App Data shows 0.00 - Fire HD 8 and HD 10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Currently I am unable to install any apps. All apps, including system apps, currently show 0.00 in data storage and what not. I haven't done a reset yet. I am curious to know why this happened and if there is a way to fix it or see what caused it, before I try a reset.
My experimenting: See here and here. It apparently resulted in the 0.00

Did a factory reset and everything seems to be in working order again. But if anyone has any idea what might have happened, I'd love to listen. This interests me a great deal. Up until this point I was under the assumption, without root, you couldn't change ANYTHING in /system/ regardless of what it is. So in reality, this shouldn't have happened.

DolphinHD power leak? Fresh1.0.1 with netarchy3.7.3c

I can't pinpoint where this started exactly.
I went from 'starting over' with the 1.47 w/root to eventually Fresh1.0.1 and netarchy 3.7.3c and DolphinHD has been killing my battery, whereas previously I had never seen this from SpareParts:
i cant post images apparently or even links so add i26 and i32 respectively to these pics:

98% of FC'S

So fc's are either from your data or a bad flash. If you had any themed apps or themes they are not always compatible with a newest version rom. Also sometimes you can go to manage applications push the app that is fc and clear data and that might resolve your issue. Wiping data is absolutely a must. I usually don't restore data from cwm from old roms onto new roms. Ti backup I use to restore apps. I don't have any of the fc's that I've been seeing everyone have with flashing new roms. Please wipe your data so there is not extraneous posts about this in the rom threads.
this goes without saying.

Sudden Battery Impact

Battery problems are a dime a dozen, I know, but this one cropped up in the last few days and I want to check if it's affecting anyone else.
I have a stock, 5.0 I-9505G, and the kernel (Android OS) and Android System have spiked in usage the past week. I suspect it's connected to a Google Play Services update, but I haven't seen other reports on it.
Anyone else's stock kernel acting out? What would your all recommend?

It's caused by an app, some setting in your phone etc. If you can't figure it out, then try a factory reset.

Recently started getting weird gradient in most apps

Can close the thread. Still don't know why it happened but a restart fixed it.
-----------
Is this a known thing? I first noticed it in the Google Messenger app but it seems to have spread to most apps. I'm running stock (MPH24.49-18) without root on Verizon.
Included Tapatalk screen as an example, can barely read the recent changes block in the play store due to the gradient.

Ok, that's really strange. Phone had been running for 400+ hours so I went ahead and restarted it. Now everything looks fine again... even the screenshot I attached to this post.

Random Apps Installed themselves on my phone overnight, SystemUpdates & MFVKeyguard

Random Apps Installed themselves on my phone overnight, SystemUpdates & MFVKeyguard
So these random apps installed themselves on to my phone overnight while I was sleeping. I can't uninstall them, and I can't find them in Apps or in the System Apps section of the device to disable them.
This is the second time this has happened I took the advice found in a similar thread that said to just factory reset the phone and disable install apps from unknown sources, I did this. Two days later this **** is back on my phone.....
Suggestions?
