Will unlocking bootloader of Redmi 3S wipe the internal storage or not?

Will unlocking bootloader of Redmi 3S wipe the internal storage or not?

I already replied in your thread.

Try after 1 week, you'll be successful

This is normal. If you add an Device to your Mi-Account you must wait for 72 hours before you can unlock it.
This is a safety feature.

i am having same issue plz help ....i sent request to mi community its been only 1 day should i wait for 1 week ?
actually my mobile cant find any network even can make emergency calls its is showing sim card carrier name but cnt find any network dats y i need to flash another rom,.....can u guys help me with this network issue so dat i dnt have to flash another rom .....if anybody plz rpl fast ....?

Install China stable rom and then try to unlock.

I also get that message when running MI Unlock app "current account not bound to the device". My newly bought Mi Max 2 encountered bootloop after using the updater app to upgrade to MIUI 9. I logged into the MI acc to check the devices bound, can only find my old redmi info. How can I add devices into the MI acc.? I cannot use my phone to do this as it is currently in bootloop mode.

You need that phone to add it to the device list. Go to the service center and get it back to stock ROM for free(if you have an existing warranty).

I did that ytd. As my phone is a china export model, svc ctr does not have the ROMs to flash it, and Xiaomi doesn't allow them to service export models, so the guy said.
Juz curious, could Xiaomi update the mi acc using some internal software that do not need the actual device to bind the acc?
They are not so stupid as to lock themselves out without a loophole somewhere to gain entry back to their security procedure.

Yes they can do it.
But you can't do it
So my advice.. Falsh a fast boot international rom
Then try to unlock

I am a noob on android phones so need your guidance. Right now, my mi max 2 is in an endless bootloop. I can only do recovery & fastboot.
Any tutorial write-up on how to flash an international fastboot rom at bootloop mode?
I can use ADB to remote connect from pc to phone via USB cable but errors on device lock whenever I do a fastboot oem unlock or even fastboot oem edl..
Any suggestions on how to unlock bootloader without waiting for official permission?
Thks

Since you can access fastboot, try to flash stable rom with miflash tool. You can find the flashing guide in the miui website under downloads. I don't think you need an unlocked bootloader to flash the stable rom(not developer rom).

ok, thks. Right now, I have returned the MM2 to the shop. They have their own technicians to trouble-shoot. If they give up by early next week, I'll have it back to try. Will read up the flashing guide first..
Cheers

I juz had a quick look at the flashing guide under "fastboot" method since my MM2 is in bootloop and fastboot & recovery are the options left.
By the way, "recovery" option is no go because MM2 is on mi-recovery 3.0 and the 3rd choice in the Main Menu is "connect to Mi assistant"...is this the mi pc suite or something else?
What is shown in the flashing guide is "mi-recovery 2.0.1" under images. It seems the older version 2.0.1 has more/better options than the newer one 3.0...
Fastboot mode is also a dead end -

★ Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Latest China Developer Version Fastboot File Download
★ Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Latest Global Stable Version Fastboot File Download
Those with black stars are locked so I need to apply for unlock with the Xiaomi folks...
Would appr your advice.

The last part of the guide -
If the flashing guide could not help you, please download Mi PC Suite here
(After Mi PC Suite is installed, make sure that your phone is in fastboot mode, connect your phone to a computer, and select the correct ROM file to flash)
I tried the mi pc suite umpteen times. My MM2 was on fastboot connected to my pc via usb cable, pc suite said "connect under normal mode before switch"
What it probably meant was - connect the MM2 with miui running before switching to fastboot. I hope my interpretation was wrong because my MM2 is in endless bootloop and cldn't start up to miui level. So mi pc suite won't help?

Since you have given the device for servicing, the best and easiest way to get it back to working is by replacing the motherboard. But let's wait if the technicians find a more cost-reducing way to fix it.

I was trying to flash China Developer rom before unlocking bootloader as it is a mandatory requirement.. But whenever I try to enter download mode or edl mode, my phone reboots and nothing happens ! Please help me out of this situation if anybody has faced this situation or know s how to resolve that issue kindly come forward and reply ! Thanks in advance
For first you should know that if you write this into the development section nobody will read it. But to answer your question I don't know about this problem from others. You may can try it using miui updater app.

For entring in EDL mode try to connect your device in switch off mode with pressing of both volume+- together.

Hello abhi.goel!
I'm here with the same problem. Can't enter download mode.
Did you find any solution?
Download the ROM and copy it in the internal memeory, go to the Updater App and select "Choose update Package" and confirm and wait for 15 odd minutes till it update via recovery.
If you are flashing from stable to Developer ROM than all data will be wiped, so backup the data on external memory before doing this.
see i faced same problem.. i will suggest just flash global developer rom through updater app, register for unlock request, even if you get the approval within 1-2days wait at least 1 week, meanwhile keep trying everyday using miunlocktool.. & keep that in mind, while you are trying to unlock the bootloader your device must be online on i.mi.com, & use your registered phone no to log in in the miunlocktool & your device.. hope it will work for you too!!

Redmi pro rom problem

Hi everyone!
I have bougth a Redmi Pro on Gearbest and it came with Chinese/English Version of MIUI.
After a week of usage, i turned off my xiaomi and when i turned back on, it stucked on a Mi logo. Far as i discovered searching on web, it was a bug that other peopel have reported too.
I took a opportunity of having this bug to fix, to put other rom on the phone. A rom with Portuguese language witch is my mother lang.
I tried to put the new rom via "SP Flash took" with the fastboot mod but without success.
I requested the unlocking on Xiaomi Unlocking site and when they repplyed and i connected the xiaomi to the computer, the program (XiaomiMiFlash) gave me an error message telling ""Couldn´t verify device. Current account is diferent from the account info in the device"
No i can´t do nothing with the phone.
Can you guys have some idea how can i solve this?
Thank you all!
There is a good chance that the phone is already unlocked.
What was the problem with fastboot? Maybe drivers issue?
Have you tried flashing TWRP? If it takes then the phone is unlocked and you can proceed with flashing the xiaomi.eu or globerom.

About the Fastboot i putted the phone on fastboot mode and i disabled the Driver Signature Enforcement on Windows. I connected the phone to the computer and started to run the SP Flash Tool. After the process was completed it wont gave me any result because the phone still stucked on Mi logo..
I did'n tried the TWRP because in every tutorial tells me that i need to go to the Developer Mode and activate the USB debugging i can not access to that because the phone don't give me more than the Mi logo.
hmm the fastboot method should have worked. Have you tried it on another computer, maybe 32bit windows?
When finished flashing with miflash in fastboot did it say it was ok at the end or did it give you an error? Als tried to reboot a few times after flashing without usb cable in the phone?

I'm out of ideas at this point.
I had some trouble with fastboot that my phone did restart when in fastboot mode.
Then i had to change the order of plugging in the cable and starting the program but after that all worked.
No idea what next ...
I had this issue with a Redmi 3. I can't remember the exact solution but I believe you have to have the developer ROM installed in order to unlock the bootloader. Maybe if you search for an anterior model such as the Redmi 3 you will find more information on how to load your ROM. I'm sure that it's the same method for most Xiaomi phones. Good luck!
I heard about do a Hard Reset but i dont know how to do that because i cant access to the OS of the xiaomi.
Is there a way to do a hard reset with the xiaomi stucked on Mi logo?
Tks!
Happy 2017 for all!
I tried to put my phone one Recovery Mode but it is blocked. Its like the phone on this video:

How can i unlock this?
I never could get into the xiaomi recovery either but i managed to flash twrp through fastboot though.

Hi
Does your problem with sp flashtools and flashing the ROM be solved ?
Sent from my Redmi Pro
I had this problem, but I'd installed TWRP already. But you shouldn't need USB Debugging on to flash TWRP. If you manage to flash TWRP, flash a new ROM (I recommend xiaomi.eu (I think they have Portuguese)) and wipe the Dalvik cache, /cache, and /data (you probably won't have to wipe /data/media).
Miui themes
Sorry will start new item
Have you tried a different cable, that is why mine wasn't recognized at first.
I'm having the same problem here. The phone rebooted itself when I changed the locale, and hung at the Mi logo. I already had TWRP flashed. I also took the opportunity to install a new ROM; the Global Dev ROM. It installed with no errors and I wiped the Dalvik, cache, etc. Still hangs at the Mi logo, but this time without the little loading dots at the bottom. Any suggestions?
Update: I can bring it back to the original state with the loading dots and "powered by Android" at the bottom with a backup I took before flashing the new rom, but still no progress.
I managed to restore my phone using the video:
Flash Xiaomi Redmi Pro Using SP Flash Tool [Locked Bootloader]
I can't post links since I don't have enough posts here yet, but search for it on Youtube.
Update: It seems like the unlocking permissions on my account have been retroactively rejected, I wonder if that has something to do with it. I also can't seem to find the Global ROM for the Redmi Pro anymore, just the China one. Does anyone have a link for the official Global ROM on the Xiaomi site?
Update 2: Suddenly I have unlock permission again, without reapplying, so that's cool. I installed the Eu HMPro ROM, everything's working well so far.

You could try dowloading the official rom and then download the CHINESE version of mipc suite then enter fastboot and connect the phone
Normally the chinese mi pcsuite automaticly detects the phone is in fastboot mode, you could use google translate to translate it all just choose redmi pro on model selector (the top selection bar)the text there is untranslateable just choose the one that says pro
And then under it chose the one that translate to chinese
After That there's two tick box under it, choose the ROM you downloaded
After that chose the one that translate to install brush package, if it doesn't work choose the download brush package next to it
Thus method worked for me when my phone bricked hope it helps you

How to flash stock rom to Mi Note 2 with fastboot only (no PC)

Please could someone guide me on how to flash either a stock rom onto my Mi Note 2?
I have been told by an admin elsewhere on here that it is possible to re-flash the stock rom that is already on a device using fastboot but I do not know how.
I am presuming no PC will be involved as the current system will not boot fully and therefore cannot be used to set USB developer options etc.
Thanks in advance.
A PC is used in this operation. You will need fastboot and adb drivers and mi flash. You can find lots of tutorials about the fastboot flash on google. Even on Mi Note 2's subforum on the miui forum.

Hi @alexmanu1: Oh dear, then I'm still stuck because my phone cannot get through the android setup screens. It has been like this since I did a simple factory reset.
I posted this on the MIUI forum and a moderator told me that I did not need a PC to re-flash the same stock rom already on the phone. His response is here: https://en.miui.com/thread-4960565-1-1.html
The reason I need a non-pc solution is that following a factory reset, I go through the setting of region, wi-fi etc but after I select "set up as new", my phone is stuck on "Checking for updates" (no matter how long I wait or what wifi I am on).
I thought I would try to install a new stock rom to see if that would fix the issue. However, in order to unlock with the Mi bootloader unlock tool, I need to enable some options under developer menu, which is not possible when I cannot get to any menus :crying:. Also, I cannot utilise an SD Card (if that would even help), because the Mi Note 2 does not have an SD Card slot. Furthermore, I cannot write to the phone's storage because the phone defaults to USB charging mode so nothing is visible when connected to a PC with a USB cable.
Any further comments on what the MIUI moderator told me (or any other ideas I could pursue)?
Thanks!

I have a Mi 9T Pro Global Version and today I received the MIUI 12 update. I didnt really like the update so I decided to go back on MIUI 11. I downloaded the Mi PC Suite (c.mi.com/thread-2224746-1-0.html) and did a backup. I downloaded the MIUI 11 Global Rom ( c.mi.com/de/miuidownload/detail?device=1700361) and updated it throught the PC Suite (selected the MIUI 11 ROM). Now my phone doesnt turn on and there is the message "The system has been destroyed". And I can access the fastboot but I dont know what it is.
I'm really desperate and dont know what to do..
Please can someone help me!

I did the same thing today. Easiest solution (which worked for me)
Mi unlock - login on same account as on phone, and unlock device (might take few attempts - for me successfull was 3rd, before that I had weird errors in Chinese)
When unlocked, then use mi flash to flash v11 and check last option on right bottom (full and lock?)
After that my phone came to life again
