ASUS Zenfone AR Benchmarks - Asus ZenFone AR Questions & Answers

Post some benchmarks here. Include any custom configurations. If there are any specific benchmarks anyone wants to see let me know and I will run and post results.
Geekbench Score (factory stock)
Single-Core: 1834
Multi-Core: 4452
Antutu v6.2.7 (factory stock)
Total: 155923
3D: 60541
UX: 52441
CPU: 34607
RAM: 8334

Attached my results (AnTuTU 6.2.7, some apps already installed).
P.S: What I noticed comparing the performance to other SD 821 based devices is that it seems consistently showing slightly better UX and Int math CPU performance, but a bit slower in the memory tests.

Is 9047 good for ram?

I believe it could be better but as-is a score of 9000+ is sufficient. It indicates the 8gb of ram is efficiently being utilized during read/write operations. I'm hoping some future updates improve the score as I've seen benchmarks from other 821 devices that were 10000+ (as zoejif also hints at) on their ram score. The phone has yet to show any signs of concern multitasking or running resource intense apps though.

so whats the rank of Asus Zenfone AR in antutu?

The body is aluminum and the back is leather. The phone feels good in your hands and does not induce fear of dropping while holding it.

Samsung Galaxy III "Leaks"(Might be the real thing)

For those of you interested in the Galaxy III, here's a leaked video which shows it. I didn't see a thread about it in this section, unless I'm blind(Or if it was deleted).

No it's not It's either the Galaxy M / Galaxsy s2 plus Samsung has bashed it already
the specs are what i expected... the only question is ... pentile or no pentile? keyboard or no keyboard (on Sprint)?
Yeah i say it's the sg2+

Android Police are saying S3 also
http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/0...-1-4ghz-quad-core-processor-and-720p-display/
Its the s3... I doubt they make a sgs2+ that's stupid. This isn't bad spec wise anyways... this sounds more realistic. 2.0ghz quadcore exynos and 2gb of ram is a little to much hype. 1.4ghz quadcore and 1gb ram sounds just about right.

I think 2GB RAM would be pushing it, but I do seriously hope this comes with the 5250 dual A15 processor. That's a significant upgrade IMO.

From my experience, Samsungs may "feel" cheap, but they are more rugged than any HTC friends and family have had. Sure those thin metal accents look and feel nice in your hand, but I know too many people with their HTC's having chunks of their phones missing, scratches, and dings. I've dropped my phone a few times and it still looks like new with no sort of extra protection.
As I tweeted about this last night, whoever at Samsung designed the Touchwiz UI for ICS needs to be shot. Then fired. In that order. That is the WORST looking UI on an ICS device :\

Also the display isn't "true" HD, it's 720P, not 1080p and both use RGB and not RGBG (Pentile).

Well, you need a bigger screen and adults but many people like to see timely updates, and beautiful AOSP. Everyone has his choices. I'm moving from Note 2 to Nexus 4...

Well,its a matter of perspective...
Just my opinion, nexus 4's snapdragon is much faster than exynos 4. .just saying
seems a little disappointing from the reviews. Was expecting the bechmarks to match that of the optimus g since its built really similar to it and share similar internals. Still a great phone for the price, but wont touch the note 2.
hmm.. where are the benchmarks that say it doesn't match the optimus g? was actually thinking of buying this for someone as a xmas gift..

I have a Galaxy Nexus and I will check 4.2 on it. Not missing original Android at all.
Smaller screen with huge on-screen buttons making it even smaller...
Many homemade roms and kernels that dont bring a lot besides gadgetry and bugs.
No Sd card, no replaceable battery, unproven build quality.
The longer the list the better the Note 2 is looking.
I guess yeah if you are into going from one buggy rom or kernel to another one every two days maybe you need a Nexus 4 for that.
Good homemade roms/kernels can be counted on the fingers of one hand for each phone.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
Engadget claims that the battery of the Nexus 4 is half the battery of the optimus g and phone arena already stated that the note 2 has double the battery of the optimus g. So the answer is no, I don't want to downgrade from 8h of screen on time to just 2 or 3 hours.

www.engadget.com/2012/11/02/nexus-4-review/
checkout the performance and battery details..no where as good as our beast!
To all those people sagging about the performance and battery life issues, the reviewers had test units with totally beta software. in the review of the verge the device is even seen to have a software update available which hasn't been activated.
So:that's not an issue. the hardware is quad core snapdragon and 2GB ram, same as on lg optimus g,which is a beast in performance and battery life, and that's on ice cream sandwich!
Until then, take these reviews with a cup of salt
Again there shouldn't be a comparison between these 2 phones they are aimed at totally different markets.

3D Mark result

What is your 3D Mark result?
You can download it here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.futuremark.dmandroid.application
I'm a little surprised I get only 2727 while Tegra3 devices get almost 4400 and even one Tegra2 device was higher (overclocked maybe? or mistake... Galaxy Tab 10.1).
Ice Storm Extreme: 2060 (here only new generation devices are higher, so it's quite a good result)

According to reviews........ The app seems to not be working correctly or causing overheating for many users.
I'm a little leary to install the app because of overheating claims.

Don't worry about overheating- the kernel has some excellent thermal-management code in it that first downclocks you to 800MHz (which will kill your benchmark result ), then if that doesn't cool you down, shuts down the Note.

Erm, unless y'all are running phones with 1280x800 resolution, there's no point in comparing the scores of those with that of the Note.
I'm really disapointing about the results with that benchmark are. It's maybe because Exynos 4412 is not as powerfull as we thought

A stock nexus 7 will score around 12700 to 13000 .
I overclocked my nexus 7 to 1.6 ghz with motley's kernel and it scores 15000 .
Score for stock is about 12000-13000.
But to me antutu is doesn't really accurate, on some chinese tablet it score really high even higher than the nexus7 but real performance is really poor don't even close to how the nexus 7 feel in term of smoothness and also really bad overall and 3d game experience.

Also try a few things mentioned at the below link :

P.S After the reset its good to let your tablet to rest for 1-2 days and then run the benchmark.

Just checked and it looks like you have this or Tab 2's, no 2014 model so you probably have the best, fastest Android tablet on Verizon.
Here is to not trust this benchmark tests in anyway. I tested my tablets at the same time, same softwares installed, and restarted both and started Antutu test.

Yes thats true, but benchmarks will give you an indication where your device stands. E.x if I have a Note 3 and I see scores around 32k -36k and mine gives me lets say less than 27k then something wrong. That's the only reason I do benchmarks. To see if something is screwed
