USB Connection to Dji Go App on Tab S2 (T719) - Android Drones General & Development

Hello!
I've go problem with connection to Remote Controller for phantom 4 pro. Remote Controller has USB host and I connect it tablet. There is too fast disappearing popup with question which USB app to run and i can't click OK. It not need USB debug.
The only solution is reboot tablet with connected USB and when it boot pop-up won't disappear and i can click OK and it works fine.
Popup title: "Choose an app for the USB device"
I have root. I tried MTP Enabler. Changing usb mode from mtp to ptp or rndis show popup for a 0.5 second.
How to solve this problem (dsiappearing popup)? There is any permission that i can set? How to debug it, is there any logs?

Install the official Lineage 14.1 ROM. It works great and fixes the USB sometime issue with DJI Go 4. You won't regret it. Everything works including fingerprint reader. DJI Go works great, even when recording screen with DU Recorder. I used to see overheating messages on the Samsung firmware, but no issues with Lineage.

how to install lineage on t719? It is fo r @nswenson

There is no lineage for version with LTE. There is the same partition table? Bootloader?
Lineage is for Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 2016 (Wi-Fi) (gts28vewifi) - T713
We need it for Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 LTE (2016) (gts28velte) T719

I would be interested in this as well, as I have the same issue with my DJI RC.
I also have the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 LTE (SM-T719Y).
Please help ...

Would it be worthwhile reloading Nougat again???
Yt2...

After homework I have found a way to connect.
Start RC.
Start Aircraft.
Plug in pad (yes you will get the flashing screen).
Turn off the RC.
Turn back on RC.
All should be good.
Thai will have to do until Samsung or Android does an update...

This is not working - there is no video, fake connection.
You have to restart tablet with connected RC.

I just flew with mine today using the above method.
It is a pain in the butt but it will have to do until Android do a fix.
I have turned on developer mode.

Chris
Same problem here, only fix I can find is to reboot the tablet once rc and rpas are on. Pain in the butt but still better than being forced to use apple!

Hi Guys,
I have successfully downgraded my SM-T719Y LTE (Version 2) Tab S2 to Android 6.01.
Back to normality again with no hassles. Yippee.
I will post links shortly...
Yt2...

Turn everything COMPLETELY off. Power up RC and then the Mavic. Let them connect. Then plug in the USB cable and fire up the S2. Should load the Go 4 app directly and you should be up and running. If not just start the app after the tablet has fully booted. You have to do this every single time though.

Hi did you tried LineageOS 15.1 with DJI GO4 ?

Have you tried to enable MTP connection?
You could always return it to stock?
Download a stock ROM, stick the Tab into Download mode, and flash the ROM using Odin. It'll probably wipe the data on it but you'll have a working 3.2 Tab again.

You just forgot to turn on the connection to your pc as the second poster said....
Also if you get the latest ics build from pershots website and current gapps it really is bug free minus the camera

[Q] TF101 doesn't connect with PC through USB

Hi guys,
After upgrading to ICS I've been unable to connect my pad to the PC. This is usually not a problem, but last night I needed adb to re-root it. Nothing worked, nothing connected. Tried installing drivers and the Asus sync, but no luck.
Is this a known problem? Anyone got a solution? I doubt it's the hardware as I connected a few days before upgrading...
Found a solution. Went into Settings->Storage and turned MTP off and back on.

THANK YOU! Everytime I plug in my ET4G to the dock to charge it that stupid MTP crap always comes up. Had no idea I could disable it. Thanks!
yeah, this doesn't always help... I had the same problem when i first got my TF101, and i tried all the tricks, the one mentioned here with mtp, enabling and desabling debug mode, turning off and on with usb plugged in, and some others i can't remember... nothing.
In case anyone else is looking for the answer and the quick tips don't work, what did it for me was installing Android Revolution HD rom. I've read that this problem could also be bootloader related.
Anyways, cheers.
How to connect an ICS device to your computer
Step 1. Connect device to computer via USB
Step 2. Set USB connection as Media Device (MTP) (p.s. if you use a Mac you need to download Android File Transfer)
Step 3. Disable USB debugging if enabled
I hope this helped.
when you need turn off MTP it mean your computer doesn't have driver.
If you need using MTP go to asus page and download driver. it's easy to install driver ^^...
recently I can't understand why same file but the computer at my office can't install that file instead other computers working normal... maybe my work place using old windows version...
Like I wrote earlier - mine was actually in MTP mode, but I had to switch to camera mode and back to MTP for it to start working. Thanks for the replies, though. Hopefully it will help some other people with the same problems

PC no longer recognizes Nexus 4: USB driver failure

Problem: USB driver failure for Nexus 4. The android composite USB driver loads. Portable device driver (MTP) does not.
I have the latest v7 Google USB drivers in the extras 4.2.2 SDK folder, and pointing the driver install to this folder has worked in the past. Now, I never get the portable device MTP to install. I have both windows 7 and windows 8 machines that used to recognize the phone. I suspect my phone USB firmware is corrupted ( or something else software related?), but don't know how to find or make a zip file I can flash via custom recovery to test my theory.
I've tried multiple USB cables, all which have worked in the past. Simultaneously, I can only charge at USB rate. This all started occurring a week ago.
Any recommendations?
LG-E960
A different Nexus 4 connects fine, mine has no response to USB. It will charge off the PC, but no adb device found, no fastboot device found, no portable device MTP. I think something is wrong with my USB firmware on the phone.
LG-E960
Are you sure usb fast charge is not on?
User failure in this case, install these drivers from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1998650. Delete all excisting usb drivers and then reconnect to usb and prevent/stop windows from installing drivers. Open device manager in windows and select the N4 and install the 0.72 drivers and you`re done.

I'm having the same problem, ADB, MTP none of it works, I've tried every method including yours. Worst part of it is that nothing happens in the device manager when i plug in Nexus 4 so i can't update drivers manually too. It used to work great with both MTP, ADB etc. Stopped working all of a sudden...Help please anyone. The phone is pretty much useless without MTP or ADB for me.
I too,, have tried to clear all old drivers and use the universal driver, but nothing works. I went through the tedious windows 8 advanced startup to allow unsigned drivers.

This sucks. I still cant resolve this, and 4.3 is coming. Maybe I'll try Ubuntu.

Problem with Nexus 4
Any updates about this?
I'm going through the same thing with my Nexus 4.
No response to USB, except charging.
No ADB, No Fastboot, No MTP nothing at all, it's as if the system detects only a device that uses power from the USB port and nothing else.

It was the same with my phone. Wasn't detected on other computers too.
Here's what led to the problem resolution (kinda):
1. Formatted /system, /data, /cache, and flashed CM 10.1.2: http://get.cm/get/jenkins/34261/cm-10.1.2-mako.zip
2. Restarted the phone, then I came upon this forum post which mentioned that Trickster MOD Kernel Settings should be used to test for fast charge.
3. To install Trickster Mod I had to have Play Store (and thus the GApps package), so I rebooted into recovery.
4. After flashing the GApps package and rebooting the phone got detected and I was back in business.
5. Immediately flashed the factory image JDQ39 (it was the one I had available at the time.
6. Received the 4.3 OTA update about an hour ago and the phone is again back to not functioning on USB.
(Worth mentioning here that before this fiasco started, I was on CM 10.1.2, linked above.)
-- Update --
Rebooted a few times, phone appears on USB now and is there consistently, I'm beginning to think this is a hardware issue but I cannot apply for a warranty claim until the problem is consistent enough.
I've been having the same problem the last few weeks. I am on v4.3 stock. The phone is not being detected in any computer i've tried. I've used several USB cords and none of them work. The phone can be charged, but only in USB mode, so charging is slow, even when using AC charger.
I think this problem was triggered by charging on a cheap car charger. The Nexus 7 also can get into this state from what i've been reading.
I haven't come across a fix yet, so I think I'm going to RMA it before the warranty runs out.. its to bad though, I think this is a software problem related to 4.3. I used a lot of cheap chargers without this problem coming up before upgrading to 4.3.
Just go to storage settings and just try uncheck and re check the option of USB connection . It worked !! for me

Tried that. I also replaced the USB flexible circuit card ($25 amazon) and nothing changed. I'm glad their are people like xDA member, enfrant, that provides zip files for updating the phone, else I'd be stuck with a non- updateable nexus 4, which would be a nightmare for a flash junkie.

Very basic step but I've seen it being missed before:
- Go to Settings
- Storage
- Menu > USB computer Connection
- Check Media Device(MTP)
If this was not checked, checking it will make your computer download the necessary drivers if not present already.

(XT1563) USB Problems

Hi, my brother got this phone with RR 7.1.1 installed and it seems like the rom has lots of bugs because it reboots from time to time and instead of botting to the system it bots to TWRP, I downloaded Lineage OS to install it but the phone isnt detected at all by the PC, like, it wont even tell me there is a new device connected, the usb port is working because I can charge it just fine with the charger but nothing works when connecting it to the PC, anyone has faced this problem or knows how to fix it? Also, can I just downgrade to stock marshmallow?
Thanks in advance.

Go to settings, developer options and enable debugging mode. When you will connect via usb it should ask for authorization. Post authorizing, pull down the menu and set usb to data transfer.
There are other options like using memory card or transfer via xender.

Have you installed the correct drivers? There may be a clash of drivers too. Best thing is to use USBDview and uninstall all drivers and then install the correct drivers.
You should have USB Debugging enabled in Developer Options in the Phone. When you initially connect, it will only charge. You should have a notification about it on the phone. Pull it down, choose to change the option and select MTP. Then there will be another notification whether to authorise the PC connection. Select to enable it always. It should now work. If not, there is something seriously wrong.
For the custom ROM I would recommend official lineage 15.1 use open gapps 8.1 pico and is daily driver material been using it as my daily driver for two weeks plus

Can confirm that. Because of it´s good processor, it still is way better, than a cheap beginner phone like Nokia 3 e.g. .
with crappy MediaTek SoCs for which there is no real support, even on XDA.

Does Windows make a connection sound, if you connect it? If so and it´s just not displayed in explorer, that´s a broken driver, had it quite some times as well. If there´re a lot of USB connections to the pc, driver can break down and you have to delete and reinstall.
