How to turn off the Do not disturb section using the Volume buttons shortcut - Google Pixel XL Guides, News, & Discussion

If you dont want your volume down button to turn on alarms only then follow this below its how to turn it off.
So far the option to disable it is hidden in the N previews. Slide down the quick settings shade and hold down the settings gear icon for a few seconds then let go. You should now unlock a new "System UI Tuner" entry in the settings app, right above "About phone". From there, in the "Do not disturb" section you'll find a "Volume buttons shortcut" toggle. This section does not exist on Marshmellow or older.

¸¸.•*¨*•.¸¸ screen activation option with BT ear set

Is there a way in which I can keep the screen locked while a BlueTooth ear set is being used in order to keep the active screen from opening other programs and calling others while in my pocket?
I believe if you hit the settings menue at the bottom left corner it says "LOCK SCREEN"
I'm failing to find "lockscreen"
clicking the "menu" button under the settings tab only brings up "all settings"
Is there another way to find lockscreen or did you, by chance, leave out a few steps?

[Q] CM7 #21 Lockscreen issues

hi guys
i've flashed my legend with the cm7 nightly build #21
now i'm facing some issues regarding the lockscreen and i hope some of you can help me with this:
1. is there any possibility to remove or switch the haptic effect while unlocking?
2. when i push the power button, the phone is not locked, because when i press it immediately afterwards again, the homescreen appears.
thx
I'm running CM 6.1 so things might be a little different, but I know there is a settings (I believe it's under "CyanogenMod settings") that lets you change the time it takes for the screen to lock after going to sleep or ressing the power button.
You might also find the answer to the haptic problem in there somewhere too.

I presume you have a "pattern unlock" screen and from there you want haptic feedback removed. For that go to Settings - Location & Security and under "Screen unlock" section you have "Use tactile feedback" option. Untick that to have no vibrations when drawing the pattern.

Go to CyanogenMod Settings - Lockscreen and the last section is "Delay and timeout". You have 2 options there "Screen timeout delay" and "Screen turn off delay". Set them both to "Immediately" (by default is something like 3 or 5 seconds) and you're done

[Q] Settings button doesn't work

Hello,
My S5 is SM-G900H from Ukraine.
I am trying to enter Settings menu, but I can't...
I am long pressing on left touch button, but it turns on the: "Wallpapers\Widgets\Home screen settings"
How can I enter settings menu page then ? (besides entering the settings app directly)
Thank you
Please help
Pull down the notification menu from the top. There is a configuration menu icon on the upper right corner (wheel-shaped icon).
I am trying to get in to the settings menu via the left touch button
You can't access it that way. It has changed from the S4. Swipe from the top

only way is to root your device and install gravity box (xposed) and reassign the key
I also hate the new button change, that's why I rooted my phone
What rooting will add my phone ?

Button Settings are not available in General Settings

Maybe there is no this func, but I saw on the demo in youtube that there should be a possibility to customize hardware buttons behavior. Also should be possible to enable swipe on Home button.
If you type in search box in General Settings keyword "camera" it will show you that there should be some settings in Buttons, to set behavior. But if you press on context link - it shows button menu but very limited.
Do you have one?
Thanks

If I'm not wrong swipe on Home is available on ZUI home, not Cyanogen OS.
On Buttons menu you can set home long press action, home doube tap action (doesn't work on latest update).
I personally use "All In One Gestures" app to configure buttons

Thanks a lot. I will try!
The reason is I would like to set a camera on double tap action and cannot find how to do it by default.

In Settings -> About Phone turn on Advanced mode. Then you can configure buttons. I have it set up just as you'd like it, double tap for camera, works perfectly for me with latest update.

Android O: bug with do not disturb

When I select "do not disturb" icon, the options do not show any longer: gotta slide down fully notification bar and click on small arrow next to icon to choose the three different modes.
Also when using volume keys, the do not disturb options are not shown, even if enabled from settings (see attachment).
Thanks
