I recently tried flashing my phone cool pad cool1 as i was desperate to get my ota updates, when i try to flash it using YDGP tool is comes up with a error "check CID fail","bootloader is old" and several other errors that i saw in the dump file saved, so i tried updating all my driver's , but still it didn't work, then i tried a other trick of coverting my cpd file so that i can flash it through sp flash, but it was unsuccessful as i didn't find a .txt scatter file in download folder of YDGP tool, now i desperate,tired and i took it up as challenge to flash my phone at any rate

Is it equivalent to flashing my phone to its original manufacturer's state? I ll elaborate my problem onve again i want to have my ota update and in order to do that i have to flash my phone and thats where the problem pops up,i cannot flash my phone using pc ,i am having a error ,so will flashing the above rom with twrp help solve my problem and is the above rom a custom rom??

if you are stuck in boot loop or having difficulty starting your phone, don't worry, there should be a way.
I have experienced this issue today after flashing wrong file causing my phone to stuck in boot loop. after searching in this forum and after spending over 3 hours, I finally managed to restore my phone and it is now working perfectly fine.
therefore, I thought of making a basic guide to try to resolve such issues. please note, this is a very basic guide to resolve problems with starting your phone, I am not professional but will try to share my experience and help anyone in need. this was done on X10i
lets start:
1- if you have a recent back up and have access to xrec, you can simply restore your phone
2- if you have access to xrec but don't have a backup, try to flash a new ROM
I tried the previous two steps but it kept saying can't mount SD, therfore try the following
3- if you don't have xrec access, use the flash tool

then flash generic 2.1 to your x10, I used this one http://www.mediafire.com/?sqv6274anzfzn2x

I have had problem saying "install or re-install drivers", you just need to install the file in the drivers folder in the flash tool main folder and restart the flash tool program
4- after flashing this ROM, restart your phone and root it using the flash tool, after the root your phone will restart, then you need to ask for premession and click xrec to install xrec to your phone
5- before installing new ROM, please make sure that your baseband and karnel is compatible with it (because the ROM you flashed earlier has old karnel and you will be stuck again in the boot loop if you flashed 2.3.3 just like me, then you will need to start again and install new karnel before instaling 2.3.3 ROM or even restore 2.3.3 ROM)
(you can simply install the new ROM then restart in flash mode and flash the new karnel .71 or flash the karnel and restore your backup)
I know that my choices of flash tool version or generic 2.1 version might not be the best, but I used them and resolved my issue and hope it will resolve yours. for any question please do not hesitate to ask me.

it sounds to me that u may need to install the semc flash drivers.. inside the flashtool u may find a folder named drivers, go inside of that folder and install ggsetup.. also do u have pc companion installed?

I have an X10a, can I use the X10i software that you've linked in your post or is it just going to brick my phone.

so i tryed flashing STOCK rom via FP/SP flash tool (whatev it's name is) i tryed all versions that can be found on the website.
i cant load scatter file "ERROR: initializing scatter file failed. Please check the name of scatter file which you loaded is legal."
i repeat, i tryed all versions that can be found on the website, it wont work.
also, i did try flashing it via CWM, but error status 7 happened, (i fixed that , looked up at youtube)
then i tryed again but theres another problem, error status 6.

Hi guys, been a while since I haven't posted but I just got a new note 4 so of course I wanted to root it, custom roms and everything.
It works like a charm but I just can't copy a custom rom on it from my computer. So i tried to download it directly on my phone which seems to work but when I flash it I have an error, the same as when I try to flash it with a rom from my computer.
When I try to copy a rom, the copy doesn't process to the end. It stopped and I don't know why. I tried to copy music, movies and it worked perfectly I could read all the files without problem. It's like if the note 4 know it's a rom and doesn't want it ^^
So could it be a problem from the phone ? The recovery (I'll try to install a new one) ? Or something that I'm not aware of. I tried to look for a thread with my problem but couldn't find any...
This is the error message I get when I try to flash a rom : " Error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard/Download/NameOfTheRom.zip' "

Edit 2 : I installed CWM recovery to try and install the rom I wanted and I have an interresting message : "This package is for device: trltexx,trltedt ; This device is trlte"
Does it mean I can't install any aosp rom because they are not made for my phone ? I didn't even know they were two types of snapdragon note 4. But since my note is a snapdragon every rom on the thread should work ?
Final edit ! Thanks to the error message I got from cwm recovery I finally found out what was the problem... And I flashed the wrong recovery ! So if anyone can't flash a rom just intall the right recovery ^^

Hey, yesterday i tried to clean flash RR ROm (already was using it) and when i flashed the rom zip file, it showed patching system image uncondtionally , and flashing file 1 of 1 for like 30 min then i turned off my device. And one more thing, when i am copyingthe rom files from pc to device, the progress bar goes well upto like 50% and then suddenly closes. But copied file size is same as of original. Is this the main problem?

Also again went to oneplus recovery using that unbrick method and then tried to install OOS 2.2.1 using adb sideload method, but it stops at 47% everytime. What could be the reason? Should i go to service center tomorrow because from wednesday i will be having my exams and i want my phone up and running by tomorrow evening. Please help me . It's an emergency. Also asked for help at xda RR ROm forum but no such help yet .

Hello, what's up? my phone is bricked, I need help to restore it to the rom stock or to install a version that makes it work again.
First of all I tell you what happened, try to install an image of a rom gsi android PIE (treble). It did not work, and it stayed in bootloop.
Huawei's Multi-tools program tells me that it has version b374 c636, but phoenix says "Current version: VKY-Global-CUST 9.0.1 (C999)"
Beyond that I can not make any twrp recognize me as to transfer the files from the computer, so I'm using an external SD card.
I downloaded the same firmware I had before, b374 c636 for the VKY-l29 but I can not install it, and probe with the huawei update extractor, and flashing the images separately, but also try to put the dload folder with the update file .app but when it reaches a certain percentage of installation, a "software installation failed" message appears
also try with the hwota8, putting the 3 zips with the "recovery no-check" and with the file of hwota-update.zip. But when I install it with the twrp reboots and it stays locked in verifying update ..
I do not know what else to do, if someone could help me solve it I would appreciate it I am desperate.

Hi, I was helped and escape the bootloop by flashing thiw one here, but it is only for C432.
Could you possibly find a similar version?
