928f in boot loop, used smart switch but still boot loop - Galaxy S6 Edge+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

please help, woke up today with phone in boot loop and very hot, tryed odin to flash new firmware it was working fine, but near the end i get fail, so i used smart switch for phone initialization, with model and serial, it did his thing, but when it finishes and goes to reboot device it goes back to boot loop, what can i do?

So i take it from the lack of replies it's dead, so is there a way i can pull photos and videos from the internal memory? it still powers up, just stuck in boot loop, i can still get to download mode, just cant get into recovery, is there a way to get to the files?

If the phone is in bootloop she's not dead.
Try wiping it trough the fast boot menu and start over.

Ok, i searched and donwloaded platform tools to get ADB and fastboot, but from what i read i need to be in recovery for adb to pick up my phone, and i cant seem to get into recovery mode, pushing vol up + home + power does nothing, holding power to turn off phone also does not work, as soon as i connect phone to charger it turns on and goes into boot loop, only thing i can do is enter download mode, but in download mode i cant seem to get adb to find phone.

Put it in download mode, push an original OS from Samsung on it and after that you should be good 2 go.

I'm just getting used to my Samsung device and as yet, I have little experience with it however, with other devices
adb reboot-bootloader
or fastboot reboot recovery

Already tryed puting with odin, and with smart switch, odin gives error at the end and does not complete, smart switch finishes but phone just goes back into boot loop.

tryed those, but it seems i cant get adb to recognize my phone, maybe it's because it's in download mode?

So you already did this;
Phone in recovery mode; wipe it completely and restore to factory settings.
Phone in download mode; original OS via Odin.
After those steps it should work. Had to do the same to my phone last night. Lol.

the only part i didnt do is
Phone in recovery mode; wipe it completely and restore to factory settings.
because i cannot enter recovery, it supposed to be vol up+ home + power, but i think it requires phone to be off, and i cant turn phone off, holding power to turn it off does nothing, already let batery die, but as soon as i plug the cord it turns itself on, and goes back into boot loop, so again when i try the combo to go to recovery it does nothing (because i think it really needs to be off to enter recovery) so all i can do is do vol down + home + power and go to download mode, but i'm not getting adb to recognize phone in download mode, so i could command it to reboot to recovery =(

If you hold all buttons down it will restart the phone. And as soon as the screen goes black release all but volume up and power you should get into recovery mode

I'm having similar issues with my Galaxy S9+. When you say "Wipe it completely" I should do the standard wiping or advanced wiping and select all folders?

[Resolved] No Recovery Mode?

I've got a brand-new (Australian) P6810 (Wifi 7.7), and it doesn't let me boot into recovery mode at all. I can get into download mode with no problems (and so have been able to manually update to ICS) but without recovery mode its not letting me root the device.
Is it an issue just with mine, or are there others that have had the same issue? If so, has anyone been able to get around it by flashing a different recovery or something?
The issue is rather frustrating, especially since i had no problems rooting my i9000...
Your steps?

boot into download mode and try to install a custom recovery (CWM?) then you can root. you need to install recovery via download anyway
I've tried turning off, then holding Volume+Up and then powering on the device. It just then gives the Samsung boot animation. Turning it off, holding Volume+Down and powering it on goes into download mode just fine. I have made sure that USB debugging is enabled in the settings as well.
I've tried installing CWM recovery via Download Mode + Odin, and it still doesn't let me actually boot into recovery even though Odin says the flash worked successfully. In Odin i had "Auto Reboot" and "F. Reset Time" ticked, and put the CWM .tar file in the PDA field. I've tried CWM-20120710-p6810 and CWM-20120719-p6810 recoveries (found in other posts on here). I've also tried setting it to not-auto-reboot, and manually restarting and then holding Vol+up and it still just boots normally.
I've tried two builds of ICS (P6810XXLPK and P6810XXLPL), and when i tried going back to the Honeycomb (P6810DTKL5) that came with it, it just boot looped until i reflashed ICS.

Patience...
When you see the bootanimation, you think you lost.
Actually, keep holding down both buttons, device will shut down, keep holding, then ... voila your recovery.
You can click thanks now, then proceed with rooting and custom ROM's
power + up volume, let go of the power as soon as you see the samsung logo keep holding onto up volume until recovery boots
Yep that got it... i thought i had tried every combination of holding them, but obviously not.
Thanks all

That's weird. Can you install the Android SDK or ADT and get adb.
Then plug your S4 to the computer (I assume the drivers are installed?) and open up cmd. Set adb to your path variables or just browse over to the adb where you installed your SDK and run
Code:
adb devices
to see list of devices and check if yours is there. Then type
Code:
adb reboot download
Let me know if that works.

Well if CWM works, and you flashed a stock ROM using Odin, does the issue persist? If so, it could be a hardware issue then.
EDIT: Although the issue in the OP seems to be solved partially no? Can you boot normally to your ROM? Can you boot to recovery (vol-up + power)? Download mode (vol-down + power)? Anyone of them through adb?

You're supposed to press vol-down and power. Not menu. I guess that's a typo?
Anyway, if it doesn't work in those ways, I'm not sure what's left besides taking it to the shop and getting it replaced.
Does adb devices detect the phone as online? If so, you can try this toolkit and maybe that boots you to download mode?

Recovery Mode to start the Moto X play

and sorry for the English.
After that I decided to upgrade to Android 6.0 marshmallow Always restart the device in recovery mode. Even if I disconnect and reconnect it always falls into the Recovery screen.
I've tried reinstalling Rom Stock and does not normalize.
A note: I can not turn the appliance by pressing the Start button in Recovery Mode. But if I turn off the power he again falls into the recovery mode screen.
When he is off and the battery cable to the connected energy only appears to Recovery Mode screen.
Help me! I do not know what else to do.

Power off completely and try to get into fastboot mode by pressing both Power and Volume down button. If you able to access fastboot then no worries.

When you try to go in recovery mode keep pressed longer volume up and home, release power when screen is on. I had this issue and worked for me this way

Instantly reboots after booting into recovery

I installed LineageOS 14.1 but I was having some blue screens so I decided to go back to stock ROM but I had a brainfart and rebooted after wiping everything except microSD, and now I can't boot my phone normaly, nor enter recovery mode or download mode.
What is happening with TWRP recovery mode is that it seems to load properly but then it doesn't give me options or anything it just starts formatting cache or something for like 2 seconds and then just tries to reboot normally, but there's no OS so it just gives me a blue screen(im not at home right now but im panicking, i will upload a video for better understanding in a couple hours).
And with download mode it just stays on the charging screen.
Did I just brick my ****ing phone? Im on the verge of tears, I have been watching videos and reading for the past 2 hours and nothing seems to help

To boot into download mode, you must first turn it off then connect your phone to pc and then long press power up button.
As with the twrp formatting cache or something like that, you must have downloaded a buggy version. For now, if you have a pc nearby try to boot into twrp with adb.

Download mode still isn't working with the computer im trying, are you saying I just have to turn it off, plug it into the pc(charging screen appears), and just hold power button alone until I get to DL mode? Does my computer need a specific driver already installed for this?
And how would I go about giving my phone commands with adb if I can't boot it into anything? Should my pc recognize the device and be able to use adb when it's in the blue "Subsystem Crash" screen, or maybe when in the first 2 screens before booting into recovery where you have to press "Yes" twice, or when? Maybe when it's charging?
Thanks a lot for the help

Yes, you need to turn off your phone and plug the usb cable in your phone while holding volume up button until it goes into download mode( you must connect it to a pc or laptop). Also, you don't need specific drivers for that.
To boot into twrp with adb, you must first boot into os, or boot into twrp with hardware keys, assuming you can't do any of these then your only option is flashing a new kdz via download mode.
Edit: You need adb drivers installed on your pc if you're going to use adb commands on your pc.
