GPS spoofing errors - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S8+ Guides, News, & Discuss

Hi! I've used various spoofing apps on my s7 and they worked fine but, now everyone I use on my s8+ always gives me a gps location not found error.
I've already enabled mock location in developer settings?
Help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Gage

Location awareness MN 4.5.6 NC 1.2

I am still hung up on Maps, News&Weather etc. not finding location or force closing. So question: I looked under /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db from root explorer and the value for "location providers allowed is GPS. Could that have something to do with my problems? Would changing it to Network do anything?
Not sure if the settings will help, but conventional wisdom on this issue is to run FakeGPS for this.

Thank you for the suggestion. I did install FakeGPS when I read somewhere in the forum that it works. It did make Google Search bar work and Google Maps stopped force-closing -- still keeps asking for location though--- but it had no effect on the News and Weather widget force-closing.

[Solved] Mock locations - fake gps not working

Hey all,
Just got a 6p and have run into an issue. I need the ability to set a fake location but I can't seem to get it to stick on the 6p.
I have tried a few different apps and even ran the expert mode via root with the " Fake GPS" app by MegApps. The location settings are set to device only with both WiFi and Bluetooth scanning options turned off. Yet no matter what I seem to do, the phone still picks up its native gps signal canceling out my mock location.
Anyone know a fix or have any suggestion? Any insight would be appreciated
Running stock with root and tried android N
Edit: After trying numerous apps I finally found one that worked properly. Not sure what's different about it but "Location Cheater" in the play store works
Hey I saw three apps with "Location Cheater" as a name in the play store. Which one worked?

Reminder based on my current location

Hey guys,
I find the feature in Google Now to create reminders based on my location. I find that very interesting and check out directly. But I realized that it does not work in my case. The location service is active. I use the feature in Germany. Can anyone help?
It does work, You must have a setting disabled.
Or maybe Battery Optimsation is sleeping the app.
Basically you need GPS enabled, and it needs to be activated at your location.
Try disabling them from the Battery Optimisation.
I know it works, as i use it all the time to remind me when i am at Asda to pickup various items i would normally forget.
Thank you for the reply.
In the Battery Optimsation Settings are all apps listed but not the Google Now app.
The App is using my location and GPS is enabled, see the screenshot below. Do you have any idea?

How to disable "Fused Location Service"?

Hi,
I'm using an app called GPS Joystick to mock location and it worked fine on my previous nexus devices.
Now that i have a Huawei P9 Lite, i can not manage to make it work as before and it keep rubberbanding between real location and mock location.
The developper give the information that all that is done is disabling "Fused Location Service" in order to avoid that.
Trying to do that directly with an app like disable services, i cannot reboot (stuck at attached screen every time) the phone once the service is disabled, and i have to restore from a previous backup.
Anyone can help me understand what is specific to that phone to disable location services so that app can not get access to real location even if GPS is enabled?
Thanks
I have the same problem with p9lite using fake gps ... Anyone know how patch it?

Hey your p9lite is branded or debranded?
I had the same issue when disabling location service, phone went to bootloop. It never happen to other phones. guess huawei lock the service so that its hard to disable it. anyone has success to disable location service without bootloop??
I have the same issue with Huawei P8. Everytime I disabled fused location service can't boot the phone...
Have you tried older roms? Before security patch?

Help! My Firewall doesn't work!

I have a Custom ROM Installed. I was trying to do a glitch in a game which requires Firewall. I used the NoRoot Firewall. But it doesn't work for me, When I click turn off the internet access. It doesn't turn it off. I also tried it with YouTube it doesn't work either. I decided to install AFWall+ It works like once but when I tried to turn it off it sometimes said "error purging iptables" Is there any way to fix it?
Post lacks information to even guess .
Why don't you just disable wifi/data useage from app info settings?
Just a toggle to enable or disable internet iseage of a specific app.
