system and find gesture.key and delete it
7.exit and reboot..
8.when you restart you will still c pattern lock screen jst swipe""
Maybe you have other options ?
I believe in humanuty
Greetings from Germany and you guys are great !
