The Honor 8's box can be turned in to a VR box using the included lenses. It's a pretty decent little cardboard VR for checking out 360 videos and stuff. Here are some of the things you should try first.
YouTube VR
There are tons of cool 360 videos on YouTube. Some of the most popular are the roller coaster ones like this. There's also a great VR channel that posts some of the best videos from YouTube. I would also recommend throwing on your best headphones and checking out the some of the horror videos if you haven't experienced that yet. Some of them are really freaky.
Google Earth
Use the Google Cardboard app to launch Google Earth in VR mode. You can fly around locations with 3D maps for a really cool experience.
VR Tunnel Race
If you're up for a big of a challenge, this continuous tunnel racer game in one of the better games in this category. It's free on the Play store.
Water Slide Adventure VR
This water slide game is also really fun. It's similar to temple run and other coin collecting runners.

ANDROID TV OUT, How do i play games on my tv?

I recently say a you tube vid of someone playing android games on a big screen hd tv, with the atrix, my question is how do I do this? I have searched high and low but dont see how, my android just displays a motorola logo on my tv when I hook up the hdmi...
Its called hdmi mirroring. Both greyblur and gingerblur have this feature, if I remember correctly. But I believe it only works in portrait, not landscape.

Tried this just now with Gblur. Used webtop mode and played a game, okay a few games, of Angry Birds on the tv. It does work in ladscape. Double tap and hold to pull the bird back. Just awesome. I did not try the hdmi mirroring. Maybe later..
Heres a pic. Bad quality from low lighting taken w Cap.

Dragons Lair!

I purchased this today. I have been a HUGE fan of the LD games since the arcade days (remember those places?) and I must say that I was floored at the quality on the Play. Man, pocket DL...the *real* DL (not those side scrolling GBA remakes!)
I hope Digital Leisure brings more of these to the plate. This is just fantastic! I wish even more now that the Play had HDMI out!
Dragons Lair is cool on the play. There was talk of Space Ace for Android in the spring

Yes I have that as well. It brings back happy memories of the vast amount of tokens I dropped in that machine when it first appeared in the arcades.

I think it sounds interesting, and hopefully shows that companies are still pondering Android devices with gaming controls.
I'm not sure I'm a fan of the add-on controller strategy though... I do like that I always have the Play controls with me, conveniently tucked away when not in use.
EDIT: Note that it is a 10-inch tablet
I was interested. It does look good. Things like onlive would be great. In the end though, i just went and got the Asus transformer TF300.

Its kinda huge to be carrying all arround the place. Lol. The battery life it would drain with the game + gaming accesory would be terrible. Plus its gonna Cost how much??!! Why oh why couldn't they just make a device with a build in gamepad just like Play. Sony won't even bother like they not bothering giving us anymore update. What a waste.....
Somebody weak up sony ...

Blitz Brigade is the new Gameloft freemium game totally optimized for the Xperia Play. The performance and the visuals is amazing! The game seems follow the design of others PC Fremium Games like Team Fortress 2 and Battlefield Heroes; with the difference that it is not in the third person. The graphics follow cartoon style and have funny gameplay like TF2 and BFH. I'm have tested for many time, and i liked so much!

Not to sound like a complete @$$ but is there any reason why you couldnt have just added this as a post to the game thread alreaddy made? I really dont see a point in making a new thread when simply adding to what was already in place would work just as well.

Dont take it the wrong way, we people appreciate notices on updates and what not, but making a new thread is not necessary.

Forcing YouTube to offer Cardboard viewing mode option (or alternative?)

The YouTube app won't offer its "VR" mode for side-by-side viewing of ordinary 2D YT videos unless it believes you have a fully Cardboard compatible phone. While it's possible to sideload the Google Cardboard app, this does not solve the problem with YouTube. The issue is that a phone without compass and/or gyro (so, officially "not Cardboard compatible") is still completely capable of playing 2D YT videos through a Cardboard-type headset -- IF YT could be forced to offer the "Cardboard" viewing option to enable the split display. Does anyone know of a practical way to force this? Alternatively, is there a 3rd party app for doing this with YT videos that would actually work properly on the kind of phone under discussion? All the ones I've found so far that purport to do this are junk and don't really work. Thanks.
If the problem as I understand it is just playing the normal youtube videos in vr mode like this :

}
AND... if your android is 5.0 or higher, then "NOMone VR Broswer" (a free app on Google Play) solves the problem very well :good: .
