Build.Prop and Phone.Prop Files - Honor 8 Lite Questions & Answers

Guys can anyone please share me Build.Prop and Phone.Prop Files of Honor 8 Lite
If possible From all the EMUI versions

have to wait for a little more bro, because no one rooted yet I think.

Why do you need this?

To migrate some of the emui features from higher end devices to lower end devices

Then you can simply ask for these props in a single device with EMUI. You don't need to collect from all Honor devices. Another thing, it's not as simple as copying lines from build.prop to get the features. Maybe one or two feature will work, but there's a reason why a certain feature isn't available in a certain device. Here's a clue: "Hardware limitation."

Ya know that but let me give a try .
Hardware limitations exists I know that

build.prop can only get some little things, not too much, but anyway, try is a try,
but i dont hink that it will lead a good result, good luck

Already I have tried few hacks and they seem to working on lower end device need to check few more if they are worth to post I will do so.

I usually just port Custom Rom's to devices. Not really port I guess, just have to change the device tree. Do a little bit of kernel stuff to.
I don't consider myself a dev, but I will be getting one of these, once the "Sand" version is available.
I am wondering how much more difficult everything is going to be between Lollipop/SELinux and 64-bit capability.
This will be my first Nexus device as well - closest I've had up to now is running GPE on my M8.

Yeah exactly. OOS is near stock. Moto g3 is running MM but we're still waiting :/ and should probably wait till the last day of the Q1. Or probably they'll miss even that date and come up with an apology letter like they always do :/

I am pretty sure drivers are written usually by the hardware makers, so that'd be Qualcomm for the SoC or whoever made the fingerprint sensor, camera, other sensors etc. Skins - I ain't seen much skinning by OPO except for changing the dark mode and colour of stuff when in dark mode. Security - this is why they need to release latest android, because google is fixing 100's of issues.
Anyway I am shocked that even the slow manufacturers like LG have upped their game and have 6.0 and Samsung has leaked theirs too. I usually wouldn't care but custom ROMs not that attractive without Fingerprint sensor and Laser AF.

Question: what happens if you hide the navigation bar? I mean, how did they replace Back - Home - Recent buttons?
Aaand: is there a dark theme built-in by chance?

I use to be a "gotta have it now" and would flash pretty much any rom that came along, when I had the Dell Streak 5, and the Galaxy Note (1). Since I got the Mate 2, then the 8, then the 9, I haven't flashed anything but OEM official builds, haven't even bothered to root or screw with it.
For me, my experience with Huawei, their roms have been so stable, I haven't had the urge to jack around with it. I don't mind you guys doing it though, makes it easier for us old timers that don't want to bother with it anymore.

Me too. There really isn't anything else for the Mate if you wanted to flash at least officially or on here. But yeah, I can't really think of anything I want that it doesn't already have. Nothing I could really improve. I thought I was all 100% for the Pixel 2 but now I'm thinking Mate 10!

Hi mate,
What is the kernel number, is it still 4.1.18 or it got up to 4.4?
Do you actually feel any real life difference in general at all between Nougat and Oreo?
Do you think that stand up time/drain has improved as to the few wake ups restrictions in Oreo?
Anything significant that you like/hate or is changed?
Thank you for your reporting here!

The kernel version is showing as 3.10.20-20436-468, built on Sep 14. Security patch is September 5. Whether or not it's reported correctly, I don't know.
I'm not really using it as a daily driver, but it does feel a little bit different. Some of it may be because of Android O, some of it may be because of EMUI 6. It seems smoother, but that's so objective.
Drain seems better than before, but I haven't done an actual scientific comparison.
I've not yet found anything major to like or hate.
Some other people are installing this build now, so hopefully they will chime in with their opinions.

I got it on my P2XL and its noticeably less laggy compared to Pie. The strange thing is that the animations feel a lot smoother which could potentially fix some issues if ported to the N6. Also I love the dark theme that's included.

Happy that people are continuing with N6. I can't bear the skinny screens & mono speaker of newer phones. Skinny screens suck.
If Moto or LG (don't trust other manus build quality) built a 6"+ stereo spkrs 16:9 phone I'd probably buy it used in a couple years for under $200.

Edit: new code dropped at https://github.com/MiCode/Xiaomi_Kernel_OpenSource/tree/cas-q-oss
Great news good to see some development may start soon hopefully.
It's been available for a while, as you can see the most recent commit is in March. However, the source tree is not completed. It's one of the reasons for the lack of development.

That, along with some other reasons, is why till now there is no rom.
would there be someone who would be able to make a custom rom from the kernel

Devs have lives too, and this is just the thing they do in their free time, so they work at their own pace. Not every devs want to report everything, nor do they have to.
Things will get released when they are ready. Rushing the devs will just increase the chance that they will abandon everything.

Personally, I don't like MIUI, nor MIUI based Roms: eu, ROS, mix, etc.
I think it's worth to wait a while, even one month, for install a decent AOSP based ROM on this brilliant hardware. I made that on my Mi Max 3 and I am very happy now with the phone.
