[Q] Questions about bootloader unlocking

Hey Guys, i'm having a xperia PLAY for a long time and i've been unlocking the bootloader of it. On xperia devices you're losing DRM keys, when you're unlockoing it.
1.Happens something similar to the N7 when unlocking it?
2.And if you'd relock it, woukd it be in any way noticable that ialready had it unlocked?
3.What else are you losing besides the sdcard data?
Thanks

I can't answer question 1 for you, but for the other questions:
2: after unlocking, an unlocked symbol will be displayed while booting the device. After relocking, this symbol will disappear. As far as I know, there are no ways to find out if a device has been unlocked.
3: everything. Your device will return to factory settings.

Bootloader unlock without losing data, is it possible?

I am already unlocked and rooted, but I would like to relock the bootloader assuming that I can unlock it for future updates without losing data. The Nexus 5 had a boot locker app in the App Store which allowed this, but I do not find an option for the 6 P. I'm thinking it may not be possible but thought I would ask. Thank you in advance

No, you can't unlock the bootloader without wiping the device, it's a security feature. I'd advise keeping the bootloader unlocked anyway, if you somehow end up in a boot loop and need to flash the factory images to get the phone booting again you'll be forced to unlock the bootloader. This will wipe the device and you'll have no way to back up your data first. This may seem like an unlikely scenario but it happens more than you'd realise, sometimes randomly, sometimes because an OTA failed for whatever reason. Sure, you don't have the extra security of a locked bootloader but if you actually take care of your device this is a non-issue.

Only thing I can think of is waiting for a hack based root for mm or n and using that to temporarily gain root. Otherwise, just take a bunch of screenshots of prior chats then live with not being able to scroll up and immediately view them.

I don't know specifically about Kik, but you might explore Helium backup. In some situations it can back up apps and app data without root. (By activating the backup using a physical connection to your desktop computer.). Good luck!
The appa should be backed up if you turn that feature on in your Google settings.
You can back up most data with ADB.
Nobody is investing time in root without an unlocked bootloader.
It just doesn't make sense.
Don't lock the bootloader. You can get stuck in an infinite bootloop. If you want to get OTA updates download official firmware for your phone, flash AP, CP, BL and for CSC use HOME file. If you use HOME you won't lose the data, you will lose root but you can get OTA updates!

Guys, Do not encrypt your phone. Motorola dont have any resolution for this problem.
Infact their Engineer told there is no such option which enables pattern/password at the boot up (Can u believe it?). They have such ppl on their support.
My only options are:
1. Delete all data
2. Install custom recovery to access encrypted data. But i believe that will void my warranty.
If anybody has any other solution, please advise.
Solved it
Guys i have solved the issue
Saved my data too. no need for custom recovery.

Unlock bootloader without having access to settings on SM-A510F

So a mate of mine found an A5 recently without any identification on it. Thought he might as well keep it himself else it'll just be useless.
Problem is the phone's stuck in the initial setup so he asked me to unlock it. My plan was to install TWRP, wipe everything completely and flash the firmware again. I can't get to the settings to access the OEM unlock though. Is there any way to unlock the bootloader and/or get TWRP on there so I can completely wipe the phone?
Same situation here... How did it turned out?

is unlock bootloader will erase my data ??

Hi, I wanted to know if unlock bootloader will erase the phone data or not. Everyone has said something in different forums. I'm really confused.

It does. Use Google and Mi account to backup and restore your contacts, SMSes, call logs, etc.
Copy your photos to PC.
From Playstore, Library you can see which apps you had installed, to install them again.
I unlocked bootloader half a year ago, I think I had everything back the same evening
It will wipe - you have warning in Mi unlock when you choose to unlock bootloader
P.s.
